GLUNGUS ADVENTURES
GLUNGUS ADVENTURES is a 2.2 Extreme Demon by Bims, verified by Conix on 19 April 2026.[1] It is an unserious level based on the cat Glungus, featuring gimmicks such as randomized minigames, an evil pong battle, and multiple boss fights against Glungus.
History
[edit | edit source]Conix first showcased GLUNGUS ADVENTURES on 22 March 2026.[2] It was quite notable for this verification of a rather difficult Extreme Demon to be passed on to Conix, as he had never verified an Extreme Demon before. Furthermore, Conix's hardest beaten rated level at the time was Bloodlust, meaning that verifying GLUNGUS ADVENTURES would be a step up in difficulty for him if the level was truly Top 150. The creator of the level, Bims, also offered a $100 bounty to the first victor of the level, not including Zoink, M33PO, Denni, Trick, npesta, Timy, vippex, zeph, and Doggie.
Conix started streaming his verification on 23 March 2026, a day after he showcased it. He would achieve good progress on the level, achieving 41% after only three streams. He also collaborated with top players, such as Zoink, to let them try it out.
However, on his ninth stream on 4 April 2026, Conix failed at 95%, one of the last few clicks before the end cutscene.[3] He proceeded to achieve good runs such as 13-100% within the following days. Eventually, Conix verified GLUNGUS ADVENTURES on 19 April 2026 and made an easier version of the level posted to his account.
Description
[edit | edit source]- 0-14% (Chapter 1: Brick Yard): GLUNGUS ADVENTURES begins with a cube sequence, requiring a few precise clicks similar to that of Every End. There are hanging spikes in the background, and the blocks have a brick texture. At 3%, the level transitions into a ball sequence with sparking sawblades, sometimes needing the player to click as soon as the ball touches a platform.
- At 6%, the player becomes a robot, and the hanging spikes are now on the ground, with visible fog in the background. This part requires some precise timings. The part ends with a difficult robot staircase where, after making a few large jumps between the steps, the player must jump and land on every single step in sync with the music, without skipping any, before jumping into a hole labelled 'glung'.
- 14-36% (Chapter 2: Glungus): The player meets Glungus, a cat, who is angry that the player has entered his castle. The boss fight begins, with the player as a ship. Glungus fires lasers, cannonballs, and spikeballs at the player. Midway through, the player changes to a UFO. The boss fight ends with the player having to make precise clicks through a tight corridor, and Glungus says, 'how are yous SO PRO!?!?'
- At 27%, the player goes through a series of randomized minigames, which could consist of football, a cups and balls game, fishing, archery, Tetris, hockey, and a mania rhythm minigame, which is always the last minigame. At the end of the mania minigame, Glungus yells, 'HAXXOR!!'
- 36-45% (Chapter 3: Deep Cellar): This section begins with a tight cube corridor, similar to the drop of Every End, with the player holding a torch. The cube transitions into a ship, where the player must navigate tight corridors, then back to a cube, where they enter a door that closes behind them.
- 45-63% (Chapter 4: Glung Sanctuary): The section begins with a half-speed, easier version of Chapter 1, then transitions into a much harder UFO sequence with precise clicks. The player returns to a cube and must jump onto multiple houses and structures. The end of the section has the player running down a staircase while arrows are being shot in the background, which is collapsing. The player switches to a normal-sized cube, then to a ball, and finally to a ship, and the level transitions into Chapter 5.
- 63-100% (Chapter 5: Glungus Revenge): The section begins with a ship boss fight against Glungus, who is in a pirate ship. The player has to dodge cannonballs and tentacles. The player becomes a robot, then must jump on rocks before jumping into a cannon and firing at Glungus.
- The next part is a pong game against Glungus, taking place inside the castle. Glungus says, 'you wents TOO far' and 'your paths ends HERE BUDDY'. In the pong game, the player is a pixelated wave, controlling a paddle and hitting the ball at Glungus while dodging his attacks. The pong game eventually ends with Glungus losing. The final battle involves the player dodging Glungus's attacks as a wave in vertical gameplay.
- The boss fight ends at 87%, and the player must navigate a tight wave sequence, reminiscent of Acropolis. At the end of the wave sequence, the player defeats Glungus by flying straight through him.
