BER ZER KER is a 2.2 Insane level by Grax, published on 3 October 2024. It was created for the NCS Gauntlet Contest, where it placed first above Next Cab Soon. Additionally, it is the second level of the NCS I Gauntlet.
Description
[edit | edit source]BER ZER KER features fast-paced gameplay.
- A fast-paced cube sequence featuring teleportation effects from 0% to 11%.
- A half-speed sequence with spike platforms alongside an eye graphic spans from 11% to 25%. Lyrics from the song accompany it.
- A spider sequence, where the player navigates a wormhole background with floating platforms and spikes, spans from 25% to 32%.
- A cube transition follows, with some gameplay appearing before an array of yellow orbs that lead to the drop, spanning from 32% to 40%.
- A quadruple-speed ship sequence guided by sparks, where players must pass through three glowing yellow hoops along with an NCS Visualizer on the right from 40% to 54%.
- A UFO sequence involves dodging falling debris, where players only click orbs; failing triggers the message 'Only click orbs.' Spans from 54% to 60%.
- A short cutscene shows a shocked cube witnessing an explosion, transitioning to a cube sequence where the player horizontally changes direction throughout a skyscraper decoration from 60% to 69%.
- A high-speed cube sequence with platforms and sawblades, featuring a man in a hockey mask (resembling Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise) and followed by a chainsaw effect from 69% to 76%.
- A spider sequence, with a car drifting around from 76% to 87%
- A quadruple-speed ship sequence, in which the player navigates obstacles from the perspective of a car's front seat, from 87% to 91%
- The level concludes with a cutscene of the car speeding off a cliff as a skeleton, who is driving the car, adjusts its sunglasses and cackles.

- BER ZER KER was nominated for Best Intermediate Classic in The Geometry Dash Awards 2024; it went on to place fourth.
- BER ZER KER is the second Mythic-rated non-Demon level, after Rage Quit.
