ATOMIC CANNON is a 2.1/2.2 Extreme Demon level by LIEB, verified by Zeronium on 28 January 2022.[1] The level was inspired by a 1.9 Demon level called Intercept, created by Viprin, possessing its similar fast-paced gameplay with more emphasis on high CPS. It is the first instalment of the ATOMIC CANNON series and the prequel to ATOMIC CANNON Mk II. There are two more levels in the series, ATOMIC CANNON Mk III and the final level, ATOMIC CANNON PRIME, which has been mostly completed.

Description

[edit | edit source]
  • 0-11%: ATOMIC CANNON begins with a double-speed cube sequence involving numerous timed orb jumps passing through a gap of spikes.
  • 11-25%: It transitions into a difficult triple-speed mini-ball sequence containing numerous fake orbs and timed jumps. The screen fades to white, then to black near the end of this segment, as the speed shifts into a brief slow transition sequence. The '🇵' emoji briefly appears as a transition to the drop.
  • 25-58%: As the song drops, the level goes into a fast-paced, quadruple-speed cube sequence, reverting its size to normal as well. This sequence makes the level very difficult due to the combined demands of muscle memory and crucial orb timings. The design of the spikes changes to a range of flashing colours. It is worth mentioning that the dash orbs are more prevalent here.
  • 58-72%: Next is a triple-speed UFO sequence involving jumping through tight gaps, gravity changes, orb jumps, and avoiding fake orbs.
  • 72-82%: After that is a double-speed ship sequence, emphasizing gravity changes and straight-fly while the player's ship changes size. One straight-fly even has a yellow orb that the player must avoid; otherwise, the player crashes. Near the end of the sequence, the player must enter a brief cube sequence and hit a dash orb before the screen fades to black.
  • 82-89%: Next is a 1.9-themed half-speed ball sequence involving timed jumps. Despite its slow speed, its difficulty is still heightened, especially near the end of the level. Near the end of the sequence, the player enters a teleport portal to transition to the next sequence.
  • 89-100%: The final part consists of a normal-speed mini-ball sequence, with gameplay similar to the previous segment. After this sequence ends, the screen fades to black, and LIEB's name flashes in the background. The level ends with the text, 'You beat... ATOMIC CANNON. Congrats?'
