Allegiance is a 2.0 Extreme Demon level by nikrodox, initially verified by Rewayde (formerly Rlol)[1] and later reverified by EndLevel.[2] The level is the second instalment of the Dedication Series, the sequel to Dedication and the prequel to Renevant. The level features straight-flying, tight-wave parts, and fast transitions. Some decorations obscure the player's view of the level (mostly seen in the segments following the drop in the song), especially in the unnerfed version.

History

[edit | edit source]

Allegiance is the second instalment in the Dedication Series. Created as a sequel to Dedication, a Harder 7-star level also created by nikrodox, Allegiance was uploaded on 14 June 2016. However, it was not rated for many months after its verification. It was placed at #15 on the original Demon List on 12 November 2016. Rewayde originally verified Allegiance; however, after it was rated, nikrodox updated the level to use a version of the song without vocals, so EndLevel verified an update that used the original song.

Before any verifications, the level was harder, with much more obstructive decoration and harder wave and UFO parts. However, the level was considered too difficult at the time, leading to nerfs that brought it to its current state. The actual unnerfed version is not on the servers, with the only proof of its existence being a 2016 comparison video by @AkyuuHakarei that used EndLevel's original showcase of unnerfed Allegiance, and a video on EndLevel's second channel (@endalt9943). EndLevel and nikrodox had made buffed versions of the unnerfed level but never renamed them. Due to the buffed versions still retaining the 'unnerfed' name, nikrodox released one of these versions later on, and that version has become what most of the community thinks is the unnerfed version. The description specifies it is from 2017, which means it cannot be the unnerfed version, since the first verified version is from 2016, yet everyone overlooked that. Laniakea, a South Korean top player, became the buffed version's first victor on 8 April 2023, and stated that the level could be considered Extended List-worthy at the time of completion.[3]

Description

[edit | edit source]
  • 0-30%: Allegiance begins with a cube section with 'NP' for 'NikroPlays' written in the background, a Low Detail Mode key, and dedications to some players. The player is then taken up a slope and launched right into the level. This part is filled with rainbow decorations and multiple crosses pulsing in the background, with 'Nikro' written at the beginning. A pad with a double-speed portal takes the player to a hard cube section, where they must time the orbs perfectly to get through. The player then enters a short robot segment before a mini-cube sequence, ending with a green orb that sends the player upward to the next section. Next comes a ship segment with numerous black lines appearing in front of the player and blocking their view. Teleportation portals also have gravity portals on exit to throw the player off. At the end of this ship segment, the player enters an auto-ball section as a transition into the next chunk of gameplay.
  • 30-47%: A dark ball section is next, containing a lot of timing and an active, colour-changing background. When this ball ends, the player enters a remarkably narrow wave at half speed, with lots of gravity portals and gears to avoid. A text saying 'READY?' appears, and the player enters a UFO portal right before the drop kicks in.
  • 47-78%: The drop segment starts with a dark triple-speed UFO with a cluster of gravity and mini-portals, making it very hard to follow what is going on. The player later transforms into a ship with more orbs and straight-flying than portals, then back into a UFO again, right before a hard mini-robot is used as a transition. The second half of the drop starts as a fast, tight wave with size and gravity portals, making it extremely difficult to pass. Then the player enters a robot segment with streams of orbs where they must hit a certain orb to get through, similar to the first gameplay section of the level. Next, a section with three fast game-mode changes appears before a short cube segment, followed by a straight-fly into the next part.
  • 78-100%: A half-speed cube segment comes next with many orbs and effects in the background reminiscent of a ray and many stars. Then, the player enters a cube/ship dual for a moment before going back into a cube. Next, the player enters a swing-copter section with numerous moving objects and effects, before the screen goes black for a second, after which the player enters a mini-ship segment with some hard straight-flying and orb timings. The last section of the level is a very tight 'corridor' starting with a tight wave segment, then a straight-fly ship segment, and finally a cube sequence. The level ends with one last triple-spike and text saying 'GG' right above it before the player reaches the end, with the creator's name appearing along with 'Verified by EndLevel'.

User coins

[edit | edit source]
  • The first coin is located at 15% in the first cube section. The player must hit the blue orb, not the green orb, to get it.
  • The second coin is located at 45% in the wave segment. To collect it, the player must fly through a narrow space as a wave, go through a mini-portal midway, and exit as a normal-sized wave.
  • The third and final coin is located at 98%. To collect it, the player must hit the invisible yellow orb right after going through the cube portal.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • Upon the creation of the modern Demonlist on Pointercrate on 4 January 2017, Allegiance was placed at #14 on 4 January 2017, above aftermath and below Artificial Ideology.
  • Allegiance is the sequel to nikrodox's other level, Dedication, which is one of the hardest Harder levels, with its actual difficulty being equivalent to an Easy Demon.
    • Both use songs by The Living Tombstone and share similar decorations in some parts.
  • nikrodox has released a sequel to Allegiance called Renevant. nikrodox had finished the level with rori as the official verifier. Aquiver was the previous verifier (after EndLevel had the level for a little while).
    • Aquiver has gotten many good runs, including 20-100% and 66% off recording, as well as 20-77% and 55-100% on stream. He later dropped Allegiance and gave it to Wooshi, who also dropped it and gave it to rori, who finally verified it.
      • Unfortunately for Aquiver, he also managed to beat Allegiance off-stream, but as there was no proof, the level could not be considered legitimately verified.
    • There is a sequel to Renevant called Anathema, the final instalment of the Dedication Series.
  • The original unnerfed version is considered harder than Yatagarasu, according to EndLevel.
  • EndLevel made a super-buffed rendition of the unnerfed version, featuring an extension by nikrodox. This version is considered practically impossible.[4]
  • The song for Allegiance is the vocal version of 'I Got No Time' by The Living Tombstone, a fan-made song for the fourth instalment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series of horror video games. It was temporarily changed to the instrumental version before EndLevel reverified it to restore the original song.
  • Surv managed to beat Allegiance quickly, with about 1,400 attempts. Sunix later completed it with just 1,000 attempts.
  • Popular YouTuber Sdslayer is known to be an avid Allegiance fanatic and has beaten the level 79 times as of 26 March 2026.
  • The placement of Extinction on 15 April 2019 pushed Allegiance into the Legacy List of the Demonlist for the first time.[5]
    • However, after the Demonlist extension from 100 to 150 spots, Allegiance was back on the Extended List.
      • The placement of Ithacropolis on 15 September 2019 pushed Allegiance into the Legacy List for the second time.[6]
