TON 618 is a physically impossible 2.1 level by Pooch and Arctic, published on 3 March 2021. It is themed around outer space and TON 618, a quasar that contains one of the biggest supermassive black holes that has ever been discovered. The level features gameplay with extremely tight gaps that are physically impossible for a player's icon to fit through, alongside clicking and computational frames that are well beyond both current computer and human capabilities.

Creation

[edit | edit source]

TON 618 was uploaded during the 2.1 era as a joke level. fnm04 published one of the earliest full bot showcases in August 2021. The level had to be recorded at 0.05x speed, then sped up due to severe lag.

The level consists mainly of extremely tight wave spam that requires thousands of clicks per second. The creators compressed almost all level data onto a single editor layer, making the level notorious for crashing the built-in editor if players attempt to modify or nerf it without external tools.
