SARY NEVER CLEAR (KugelBlitZ)
SARY NEVER CLEAR is a 1.6/2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level hosted by KugelBlitZ, verified by Spamdrew128 on 23 December 2020.[1] It is a remake of an impossible level with the same name made by Optic Sunflow in Update 1.6, with heavily altered gameplay.
SARY NEVER CLEAR has a remake/sequel called SARYYX NEVER CLEAR.
Description
[edit | edit source]- 0-28%: SARY NEVER CLEAR begins with a triple-spike and two large gears to jump over, both requiring extremely precise timing. The player quickly turns mini and must immediately jump over a spike mound before hitting two blue orbs very quickly. The third blue orb is fake. After the small spam, the player jumps up to go into a ship section with a short but very tight corridor. There is a cube portal, and the player turns normal-sized again before navigating another tight corridor, this time with yellow orbs to avoid hitting. Directly after this section, the player turns into a cube and enters a passage with pink and yellow orbs. To avoid crashing, the player can only hit the pink orbs. After the last pink orb, the player is thrown into a ball maze where they must hit almost all the blue orbs in heavy spam before dropping down onto a platform. This platform is memory-based: the player must switch the gravity to go up to a hidden path above the corridor, where they must memorise the positions of a few spikes. It leads them directly to yet another blue orb spam in between spikes, to land on a lower platform. On this platform, there are spikes with spaces in between, and the player must consistently land in between the spikes to survive. The gameplay is mirrored, and the player must hit more orbs as a ball in an environment with limited visibility. It includes going between platforms with hidden spikes and utilising orbs to avoid them. After this, the gameplay is unmirrored, and the player becomes an upside-down ship, with trick passages and fake structures. Again, good memory is required to pass this section.
- 28-55%: Cube gameplay resumes with a small maze section full of blue pads and gravity portals with orbs inside. It leads to a UFO section with gravity switches where the player must precisely click and spam to pass incredibly tight corridors. After the UFO, cube gameplay ensues, and the player is thrown into a section with only blue orbs; they must hit all of them in a precise manner to pass the section. The player is thrown upwards and must hit a hidden pink orb to transition to the next cube section. This cube section contains trick passages and invisible breakaway blocks, and the player must jump between these platforms to avoid gears. The cube enters a long maze with floating structures and blue, pink, and yellow orbs. Memorisation is very important in this section to avoid hitting any real structures or falling to either side of the maze. After the maze, there are two jumps with more breakable blocks before another blue orb spam section, this time with a yellow orb and a black orb at the end. There is an invisible platform that leads to a section of spam with yellow orbs, to avoid a row of spikes one space below. After this spam, there is another maze with many different-colored orbs. This section has limited visibility and is very memory-based. During this maze, the player must also collect a hidden key near the top.
- 55-100%: Directly after the maze, three quadruple-spikes require precise timings to clear. Directly after the third spike, there is another blue orb spam section, with more precise clicks and timings to clear, like the previous ones. It leads to an incredibly long and difficult straight-fly segment where the ship is gravity-flipped, and the corridor is very tight. In addition to the exceptionally tight corridor, there are bigger spikes and gears to avoid within the main spikes on either side. The structures shift from dark to light throughout. After the long straight-fly, there are more triple-spikes to avoid before the player must utilise a blue orb and a platform to get over a large strand of spikes. This gameplay continues for a bit until the player must hit a strand of yellow and pink orbs in a precise manner to reach a lower platform. At this point, the player is bounced up and must precisely hit another strand of blue orbs to avoid structures of spikes on either side of each orb. Included in this section are also some red orbs to avoid, in addition to a larger structure. This section transitions directly into a ball segment where the player must navigate between platforms with spikes. These platforms are at different heights and have tight spaces for the ball. After this, the player must avoid the cube portal going down and hit a multitude of tiny platforms, where they must spam to pass. Cube gameplay ensues, and there are more triple-spikes on the ceiling, with precise timings that are also very difficult to see. Clearing the triple-spikes will immediately transition the player to mini-ship gameplay, where they must fly very straight to avoid all the spikes on each different platform. At the end of this long straight-fly segment, there is a large gear that the player must avoid before clearing the segment. An end screen appears with the creator's names, as well as text that says 'Wow you clear it'. The level ends with a quadruple-spike that the player must time very precisely to pass. If the player dies at this quadruple-spike, a text will pop up saying 'Hi SaRy' and 'Subscribe to Jollow'.

[edit | edit source]Hacking incident
[edit | edit source]xNorth hacked KugelBlitZ's account on 18 December 2021 and turned SARY NEVER CLEAR into a free Demon, stating through text that this was a demonstration of support for the '#levelution movement'. The level remained in its free state for several hours before being reverted. xNorth had also hacked several other players' accounts on that same day, including Ggb0y, making Cataclysm a free Demon for a short period as well.
When SARY NEVER CLEAR was made free, several posts emerged on the internet about the incident, including this Reddit post.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- SARY NEVER CLEAR was rated on 26 December 2020 and placed at #10 on the Demonlist on 14 January 2021, above Cognition and below Calculator Core.
- This addition pushed Cognition out of the Top 10, Digital Descent out of the Top 50, Quantum Processing into the Extended List, and Hateful Reflection into the Legacy List.
- The original version of SARY NEVER CLEAR, back in Update 1.6, was not only near-impossible but contained many more mirror portals, tight spaces, and much more spamming than the current rated version.
- Optic Sunflow created the original SARY NEVER CLEAR as a challenge level for saRy, along with some of his other near-impossible levels.
- Many people consider the remake 'terrible', and some are calling for it to be unrated.
- The level was created in 2017 (and hack-uploaded onto KugelBlitZ's account) but was not verified until 2020.
- Despite the level being a remake of another level, SARY NEVER CLEAR itself has a remake/sequel called SARYYX NEVER CLEAR. It is a heavily SARY NEVER CLEAR and Hard Machine-inspired level, and was verified by skzyl on 30 October 2023.[4]
- There is a text made out of spikes saying '97' on top of Isaki's part. Its purpose or meaning is unknown.
- The movement of Axiom Asterism from the Legacy List to #144 on 19 January 2026 pushed SARY NEVER CLEAR into the Legacy List after over five years.
