akunakun (Akunakunn in-game) is an Indonesian level creator and player. They are known for creating highly experimental, unconventional levels and memory-heavy levels, such as BOOBAWAMBA, limbo but uwu ig idk, and Based After Based, many of which have been placed on the Demonlist. Their current hardest completion is The Hell Origin by Stormfly.

Insane Demon levels

• Boom Shakalaka (Star-rated) - A memory level with plenty of fakes, alternative paths, cluttered decoration and a difficult straight-fly at the end.
• Poeyeng Aeng (Featured) - A beginner memory Insane Demon that only uses 2 colours and is inspired by super probably level. The last straight-fly is much harder than the rest of the level.
• spidin around (Featured) - A level that is almost completely spider-gameplay, other than the last 1% of the level, which is instead ship. It is filled with unique gameplay gimmicks and was made for the Icarus creator contest.

Extreme Demon levels

• Based After Based (Featured) - An Extreme Demon with no spikes, saws, slopes, waves, speed changes and only dual gameplay, verified by DiamondSplash as a fluke from 78%. It took around a year and a half to get rated.
• BOOBAWAMBA (Featured) - akunakun's most well-known level, as well as the current hardest memory Demon, verified by EastShark1. It has a randomised gimmick that involves tracking five specific objects that may or may not appear at specific points in the level and inputting them as a code at the end. BOOBAWAMBA was initially placed at #14 on the Demonlist, then rose to #9, and finally peaked at #3.
• Coolie Mazie Paloozi (Star-rated) - A colourful, object-dense memory level verified by Tride. It features 12 large, extremely confusing mazes. It is also one of the most enjoyed Extreme Demons.
• Jupiter My Favourite (Featured) - A blue and yellow memory level with many doodle-like designs and strange memory gameplay.
• Le Midd Mapperoonies (Featured) - A 3-minute-long memory level verified by TheyCallMeEvan, with many fakes and game-mode switches. It was heavily unbalanced until late 2024, when it rebalanced the more difficult second half.
• limbo but uwu ig idk (Featured) - One of akunakun's most infamous levels, verified by ViperVenom95; a bright rainbow level that abuses camera effects, triggers and shaders to create utterly incomprehensible memory gameplay, particularly in the second half that has an absurd dual and wave maze. Despite its name, it has no relation to LIMBO.
• Metalic Destruction (Star-rated) - An early 2.1 level verified by Dorami that got rated 4 years later.
• me when machine gang (Featured) - A very difficult 2-player level with some invisible game-mode switches, a boss fight against a 2-headed creature and a key maze. Its name combines the levels WOBBLING MACHINE and Bang Gang.
• MOTOR MOGOK (Featured) - A memory Demon with some learny duals and 2.2 effects, verified by Aberrent.
• Scrubbabingo force (Featured) - Superbuffed Hexagon Force remake verified by Popsi, featuring weird duals that are asymmetrical and desynced horizontally.
• Tunnel (Star-rated) - An extremely large megacollab consisting of 193 people, hosted by akunakun, where everyone built a part that was only three blocks long, verified by Flame.

Reception

akunakun is a relatively polarising creator and has gained infamy in the community for their highly unconventional levels. Many people praise their levels for their creativity and absurdity, but others criticise them for how complex and visually obscured they can be, saying akunakun should not be allowed to use the level editor.
