CYCLOLCYC
CYCLOLCYC (also stylised as CyclolcyC) is a 2.1 impossible level by the members of TeamPoopfish. It is the sequel to Ballistic Wistfully. The level is renowned for being a former Top 1 on the Impossible Levels List (ILL) and is currently ranked #6, as of 3 July 2026.
Description
[edit | edit source]Uploaded on 7 December 2021, CYCLOLCYC is a 2-player level featuring a wide array of complex mechanics and gameplay styles. It successfully defended its #1 spot for over a year before being dethroned by Tax Evasion. The level gained massive popularity due to its extreme length (over six minutes) and insane mechanics that pushed the absolute limits of botting technology at the time. The entire level maintains a consistent dark blue theme with no colour transitions.
(Note: In the editor, there are only some parts where the creator's name is mentioned, but it does not apply to every part.)
- 0.00-1.75%: CYCLOLCYC begins with 22 double-spike jumps. Each requires three clicks within a single frame at 1,974 FPS, giving the player a ~0.5ms timing window per jump.
- 1.75-7.42%: This section features straightforward but humanly impossible cube, robot, and ball gameplay.
- 7.42-11.37%: The first ship, wave, and dual gameplay sections appear. Difficulty ramps up rapidly with invisible buffs and tight gaps.
- 11.37-11.40% (the infamous 11%): The player encounters an invisible, rotated half-speed portal. Depending on the entry angle, the frame alignment changes, potentially making subsequent parts physically impossible.
- 11.40-15.15%: Features varied gameplay with invisible buffs. Just before the drop, a brutal 2-player ship segment leaves the player with roughly 5-frame windows for most movements.
- 15.15-30.94%: The first major 2-player drop. Both sides switch game-modes rapidly. The bottom player faces significantly more frame-perfects (approx. 43) compared to the top player (approx. 11).
- 30.94-31.38%: An infamous ball part requiring frame-perfect precision and the specific alignment from the 11% portal.
- 31.38-37.97%: The 2-player gameplay continues with tight timings and invisible buffs.
- 37.97-45.40%: The first minuswave section. While visually less complex, the difficulty remains extreme.
- 45.40-45.92%: A short transition featuring three stacked dash orbs. This part requires three clicks in a single frame at 1,974 FPS or higher.
- 45.92-52.81%: The second minuswave part, including brief ship and ball segments.
- 52.81-53.34%: A ship transition where the difficulty takes a significant dip.
- 53.34-58.88%: A cube-based orb section. While easier than previous parts, it requires exactly 282 clicks to proceed. Deviating by even one click results in an unskippable death.
- 58.88-59.97%: The only humanly possible part of the level—a narrow but manageable ship section.
- 59.97-63.74%: The difficulty spikes again with 1 and 2-player segments leading into the second major drop.
- 63.64-70.08%: The start of the second major drop, containing approximately 28 frame-perfect clicks within dual gameplay.
- 70.08-77.90%: A long minuswave section alternating between big and small wave forms.
- 77.91-83.59%: Dual gameplay featuring the ball and ship.
- 83.59-84.19%: Another alignment-dependent ball timing. Failure at the 11% portal makes this physically impossible.
- 84.19-89.17%: Cube dual gameplay. Frame alignment is again crucial to avoid an impossible pass.
- 89.17-89.41%: A simple dual-ship transition.
- 89.41-95.03%: A dual section where decoration masks the true difficulty. A 'spike box' follows one player, making the ship flight much tighter than it appears.
- 95.03-95.50%: Final ship transition.
- 95.50-99.43%: Dual-wave gameplay while the spike box continues its pursuit.
- 99.43-100%: The end screen. It features 2-player ship gameplay and a sawblade wall that only retracts if the player finishes with exactly 3,870 clicks.
Gameplay
[edit | edit source]Trivia
[edit | edit source]- The first cube part requires, at each double-spike jump, three clicks in one frame at 1,974 FPS. It only gives the player a ~0.5ms timing window to execute a pro jump.
- CYCLOLCYC utilises negative scale mechanics in certain segments, rendering object hitboxes nonexistent.
- There is the so-called infamous 11% (11.37%) part, where the player encounters an invisible, rotated half-speed portal. Depending on how the player hits the portal, it changes the frame alignment and makes subsequent parts impossible to complete.
- The current world record is 0-0.23% by scarlllet.
- The ball part at 30.94-31.38% is frame perfect and requires the correct frame alignment from the speed portal at 11%.
- This part at 58.88-60% is the only humanly possible part in the entire level.
- The ball timing at ~83.59% is physically impossible if the player messed up the alignment at the infamous 11% speed portal.
- At the end screen, there is a wall of sawblades which only gets turned off by completing the level with exactly 3,870 clicks. Even just one click too many or too few prevents the player from completing the level.
- CYCLOLCYC features 216 frame-perfect clicks (on 1,974 FPS), 90 of which occur in the first 1.75%.
