Keres
Keres is a 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level hosted by ItsHybrid, verified by Crisis on 7 October 2021.[1] It is a buffed and extended remake of Erebus, a level famous for being in the original RGB trilogy. Despite the pre-extension restoring most of Erebus' somewhat simpler gameplay, the extension features considerably fast duals and very complex gameplay.
Description
[edit | edit source]The first half of Keres is a buffed, slightly altered version of Erebus. As the first half is a buffed version of Erebus, ilrell's gameplay for the original level carries over. For information on the gameplay of the first half, see Erebus.
- 0-5% (Salamander): This part is a buffed version of 0-8% in Erebus. The first part of the mini-ship has obstacles to dodge, unlike Erebus.
- 5-8% (MakFeed): This part is a buffed version of 8-13% in Erebus.
- 8-15% (Don): This part is a buffed version of 13-22% in Erebus. A short ship dual was added when flying through the Clubstep monster.
- 15-21% (RealVet): This part is a buffed version of 22-32% in Erebus.
- 21-26% (Firs): Like the original level, there is a short automatic segment containing the level's title screen. The one for Keres was made by Firs.
- 26-29% (Majkomar + Esencia): This part is a buffed version of 40-44% in Erebus.
- 29-34% (Esencia): This part is a buffed version of 44-53% in Erebus.
- 34-40% (StarkyTheSalad): This part is a buffed version of 53-61% in Erebus. There are no mirror portals, however.
- 40-44% (Zimnyte): This part is a buffed version of 61-68% in Erebus. A dash orb was added in the wave gameplay.
- 44-50% (Avati): This part is a buffed version of 68-76% in Erebus.
- 50-53% (Woom): This part is a buffed version of 76-81% in Erebus.
- 53-57% (ViRuZ): This part is a buffed version of 81-88% in Erebus.
- 57-64% (Isane): This part is a buffed version of 88-98% in Erebus. After the quintuple spike jump, the extension begins.
The second half of Keres is an extension. This part contains some fast-paced gameplay and duals. Just like the first half, the gameplay was created by ilrell.
- 64-71% (CuLuC): The extension begins with CuLuC's part, containing fast game-mode changes and sloped objects. The part starts with two cube timings, followed by a tight mini-ship. After going through a teleport portal, the player becomes a cube that changes to a UFO after one timing. Next is an extremely short mini-ship that launches the player into a dash orb. The dash orbs lead the player to a tight wave, followed by many fast spider timings. The part ends with some wave spam.
- 71-78% (SyQual): SyQual's part starts with a mini-ball timing followed by some UFO timings, hitting jump orbs. The part then slows down as the player holds down on dash orbs in a mini-wave symmetrical dual, directly before some fast-paced timings with gravity portals and a spam at the end of the dual. After a short straight-fly ship segment, the player enters an automatic blue pad transition.
- 78-86% (Unerve): Unerve's part is a long and tight asymmetrical dual with all game-modes except for robot and UFO. The dual begins with a mini-cube and a mini-ball. Next is a mini-spider and a mini-ship. After some fast timings, both icons become a mini-wave for two more timings. Then, one wave becomes a mini-cube, while the other icon remains a wave. Both icons then briefly become mini-balls before a wave and a mini-ball dual. After the player exits the dual, they become a wave and must go around sloped structures and spikes.
- 86-96% (Gaudium): Gaudium's part begins with some cube timings before some mini-cube timings. The player briefly changes into a ball before becoming a mini-cube again. Next is some mini-ball timings before another dual-wave with gravity portals and a mini-wave spam at the end. The level ends with an extremely tight black orb timing, followed by a short automatic segment leading to a final sextuple spike jump.
- 96-100% (HJfod, End Screen): HJfod's end screen displays the creators and the verifier with green and yellow gears in the corners of the screen.

- Keres is the personification of fate among the ancient Greeks; originally, the souls of the dead became bloodthirsty demons, bringing people suffering and death.
- The ancient Greeks also represented the Keres as winged female creatures that flew up to a dying person and abducted their soul.
- The placement of BLITZ on 11 June 2026 pushed Keres into the Legacy List of the Demonlist.
- Nine years after the initial placement of Erebus, there are no Erebus-related levels on the list.
