The Flawless is a 2.0/2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level by AlexOnYT (formerly IIIRyanIII) and more, initially verified by TrusTa.[1] The level was reverified by ButterFishYT following a nerf-date on 5 December 2020.[2] It is known for its tight spaces, intense timings and crazy segments. It is generally considered an Extreme Demon but rarely an Insane Demon.
Description
[edit | edit source]- 0-8% (AlexOnYT): The Flawless begins with a half-speed wave segment featuring a size portal and numerous tight one-block-space areas. The text 'IlIRyanIlI' (AlexOnYT's former name) appears at the beginning, signalling his part. The following texts appear as the player flips up and down: 'No Need', 'To Live....' and 'Die Already!!!!'
- 8-13% (Atheoz): Next, there is a half-speed mini-ship sequence that features tight spaces that move periodically, and the text 'Atheoz', which marks that it is his part. There are also a few tricky gravity portals, and after that, a normal-speed cube section with some simple memorisation. It then leads into an auto part with blue pads at half speed, then into double speed, during which text reads 'Bounce' across the screen.
- 13-34% (Xevenfurious): Afterwards is a very tight mini-ship sequence with a teleportation portal as well as many tricks that are considered difficult to deal with. It leads to a difficult UFO segment with some tight jumps and tricky orbs. Then, a mini-ball segment features a few hard timings and the text 'Xevenfurious'. This section concludes with a triple-speed ship sequence comprised of several tight timings.
- 34-50% (Raptorz + Reverier): This part is a very long and extremely tight ship sequence comprised of numerous orbs, gravity portals, size portals, and some super tight spaces that almost match the limits of the ship game-mode. During this section, the texts 'Raptorz' and 'Design by Reverier' appear. Then there is a difficult, fast-paced cube section with some memorisation, invisible orbs, and lots of timings, followed by a bit of straight-flying in one-block space.
- 50-71% (Reverier): This part is a triple-speed cube section in which the player must hit invisible pink orbs with fairly difficult timings. After hitting a blue orb, the player must jump at the end of the column space after hitting a blue pad. The following section features a green orb, a blue orb and two invisible pink orbs inside the blocks, yet the player should keep holding to avoid hitting the first pink orb because the spike column is high. Then, it features a quintuple-spike jump with a tiny spike at the end, and after that is an invisible blue orb, and then a normal jump into three invisible pink orbs at the columns going up after hitting. The rest features timings with a few gravity portals and orbs, mainly two pink ones, and then a straight-fly and a small auto section, then a robot part with many timings. During this robot part, the text 'Reverier' appears after a quintuple-spike and a near-end ceiling, then follows two orb timings and a teleport portal, before an invisible blue orb with two other orb timings. The rest of the level features more timings and a pink orb row. Then there is a half-speed ball segment with two difficult timings, transitioning into Megaspeed's part.
- 71-79% (Megaspeed): The player enters a cube section with several triple-spike jumps, although there are two big ones and two tiny ones in the middle, and a robot transition with three precise jumps followed by another cube section with three wide triple-spikes that have two tiny spikes in between. There are two texts in the part, one saying 'Megaspeed' and another saying 'Die Now!!!!!' at the end. Next is a tight corridor in the UFO game-mode that requires some tight jumps. After that, there is a straight-fly and a short cube section with a buffed double-spike featuring one tiny spike in the middle at half speed, and another auto part similar to Atheoz's part, with blue pads, but with yellow pads at the end. The level then turns to triple speed, and all of a sudden, a shadow of a two-headed dragon appears.
- 79-82% (Codly): Next is a normal-speed ship sequence with some endurance and a straight-fly, in addition to some gravity portals and a yellow orb at the third gravity portal, after which the player must touch the ceiling.
- 82-91% (Crispy Creepz): Afterwards, there is a short half-speed ship sequence with a tight area featuring many spikes of various sizes. This next section contains spikes that suddenly move for the player to avoid while being a wave and a UFO. Following this is a short wave segment with tight spaces and a UFO segment with fairly difficult, tight jumps and two orbs that try to fool the player into tapping and crashing. Afterwards, there is a double-speed dual-cube section with both symmetrical and asymmetrical formats; several tricks and a few timed jumps are included. Then, there is a short but tight mixed dual of ship and wave at half speed.
- 91-100% (AlexOnYT): The player now faces the two-headed dragon from before, which leads into a half-speed tight wave segment with many floating spikes. The beginning of this wave features the text 'Again IIIRyanIII'. Then, there is a very tight mini-ship at normal speed with the text 'U Need Rest' and some straight-flying. There is one final cube section with the text 'Coins route' and a toggle orb, which the player must hit to take the coin route with the buffed triple-spike with two smaller spikes in between. If not, the player is led to a double-spike with a smaller spike in the middle instead. It also features a heart and three texts saying 'Verified by TrusTa', 'A true legend' and 'GG'.
User coins
[edit | edit source]- Old version
- The three user coins are located at the final corridor of the final mini-ship sequence and are impossible to miss.
- New version
- The player must activate the toggle orb to access the coin route. Like the old version, the three user coins are hard to miss.
Gameplay
[edit | edit source]Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Upon the creation of the modern Demonlist on Pointercrate on 4 January 2017, The Flawless was placed at #26, above Elite Z Rebirth and below Uprise.
- The Flawless used to be significantly harder than Cataclysm.
- Due to a new nerf-date, The Flawless is approximately the same difficulty as Cataclysm, HyperSonic, and Gunslinga Corridor.
- An unrated sequel to The Flawless was named The Fearless and verified by Butterfish on 21 September 2021.
- The triple-spike at the end has a flipped but asymmetrical version on the bottom. It might be possible to just barely clear the upper triple-spike but hit the very edge of that spike, but it is likely impossible.
- The Flawless is commonly criticised for its deemed unfun gameplay.
- Due to a nerf-date, many people praised AlexOnYT and ButterFishYT, claiming they made The Flawless live up to its name.
- During TrusTa's original verification, at the start of 29%, the player can bypass the spike after the fourth click of Xevenfurious's ball part. It was later fixed during the level's nerf date, meaning the player cannot bypass it anymore.
- The text at the end of The Flawless says 'A true legend', meaning that the player completed one of the hardest levels in Geometry Dash; however, it is now outdated as The Flawless is not one of the hardest levels in the game anymore.
- The placement of Just DANCE on 20 March 2020 pushed The Flawless into the Legacy List of the Demonlist.
