Scarlet Surge
Scarlet Surge is a 1.9 Harder level by Insendium, published on 16 January 2015. It is the second level of the Chaos Gauntlet.
Description
[edit | edit source]Scarlet Surge begins with a half-speed ship sequence containing flashing blocks and a warning sign. It then goes into a normal-speed cube sequence with various orbs and pads, followed by a ball sequence with orbs, pads, gravity portals and flashing platforms. Next, the screen is mirrored, and the player enters a relatively easy double-speed UFO sequence where they have to avoid blocks, followed by a normal-speed wave sequence with some easy timings and switches back to the normal screen direction in the middle.
It then transitions into a cube sequence with some simple jumps, after which the screen is mirrored as the player enters a ship sequence with some sawblades, which they become mini in the middle. The level returns to normal mirroring and continues into a ball with flashing blocks. The ball becomes a dual in the middle, followed by a mirrored UFO sequence that becomes mini near the end. Then, the player enters a dual-ship sequence, a dual-cube sequence, a ship sequence with many up-and-down flying and an auto-cube sequence with texts 'thanks !' and 'Insendium'.
