  • Enjoying The Sun is a 2.2 Hard platformer level by AutoNick. It is the first-ever rated platformer level in Update 2.2 and the second rated level overall for the update, after Dastardly.

    Description

    [edit | edit source]

Enjoying The Sun begins with the player dropping into a peaceful landscape above a deadly body of water as a mini-cube. This first section involves jumping onto large rocky landforms, culminating in the player hitting a switch orb that turns their gravity and camera rotation to the side.

The next section's gameplay takes place along the cliffside of a waterfall, where the player must climb through two trees and jump over a small lava pit. Near the end, the player goes through a blue gravity portal, resetting their gravity and turning them into normal size. They then go through an empty, dark hallway that ends in an unskippable lava pit. The player can jump into the lava, triggering a slow-motion effect as they descend.

    The Dungeon

    [edit | edit source]

A cutscene plays once the player gets to the start of this section, showing the rest of the level in full. It is also where the first and only checkpoint is placed. The player must go through various fiery obstacles, including rotating lava bars, a randomized fireball section similar to the one found in The Cellar, and jumping lava bubbles. There is also another obstacle that changes the player's gravity to point in the direction the arrow points, located in the section's final room, which the player must touch in a certain order to reach the end.

    Secrets

    [edit | edit source]

While there are no user coins, there are 25 coins the player can collect to increase their score; some are more hidden than others. Some notable coins include:

    • A coin in the first section that requires collecting a hidden diamond, temporarily sprouting a climbable beanstalk used to reach it.
    • A coin that is found by going behind the waterfall during the slanted section.
    • Multiple coins that are found in a hidden gem room within The Dungeon.
    • A green coin in the final room that requires the player to 'fight' a skeleton background figure by jumping on it.

    Trivia

    [edit | edit source]
    • Enjoying The Sun uses seven songs and 49 SFX.
      • Enjoying The Sun is the first rated level to use more than one song.
    • Enjoying The Sun was shown in one of the trailers for Update 2.2, which suggests that the level was made in advance.[1]
      • AutoNick is one of the few people RobTop gave access to Update 2.2 before its official release, which confirms this fact.
    • Enjoying The Sun is one of the first rated levels in Update 2.2, along with Dastardly, Bouncy Castle, and WACKY WONDERLAND.
      • The reason why the levels were released on the same day is that the creators of these levels had access to a beta version of Update 2.2 that allowed them to create custom levels ready for the update's release.
    • As of 27 March 2026, Enjoying The Sun is the sixth most-downloaded and eighth most-liked platformer level in the game.
    • The maximum high score possible to achieve is 6,500.
    • Hidden in the editor is a secret room at the beginning of the dungeon with two moving platforms and a key in the centre. Collecting the key will cause 14 blue coins to appear scattered throughout the room, activating a timer. After 10 seconds, the timer will stop, and the coins will disappear. However, accessing this room within the level itself is impossible without exploiting bugs or cheats, as blocks block the entrance and cannot be opened using triggers.
      • Apparently, it was planned to include user coins, but AutoNick was unable to implement them, most likely because he ran out of time.

    Bugs

    • Hitting the custom orb at the beginning at the right moment can send the player flying into the void.
    • Jumping into the lava pool not on the first try could lead to a softlock.
