Dry Out is the fourth level of Geometry Dash and Geometry Dash Lite and the second level with a Normal difficulty.

Description
Description
Dry Out introduces gravity portals. This is a new challenge that appears in every level afterwards, first met in the second third of the first cube sequence. Throughout the level, there are vertical obstructions which prevent unnecessary jumping, requiring more strict movement along with a wider variety of jumping patterns.
Dry Out introduces the gravity portal with an antigravity cube segment. Vertical obstructions occur more often, requiring stricter movement that restrains against unnecessary jumping.

The level starts with a cube sequence more difficult than in previous levels, partly because it contains walls meant to prevent extra or late jumps. It requires more precise tapping than before. Then, the antigravity sequence met a little bit into the level challenges new players mostly because the direction of jumping is reversed. However, this gets the player used to antigravity, a skill which they will definitely need for later levels.
An antigravity cube segment takes place from 34% to 50% and a single ship sequence from 67% to 83%.

The level goes back to a normal gravity cube sequence which is similar to the first, requiring precise jumping. Then, there is a short ship sequence featuring scattered blocks which is of similar difficulty to the one seen in Polargeist. Unlike Polargeist, however, in the second section, it has spikes on the floor and roof, so that it requires slightly more skill.

However the second half is more predictable, as they alternate between up and down.
*The first secret coin is located at 29% and collected as the cube. After gameplay moves away from the ground and after descending down platforms with three overhead spikes, jump to the next platform and slide down onto the coin. *The second secret coin is located at 62% and collected as the cube. After the antigravity segment and after hitting the second jump ring, jump up two platforms and onto a suspended spiked platform, falling to collect the coin and jumping again to clear an oncoming spike.
*The third secret coin is located at 80% and collected as the ship. During the second section of the ship sequence involving the alternating spiked obstacles, pass the first three obstacles and fly above the fourth obstacle near the ceiling to collect the coin.

*In the antigravity sequence, there is a spike with no 'roof' on it.
Secret Coins
*The first secret coin is located right at 30% and before the gravity sequence. When you reach the series of half blocks (small rectangular blocks) leading up to the antigravity sequence, fall from the first half block and hold immediately to jump through a small series of half blocks on the ground which were previously concealed from view. The coin is located on the last half block. After getting it, a yellow jump pad will boost you back up onto the normal path.
*The second secret coin is located at 62% and is a bit harder. After completing the second jump pad after the gravity portals, jump up twice to get yourself onto the suspended spike. Immediately jump again to avoid crashing into a wall.
*The third secret coin is located in the second half of the ship sequence and in 80%, the one with large spiked blocks which alternate from the top to the bottom of the screen. When you reach the fourth large block, which will be near the top of the screen, carefully fly over it to obtain the coin, while staying under the ceiling spikes.
Trivia
Trivia
*While formally introducing the gravity portal, Dry Out is not the first level it appears in, instead first occurring in Back on Track and second in Polargeist as part of collecting a secret coin. However, in these two levels the portals are blue; the first yellow gravity portal is in Dry Out.
*Prior to Update 1.9, Dry Out possessed a Harder difficulty.
*Dry Out has the latest form change (at 67%)
*Dry Out contains five pads and two rings, the least of any main level that includes either.
**Before Update 1.6, this was the first level to feature the anti-gravity portal.
*Dry Out takes 84 seconds to complete and requires a minimum of 106 jumps.
*This level was originally rated "Harder" until Update 1.9.
*Completing the level takes 1:24.
*Dry Out, Can't Let Go, Time Machine, Theory of Everything, Electroman Adventures and Blast Processing are the only levels to contain speech in their music.

Dry Out is the fourth level of Geometry Dash and Geometry Dash Lite and the second level with a Normal difficulty.

Description

[edit | edit source]

Dry Out introduces the gravity portal with an antigravity cube segment. Vertical obstructions occur more often, requiring stricter movement that restrains against unnecessary jumping.

An antigravity cube segment takes place from 34% to 50% and a single ship sequence from 67% to 83%.

Secret coins

[edit | edit source]
 • The first secret coin is located at 29% and collected as the cube. After gameplay moves away from the ground and after descending down platforms with three overhead spikes, jump to the next platform and slide down onto the coin. Immediately continue to jump across line platforms until arriving at a jump pad to return to the main route.
 • The second secret coin is located at 62% and collected as the cube. After the antigravity segment and after hitting the second jump ring, jump up two platforms and onto a suspended spiked platform, falling to collect the coin and jumping again to clear an oncoming spike.
 • The third secret coin is located at 80% and collected as the ship. During the second section of the ship sequence involving the alternating spiked obstacles, pass the first three obstacles and fly above the fourth obstacle near the ceiling to collect the coin.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
 • Prior to Update 1.9, Dry Out possessed a Harder difficulty.
 • Dry Out contains five pads and two rings, the least of any main level that includes either.
 • Dry Out takes 84 seconds to complete and requires a minimum of 106 jumps.
