GRIEF
Template:Infobox Level New GRIEF is an upcoming 2.1/2.2 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration hosted by Icedcave and set to be verified by Doggie. It is an extended, possible remake of Icedcave's 1.9 impossible level Slaughterhouse and the prequel to his 2.1 extreme demon with the same name, Slaughterhouse. The level features an art-based hell theme, revised gameplay based on the original, and an extension from the original over a minute long. It is set to be the hardest level in the game, competing against many other upcoming levels.
Doggie currently has a record of 17%, achieved on May 9, 2024.

In late 2015, Icedcave published his level Slaughterhouse, a hell-themed impossible level consisting of simple decoration and extensive impossible spam. The level was showcased on YouTube by ToshDeluxe on October 3, 2015, becoming one of his most popular videos.
From 2018 to 2021, Icedcave hosted an unrelated extreme demon level also titled Slaughterhouse out of frustration of the old version's popularity. The level was supposedly verified by spaceuk, but following hacking allegations against him, Doggie was crowned verifier after he claimed first victor of the level.
In early 2022, Icedcave announced "GRIEF," a prequel to "Slaughterhouse," remaking the 2015 version with a minute-long extension at the end. Doggie was chosen as the verifier due to his close association with Slaughterhouse. The layout was finished in April 2022, with a showcase video posted on April 15.[1] Decoration took 16 months, with periodic showcases from decorators. The full decorated level was showcased on August 11, 2022.[2] Doggie planned verification once Update 2.2 released, but later postponed it to 2024, starting streaming on May 2, 2024.
Doggie achieved his current best run of 65-83% on May 7, 2024 and a record of 17% on May 9, 2024. In his initial streams, he used the Click Between Frames mod (CBF), a recently released Geode mod to remove limitations in the game's input polling rate, citing that the level would be nearly impossible to verify in its present state with the 240hz maximum tick rate implemented in Update 2.2; along with Diamond[3] and LordVadercraft,[4] he uploaded a video on May 2024 urging RobTop to implement the mod's mechanics into the vanilla game.[5]
Gameplay
Template:Stub/Section Template:Outdated/Section The following gameplay represents Old Slaughterhouse.
The level starts out in the half-speed mini-wave game mode. Almost instantly, the player must traverse through four considerably tight spike openings before becoming big-sized. Then, the player must perform four more difficult timings before traversing through a weirdly shaped Clubstep-monster. Afterward, the player becomes mini-sized again, and now they must perform a few more timings. The player then proceeds to get a short break from the wave traversing by precisely straight-flying through a nearly frame-perfect Clubstep-monster. After the precise straight fly, the player enters a wave portal, and they must proceed to perform three clicks before having to perform a triple-speed mini-wave impossible spam for around two seconds. At the end of the spam, the player decelerates back down to half-speed, but this quickly changes when the player now has perform another highly impossible spam at normal speed. After around seven seconds, the spam finally finishes, but before long, the player becomes big-sized, and now they must perform another triple-speed impossible spam. Afterward, the player gets a brief break from all the impossible gameplay with a single cube jump. Then, the player gets launched into a mini-wave portal, and now they must perform a decently long section with many near-impossible timings and speed-portals. After around 22 seconds, the player gets another cube-based break. The player first will be projected upwards, and once they hit the ground, they must jump into a pink orb that leads into a blue-yellow orb double click. Next, the player will have to precisely time a pink orb that leads the player into a blue orb, a yellow orb, and a pink orb. Then, the player proceeds to enter a dual-portal, and now they need to wait for around a second before having the words "DIE" appear in front of them.
Then, the player is upwardly launched into the drop. Immediately, the speed accelerates up to triple-speed, and the player enters a mini-wave portal. The player must instantly perform excessively tight spam, and it slowly moves upwards every half second. After moving downward a single time, the player becomes a cube, and now they must execute an excessively swift cube-based orb spam for around six seconds. Midway through the spam, the player changes size but immediately switches back. For around a second, the speed decelerates down to half-speed and the player gets a break for around a second. However, the player then has to pull off quite possibly the tightest spam-based segment in the level. After spamming for around three seconds, the player must transition into a horribly tight ship segment with nearly-frame perfect timings on every block. This does not last very long, as the player is back to spamming after around three seconds of straight-flying. Finally, after six seconds of pure spam, the mini-wave must precisely time a few clicks to meet in the middle of the screen.
Now, the player is in the dual cube game mode. The following section is entirely a 2-player based timing segment, with the player needing to memorize whether every spike is real or fake on both sides. There are occasional changes to some spikes, such as normal-speed spikes, and the player also gets a very brief automatic break from performing jumps towards the beginning of the full section. Finally, after the player performs every single jump, a robotic figure with the word "IcEDCave" appears before transitioning to second part.
