Doggie
Doggie (also known as DoggieDasher and RippyDoggy) is an American player widely regarded as one of the best in the game. He rose to prominence in December 2019 after becoming the video editor for npesta, playing a pivotal role in revolutionising Geometry Dash content by introducing stream highlight-style editing. Building on this momentum, Doggie moved towards top-level play by completing Kenos in 2020, jumping from Killbot and becoming its fifth victor.
Over the following years, Doggie beat several of the most difficult levels, including Zodiac, Tartarus, and The Golden. After the exposal of spaceuk, he became the de facto verifier of Slaughterhouse, one of the game's most iconic top-level Demons. He went on to beat Acheron, one of his hardest completions, and also conquered high-end challenge levels like VSC, becoming its seventh victor.
Doggie is well known for verifying the Top 1 level GRIEF, an official prequel to Slaughterhouse, on 5 October 2026 after 436,879 attempts, 396 live streams, and almost 2.5 years.[1]
Doggie belongs to a group of skilled Geometry Dash players, dubbed TCD after Trick, Conix, and Denni. The group also includes Cursed and Diamond.
History
[edit | edit source]Early YouTube beginnings
[edit | edit source]Doggie originally launched his main YouTube channel, 'ripped dog' (now renamed 'RippyDoggy'), on 26 December 2011 at just five years old.[2] He created the channel after receiving a small camera as a Christmas gift. With help from his father, who regularly uploaded the footage by transferring videos from the camera's memory card, Doggie began posting recordings he had made for pure enjoyment. Throughout 2012, this became routine, uploading spontaneous, playful videos without intending to become a YouTuber. All these early uploads are now private.
By 2013, Doggie had begun managing the channel independently, focusing primarily on Minecraft content. One of his earliest videos, 'Minecraft ENDER DRAGON seed', was uploaded on 24 October and featured the seed 'ENDER DRAGON'.[3] It remains his oldest public video and was the first to attract many views. He continued producing Minecraft videos throughout the rest of 2013 and into most of 2014.
Introduction to Geometry Dash
[edit | edit source]Doggie first discovered Geometry Dash on 30 November 2014 after watching his cousin play. Intrigued, he convinced his mother to purchase it once he returned home. In the following months, he began playing regularly, progressing through the RobTop levels and experimenting with the level editor. On 14 January 2015, he uploaded his first Geometry Dash video, titled 'How to get all coin on back on track (Geometry Dash ep1)'.[4] His earliest level, Enchanted World, was unfortunately deleted for unknown reasons, though an auto version remains public. Around this time, he also collaborated with his brother to create two levels: Capture the flash[5] and Grab Bag.
As his interest deepened, Doggie launched a second channel dedicated entirely to Geometry Dash, named 'geometry dash 1rippeddog', on 7 March.[6] He began immersing himself in the game's growing online community and discovered a Google+ group called 'Geometry Dash Update 2.0 hype', which introduced him to the buzz surrounding the upcoming update. This community involvement further amplified his enthusiasm for the game.
On 17 March, Doggie completed his first Demon level, Theory of Everything 2, followed by Clubstep, effectively clearing the main RobTop Demon levels available at the time.
Wanting to challenge himself further, Doggie began attempting custom Demon levels. On 21 June, he beat his first custom Demon, Problematic, in 947 attempts.[7] That summer, he set his sights on a more difficult goal: Theory of FirePower. After 2,664 attempts and his worst fail of 91%, he completed the level on 5 August, marking it his new hardest Demon at the time.[8] During this same period, he also began work on his first fully polished level, a pink Nine Circles level using 'Take Me Away' by NIGHTkilla. He uploaded a preview of this level to his Geometry Dash channel on 17 July.[9] While he made significant progress, his work on the level slowed following the release of Update 2.0.
Creative growth and early completions
[edit | edit source]On 3 September 2015, Doggie created a brand new Geometry Dash channel, naming it 'DoggieDasher' as a play on his original channel's name, 'ripped dog', combined with the game's title. His first videos were previews of his level, Take Me Away, which included 2.0 features with over half of the level finished.[10][11] He mass-uploaded a handful of Demon completions on the same day, including DarnocDynamix[12] and INSERT COIN.[13] He later stopped uploading Geometry Dash content to the 'ripped dog' channel and used it to make content on various games, most of which are now private.
In 2016, Doggie began focusing primarily on producing skits with his brother for the 'ripped dog' channel. Many of these are now private, but a few public ones include 'Scavenger Moggy',[14] 'DEAD SANTA CLAUS PRANK! (GONE WRONG) (IN THE HOOD)',[15] and 'THE NEW YEARS RESOLUTION!'[16] Throughout much of that year, they uploaded roughly twice a week.
On 11 June, Doggie finally completed and released his level, Take Me Away.
When Update 2.1 was released, Doggie gravitated back to Geometry Dash and moved away from making skits. He started uploading Demon completions in a style similar to EricVanWilderman's, but Doggie aimed for something more challenging than Theory of FirePower. In July 2017, he began attempting 8o, his first Insane Demon, which became his longest-running challenge at the time. After failing at 92%, he finally beat the level on 19 August in 4,248 attempts.[17] After completing it, Doggie released his second major level, OzZe, a black-and-white decorated version of an unfinished layout by ZenthicAlpha that Doggie extended, using the song '1077' by Boom Kitty.
Hiatus, return, and first Extreme Demons
[edit | edit source]By late 2017, Doggie had shifted away from Geometry Dash due to the release of Fortnite, focusing heavily on it instead. During this period, his main channel uploads consisted solely of Fortnite content, and the experience he gained editing those videos helped shape his current production style.
Doggie briefly returned to Geometry Dash in mid-2018 after acquiring a 144Hz monitor, attempting his first Extreme Demon, Cataclysm, but stopped playing after a 71% fail.[18] In August, he returned to pursue a video idea he had long envisioned: completing every level in Ultimate Demon Mix, including Cataclysm. This concept became the first instalment in his ongoing 'Level Series', in which he completes every level within a given series, such as the RGB or Greek Letter series.
On 27 August, Doggie beat Cataclysm in 5,663 attempts, marking his first-ever Extreme Demon and List Demon.[19] He later returned in January 2019 after obtaining a 240Hz monitor and completed his second Extreme Demon, Quest For Perfection, in just 315 attempts on 14 January.[20] The level was classified as an Extreme Demon at the time.
Doggie returned in July and beat his third Extreme Demon, HyperSonic, in 5,124 attempts.[21] Although it would technically be his new hardest Demon, he did not initially view it that way. Nonetheless, this accomplishment reignited his passion for Geometry Dash, similar to his excitement during early Update 2.1, particularly as his interest in Fortnite began to decline with the release of Season X and Chapter 2.
In August, Doggie began working on his new hardest Demon, Killbot, ranked #37 on the Demonlist at the time. Despite being out for over two years, a difficult memory-based Extreme Demon with only nine victors was a daunting choice. However, the challenge reminded him how he once viewed Theory of FirePower, daunting but achievable, and motivated him to persevere. After 15,347 attempts, 11 final UFO deaths, and two heartbreaking 95% fails, Doggie finally conquered Killbot on 17 September.[22] This milestone marked a significant turning point in his skill level, as he began consistently beating Extreme Demons and gained newfound confidence.
Just two days earlier, on 15 September, Doggie had released his third major level, Dark, a red-and-grey creation that showcased his improved level design and decoration skills, solidifying his growth in the editor.[23]
Keeping up the momentum, Doggie beat ICE Carbon Diablo X on 2 October in roughly 2,000 attempts (mostly from older runs).[24] Less than a week later, on 8 October, he completed Auditory Breaker in just 2,828 attempts, despite it being ranked higher than Killbot at the time (though it would later fall below it).[25] He rounded out this impressive streak by beating Zettabyte on 3 November in just 1,354 attempts.[26]
On 27 October, Doggie released his fourth major level, The Gins, inspired by a short film of the same name created by his brother and friends.[27] The level follows the bizarre narrative of a psychotic, cannibalistic serial killer who chases the player throughout. Although the original film was intentionally absurd, that same unserious tone penetrated the level's design and storytelling. Despite its comedic roots, The Gins would become Doggie's first-rated level just one year later.
Kenos and community breakthrough
[edit | edit source]By this time, Doggie's interest in Fortnite as a game and content had faded entirely. With no desire to continue in that direction, he shifted his focus to Geometry Dash, hoping to establish himself more seriously within the community. Compared to other games, he saw Geometry Dash as more accessible and easier to break into creatively, motivating him to pursue content creation in the game with renewed dedication.
Doggie's first video following his renewed focus on Geometry Dash was NATIONAL NPESTA DAY, uploaded on 15 December 2019, the day after npesta verified Kenos.[28] In this video, Doggie did a practice run of Kenos while humorously imitating npesta's style, down to the camera angle, a white shirt, and video game OSTs playing instead of the in-game song. Ironically, he stated, 'I could never beat this level', despite beginning real progress on Kenos just days later. He also pitched the idea of npesta creating an edited highlight compilation of all his Kenos streams, which eventually became 'Kenos Rewind' and was released three months later.[29]
On 19 December, npesta posted on YouTube looking for a stream editor.[30] Doggie responded by sending him an edited version of his Sakupen Hell stream via Discord, securing his place as npesta's official video editor.[31] Just before this, on 16 December, Doggie had officially begun his grind on Kenos, uploading a video titled 'It begins… (Kenos 26%)'.[32]
Doggie quickly progressed, reaching 38% on 20 December.[33] He put content creation on hold until he finished the level. As npesta's editor, Doggie was already stepping into the spotlight in the Geometry Dash community. At the end of 2019, he briefly shifted focus to beat Sakupen Hell, Bloodbath and Volume.[34][35][36]
By late January 2020, Doggie had reached 42% on Kenos but became stuck, dying at 43% more than seven times. After breaking past this hurdle with a 51% run on 24 February,[37] his consistency rapidly improved, reaching 53%, 54% and 57% over the next three days. On 1 March, he completed a 52-100% run before taking a short break.[38]
Returning at the end of March, Doggie got a 64% run on 30 March before pausing again to beat Prismatic Haze.[39][40] In May, Doggie resumed the Kenos grind with a new strategy: dedicating three consecutive days to practise specific starting positions, 41% on day one, 27% on day two and 17% on day three. This deliberate run-based approach laid the foundation for what he would later call the 'Uncle Sam Strat', famously used in his Silent clubstep grind. On 10 May, using this strategy, Doggie completed a 41-100% run after four hours of practice.[41] On 11 May, he reached 78% from 27%, and on 13 May, 68% from 17%. That same day, he returned to doing runs from 0% and reached 68%, his first attempt at the notorious 70% wave.
From that point, Doggie's consistency skyrocketed. On 15 May, he completed a 17-100% run, covering nearly the entire level's difficulty.[42] On 16 May, he reached the 70% wave twice, dying at 70% and 71%, and even secured another 17-100% run. On 17 May, he achieved 87%, his first attempt making it to the final section.[43] Within the next week, he made consistent progress past 70% and 80%. On 24 May, he reached 89%, then 96%,[44] and got his third 17-100% run. Finally, on 26 May, Doggie beat Kenos after two brutal 97% fails and 67,278 attempts.[45] This completion marked a massive leap from Killbot (#52 at the time) to Kenos (#3) and symbolised the beginning of a new chapter in his career. For the rest of 2020, Doggie would continue building his reputation and content as one of the community's rising elite.
Extreme Demon Alphabet and Top 1 goals
[edit | edit source]Immediately after beating Kenos, Doggie began his 'Extreme Demon Alphabet' challenge, aiming to beat an Extreme Demon for every letter of the alphabet. He began with Acu,[46] Blade of Justice,[47] Carnage Mode,[48] Deception Dive[49] and Epsilon.[50] To showcase the skill boost Kenos had given him, he then started Cognition, a Top 10 level. After just six days and a fluke from 73%, he beat it in 20,687 attempts.[51] He then returned to the Extreme Demon Alphabet, completing Fusion Z,[52] Glide,[53] Hateful Reflection[54] and Ithacropolis[55] for letters F through I.
When Cold Sweat was released, Doggie was captivated and attempted to become the first victor. Although he missed the first completion, taken by swiborg, he beat the level in just eight days and 20,674 attempts, despite a 98% fail.[56] As another Top 10, even harder than Cognition, it reaffirmed his growing skill level.
After completing Just DANCE for the letter J,[57] Doggie's momentum on the Extreme Demon Alphabet began to slow. Unmotivated by some of his original choices, he dropped Low Death, Macabre, and Plasma Pulse Finale, replacing them with Lucid Chaos, MadMansion, and Paroxysm, respectively. For the letter K, Doggie counted his earlier completion of Killbot, as he had already beaten the only two Extreme Demons starting with K at the time, Kenos and Killbot, since Keres had not yet been released.[22]
Doggie continued beating Extreme Demons through the rest of 2020, culminating in two significant accomplishments at the end of the year. On 20 December, he completed Bloodlust,[58] and just three days later, on 23 December, he secured his first rated verification with Timor.[59]
On 15 December, Doggie uploaded 'NATIONAL NPESTA DAY 2', a sequel to his original parody video.[60] In it, he rewatched the first 'National Npesta Day' and humorously pointed out that nearly everything he said in that video had since been contradicted by his actions. He also compiled a list of every Extreme Demon npesta had completed between 15 December 2019 and 2020, then randomly selected one to attempt himself. The randomly generated level was Altered Ascent, on which Doggie achieved a 64-96% run during the video.
On 19 December 2020, Doggie was nominated for 'Best YouTuber' in the Geometry Dash 2020 Awards,[61] and his level The Gins was rated, ticking off all his annual goals and marking a meaningful milestone in his progress over the year.
On 18 January 2021, Doggie beat Crimson Planet, which was his second-hardest Demon at the time.[62]
Doggie resumed his Extreme Demon Alphabet challenge by completing Lucid Chaos,[63] MadMansion[64] and Necromancer[65] for the letters L through N. For the letter O, he began work on Omicron but paused while waiting for a balance update. During this break, he challenged himself with two new hardest completions: the #2-ranked The Golden and the #1-ranked Tartarus.
Having already made progress on The Golden, including reaching 54% and a 36-100% run, Doggie finished it in just two weeks.[66] He then moved directly to Tartarus, which he beat in under a month after 52,550 attempts and a 97% fail.[67] This accomplishment marked his first Top 1 completion.
On 5 May, Doggie verified his second-rated level, The Reaper.[68] After Omicron was updated, he returned to the Extreme Demon Alphabet. He continued his progress by beating Omicron,[69] Paroxysm[70] and Quantum Processing[71] for the letters O through Q. On 19 July, Doggie released Gang, a level themed around the Geometry Dash group 'The Gang'.[72]
Slaughterhouse and peak competitions
[edit | edit source]On 22 July, Doggie began verifying Slaughterhouse after expressing interest to icedcave on Twitter. Initially, he nerfed the level to a Top 5 difficulty version and reached 51%,[73] but he temporarily dropped the project due to drama surrounding icedcave. During this break, Doggie refocused on completing the final stretch of the Extreme Demon Alphabet while waiting for the situation to settle.
He then beat Ragnarok,[74] Sunset Sandstorm,[75] Titan Complex,[76] Unearthed,[77] Visible Ray,[78] Wasureta[79] and xo[80] for the letters R through X. Since he had already completed Yatagarasu (the letter Y) in 2020,[81] only one level remained to finish the challenge: Zodiac for Z.
Over the next two months, as Doggie worked on Zodiac, the drama surrounding Slaughterhouse had subsided. icedcave pushed forward with verification and organised a closed race among top players, including Doggie, Trick, Cursed, and spaceuk, to verify a version of the level. Within two weeks, spaceuk successfully verified a Top 1 version of Slaughterhouse while Doggie was still progressing on Zodiac.
Doggie completed the Extreme Demon Alphabet on 28 October after completing Zodiac.[82] Shortly after, on 7 November, he began working on the Top 1 version of Slaughterhouse. Due to its substantial difficulty, a considerable leap from Tartarus, Doggie found the level far more demanding, ultimately breaking his personal attempt record. After 79,170 attempts and two heartbreaking fails at 90%, he finally became the first victor of Slaughterhouse on 19 December.[83] This milestone solidified his reputation as one of the game's top players.
On 15 December, Doggie concluded the 'National Npesta Day' tradition with its third and final edition, completing npesta's verification level WOW in just two runs.[84]
In 2022, Doggie focused on being recognised as one of the best Geometry Dash players by completing top-ranked Demons and producing edited videos to accompany them. After completing Slaughterhouse, he moved directly to Firework, then ranked #2. However, with the release of Sakupen Circles at the end of 2021 and its #1 ranking, he shifted his attention to that level. He completed Sakupen Circles on 29 March 2022 after 64,131 attempts, and its placement was later moved below Slaughterhouse.[85]
On 15 April, icedcave uploaded a full layout showcase for GRIEF, a prequel to Slaughterhouse, with Doggie set as the verifier, a role he had been in talks for since his completion of Slaughterhouse.[86]
Following this, Doggie beat Renevant,[87] verified Aerial Gleam,[88][89] and completed Calculator Core,[90] all of which were Top 20 Demons at the time. He then attempted the new #1 Demon Abyss of Darkness, spending about a month on it and reaching 71% before dropping it due to a lack of enjoyment. For a change of pace, he tried Verdant Landscape, which was praised for its gameplay but, ironically, became one of his worst experiences, reaching 88% before ultimately dropping the level as well.
Later in the year, Doggie entered the verification race for Acheron, working on his own version for about a week before Zoink verified a Top 1 version,[91] which Doggie then began playing. He expected it to be easier than Slaughterhouse but found it much harder. After reaching 91% on 5 October,[92] he spent the next month grinding the level with little improvement, while spaceuk beat it with apparent ease and secured the first completion. The contrast in progress was frustrating, and by the end of October, Doggie still had not completed the level, though he reached 97% on the final day of the month.[93] Finally, on 1 November 2022, Doggie beat Acheron after 121,749 attempts, becoming its second victor.[94] The grind spanned nearly three months and 52 streams, with the final month spent essentially battling inconsistency.
Wanting to improve his consistency, Doggie began completing Main List Demons more quickly. In quick succession, he beat Frozen Cave,[95] Spectrum Cyclone,[96] Ouroboros,[97] Arctic Lights,[98] Deimos by EndLevel,[99] SUPERHATEMEWORLD,[100] qoUEO[101] and arcturus.[102] He also began a new tradition, 'Doggie December', in which he would upload twice weekly throughout the month. The 2022 edition featured a hidden completion teased through subtle hints in the videos. That year's secret was arcturus, which he completed for EricVanWilderman's '12 Demons of Christmas' series. At the time, arcturus was ranked in the Top 5.
As he neared 100 Extreme Demons completed, Doggie planned something significant for the milestone. He selected Silent clubstep as his 100th and began grinding it on 1 December 2022. It proved to be another difficult journey, taking three months, 61 streams, and 120,190 attempts before he finally beat it on 6 March 2023.[103]
Immediately afterwards, Doggie began verifying Deimos by ItsHybrid. However, progress was slow, and he took a break to complete LIMBO for Maymory, becoming the first victor to obtain the pink key.[104] On 25 April 2023, spaceuk was exposed for cheating on many of his completions. As a result, Doggie was officially recognised as Slaughterhouse's true verifier and the first legitimate victor of Acheron.
On 1 May, Doggie completed VSC, making him the second player ever to have completed both the #1 Demon and the #1 challenge level.[105] On 10 June, he reached 100,000 YouTube subscribers and celebrated with a compilation of highlights from his videos over the years.[106]
He verified Deimos by ItsHybrid on 4 August after 43,813 attempts.[107] Just a few days later, on 9 August, he also verified Exosphere, a mega-collaboration level he had been working on for three years.[108] On 13 August, RobTop uploaded the Geometry Dash 10-Year Anniversary video, officially affirming that Update 2.2 would release in October, eventually delayed.[109] This motivated Doggie to tie up loose ends before the update, namely finishing Verdant Landscape, Abyss of Darkness and releasing The Gins II. He completed Verdant Landscape on 18 September and Abyss of Darkness on 30 October.[110][111]
On 15 October, Doggie published The Gins II, a sequel to his earlier rated level, The Gins.[112] With all unfinished business completed, he launched 'Doggie December' 2023. The theme for the month was 'What's Inside?', a slogan referencing an ice cube that cracked more with each video and eventually revealed the hidden finale. On 30 December, the secret completion was unveiled as Firework, which Doggie beat on 24 December.[113] Coincidentally, Update 2.2 was released during 'Doggie December', on 19 December 2023, making this edition especially memorable.
GRIEF verification and current endeavours
[edit | edit source]After tying up his remaining goals before the release of Update 2.2, Doggie's next major focus was verifying GRIEF, which was fully decorated but needed time to be properly fixed for Update 2.2. In the meantime, he maintained his momentum by completing KOCMOC and several other Main List Demons, including Thinking Space and Edge of Destiny.[114][115][116]
On 1 April 2024, Doggie released the level Bloodbath Infinity as an April Fools' joke.[117] The level was a completed version of a project he began in 2017 during the Bloodlust era. The first 57% were built in 2017, while the remainder was completed in 2024. It was verified by Ozzy612, who had originally been intended as the verifier when the project was first conceived.
Verifying GRIEF in Update 2.2 was challenging because of the newly implemented 240TPS lock. However, on 8 April 2024, syzzi released the Click Between Frames mod, which fully resolved the issue.[118] With that problem solved, Doggie confirmed he would use the mod to verify the level. He officially began verifying GRIEF, a prospective Top 1 Demon, on 1 May.
On 25 May, Doggie uploaded a video, 'DOGGIE CHALLENGES X // Megacollab Edition', the tenth entry in his long-running 'Doggie Challenges' series, where fans submit custom challenges for him to play.[119] For this special edition, he hosted a creator contest where participants submitted parts for a collaborative level. Doggie chose the best entries, built the final part himself, and verified the full level on the same day the video was published.
During the first month of verifying GRIEF, Doggie made notable progress, achieving a 65-100% run and 27% from 0%.[120] He began releasing monthly progress updates to document his journey. On 30 June, he met up in person with Trick and Diamond to beat Codependence together live on stream.[121]
By the end of July, Doggie had reached 41%, 56-100%, and 49-100%, showing promising signs of progress.[122] However, he became stuck at 41% for over a month and a half. On 19 August, he pushed to 47%, and then quickly reached 49%.[123][124] On 13 September, he finally progressed past this block and died at 52%, his first attempt at the second half of the level.[125] In the following days, he reached 54%, then 56%.[126][127] On 26 September, he made it to 68%, marking his first second-drop attempt, widely considered the hardest part.[128] By then, he had already surpassed his previous high attempt count of 121,749 on Acheron.
In October, his consistency declined, leading him to take a brief hiatus from GRIEF in November and December to focus on school and preparations for 'Doggie December', a special edition set to be his biggest yet. On 24 November, he returned to the level and fluked to 80% on only his second second-drop attempt.[129] By then, he had also achieved a best run of 44-100%.[130]
'Doggie December' 2024 launched with a new twist: each video featured a special guest.[131] While the trailer announced four guests, the remaining five, including the finale, were kept secret. The guest lineup in order was: npesta, Colon, Trick, mrekk, Zoink, Riot, Technical, Cyclic, and, for the finale, Doggie himself. In the final video, Doggie beat Codependence, one of the hardest two-player levels, by controlling both players simultaneously.[132] The event was a major success, earning him nominations for Best YouTuber and Best Video (for the Codependence Solo video) in the Geometry Dash 2024 Awards.[133]
Doggie resumed his GRIEF verification in January 2025, steadily improving his consistency in reaching the second drop. By the end of February, he had made nine attempts at the second drop, and on 26 February, he completed a 25-100% run, covering the entire drop to the end.[134]
The months that followed were marked by difficulty pushing past 80%. Although Doggie repeatedly reached the second drop, he often died early. Doggie has crashed over 50 times at 65% and beyond.
In the GRIEF progress report videos #14 and #15 on 16 August 2025, Doggie said he was mentally drained after playing the level.[135] Doggie mentioned that while he had strong consistency on the level in May, June and July saw no new progress or consistency. He explained that his inability to push past the drop came from focusing on other levels, such as Amethyst and Tidal Wave, and building muscle memory on them, while pushing GRIEF out of his focus. On stream 232, Doggie had the best consistency on the level since the start of verification, reaching past 65% five times, coincidentally on the same day the two projected Top 1 levels, Amethyst and Thinking Space II, were verified.[136] Despite this recent success, Doggie has been feeling too physically tired to keep playing, quote 'I couldn't control it (icon) or move it as fast as I knew I could'. On 25 July, Doggie stopped streaming GRIEF due to burnout. He eventually uploaded a new stream on 6 August.
Even then, Doggie decided to take a break before streaming GRIEF again on 21 August. For the next two months, he still struggled to make any reasonable progress, often dying to Mercury or Burgadahz's sections and not reaching the second drop at all. However, on 28 October, Doggie suddenly got a massive boost in skill, not only getting to the drop 35 times, the most drop attempts to date, but also getting runs of 67%, 68%, 76%, and even getting to 79% for the third time, as well as getting 25-98%, marking the first time getting past the second drop since August.
On 3 October, Doggie released a level called The End is Here, which he had first previewed on 31 July of that year. The End is Here was met with widespread acclaim for its effects and music representation, with many noting Doggie's versatility both in playing the game and in creating. The level received a Legendary rating five days later, on 8 October, along with Doggie's other levels, Gang and Exosphere, which were star-rated and featured, respectively.
On 2 November, after 342 days stuck at 80% on GRIEF, Doggie broke through with a new best of 83%, passing the 'Tacos Wave'.[137]
In 2026, Doggie streamed the GRIEF verification almost every day of February 2026, taking a couple of breaks to rest his hand, and reached greafer's part on every stream in March. He has achieved several notable attempts since his return on 21 January 2026, including getting 25-100% several more times. Doggie later created a slightly nerfed version of GRIEF, moving obstacles by only a micro-step to help him improve on the level and hopefully perform better on the real version.[138] On 7 May 2026, Doggie eventually managed to reach 84% after six months from his previous record.[139]
Aside from GRIEF, Doggie has also played other levels, such as Tidal Wave and Amethyst, and recently Aeternus. He set a world record with a 52-62% run on 25 May 2026.[140]
A month after getting 84% on GRIEF, on 14 June 2026, Doggie finally broke the barrier of GrenadeofTacos's part, almost fluking the end, failing at 97%.[141]
On 21 August, Doggie reached 1,000,000 subscribers on YouTube on his 377th GRIEF stream.[142] A month later, on 21 September, Doggie unfortunately failed at 97% again, followed by another ending run of 91% on his 390th GRIEF stream.[143][144]
After two years and five months, Doggie finally verified GRIEF on 5 October 2026 after a staggering 436,879 attempts.[1]

Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Doggie has garnered over 1,150,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.[147]
- Doggie hit 100,000 YouTube subscribers on 10 June 2023,[148] celebrating the milestone with a 104-minute highlight rewind.[106]
- Doggie hit 200,000 subscribers on 29 September 2024, during his 100th GRIEF stream.[149]
- Doggie hit 300,000 subscribers on 21 June 2025, during his 244th GRIEF stream.[150]
- Doggie hit 400,000 subscribers on 5 November 2025, during a GRIEF stream with popular streamer Jynxzi.[151]
- Doggie hit 1,000,000 subscribers on 21 August 2026, during his 377th GRIEF stream.[142]
- Doggie was the second guest of The Dasher Podcast.[152]
- Doggie is 5'5" (165 cm) tall.
- Doggie uses the G502 Lightspeed mouse, a wireless version of the G502 HERO.
- Doggie currently uses the Wooting 80HE keyboard for Geometry Dash. His past input devices include the G502 Proteus, G502 HERO, G502 X, Razer Viper 8K, Corsair K70 and the SayoDevice.
- Doggie's monitor is the ASUS PG27AQDP (480Hz, 1440p OLED, 0.03ms response time).
- Doggie edits videos with Final Cut Pro.
- Doggie has a sister and a brother, formerly known online as 'AutoManiac'.
- Doggie has a dog named Lucy, a 13-year-old yellow Labrador born on Christmas Day.
- Doggie's username originated from a stuffed dog he had as a child that gradually fell apart, earning the nickname 'ripped dog', which later evolved into 'RippyDoggy', the name of his original YouTube channel. As he began creating Geometry Dash content, the name was adapted into 'DoggieDasher' and eventually shortened to 'Doggie'.[156]
- The first Geometry Dash level Doggie ever completed was not Stereo Madness, but World of Fantasies, the first level uploaded on his account by his brother. He beat Stereo Madness later that same day.
- Doggie was promoted to Geometry Dash Moderator on 2 September 2021, alongside Amoeba, Ashkar, Efext, Sinko and notlsa. He took mod-level requests via a text channel in his Discord server until he stepped down on 5 October 2022.
- Doggie has edited or contributed to the editing of exactly 100 of npesta's videos. He has also edited for several other prominent creators, including Technical, Golden, Juniper, AeonAir, RobTop, and Viprin.
- Viprin inspired Doggie's current icon colours. He initially used a dark purple primary with a yellow secondary for years. However, while attempting Auditory Breaker in late 2019, he switched to a pink primary because he felt the wave trail looked cleaner.[157] Although meant to be temporary, he liked the change and kept it.
- In the description of the first video that Doggie ever edited for npesta (Sakupen Hell), npesta referred to him as 'Doggie/Ripple', a typo of 'Rippy', which was Doggie's Discord name at the time. Coincidentally, when his channel was hacked in 2023, it was renamed to 'RippleUS'.
- Doggie started the YouTube series 'Doggie December' in 2022, releasing a video every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the month.
- In 'Doggie December' 2023, he incorporated an ARG (alternate reality game) with hidden clues in each video, which led to the surprise final level: Firework.
- In 2024, Doggie included guest appearances in every video, featuring npesta, Colon, Trick, mrekk, Zoink, Riot, Technical and Cyclic. It reintroduced the ARG, culminating in the final level, Codependence (solo), which he beat as the sixth victor.
- Doggie considers 19 December his 'lucky day'—on this date:
- npesta made the post asking for a video editor (kickstarting Doggie's editing career).
- Doggie was nominated for Best YouTuber in The Geometry Dash Awards.
- Doggie received his first rated level in 2020.
- Doggie verified Slaughterhouse in 2021.
- Update 2.2 was released in 2023.
- Doggie frequently references the 'Uncle Sam strategy' when practising levels. The strategy involves grinding a long section of a level until it becomes consistent, then gradually extending the run. He notably used it to complete Kenos and Silent clubstep. The name comes from a YouTube chat member, 'Uncle Sam', who first suggested it for Silent clubstep practice.
- Doggie is known for having unusual click patterns, often discovering unintentional skips. One of the most influential examples is his discovery of a method to simplify the 35% UFO click in Acheron, turning a 3-frame timing into a trivial input by bumping into the ceiling. Every subsequent victor has used this method.
- Doggie has beaten one Extreme Demon on mobile: Acu.[158]
- Doggie's biggest fluke by percentage is Down Bass, fluking from 22%, but he considers his fluke on Ocular Miracle from 51% more significant.[159]
- Doggie's favourite Extreme Demon in terms of quality and experience was Spectrum Cyclone, which he rated 99/100. His least favourite for enjoyment was Acheron, which he rated 1/100 because of its extreme difficulty; he considers Silent Clubstep worse overall.
- In completing the Extreme Demon limitless, Doggie used a secret way to bypass the level at 21%. He humorously rated the experience as 'egg sandwich/100', a nod to Technical's 'brian/100' rating for Furious Flames.
- Doggie's peak recorded heart rate during a level was 182 BPM, reached while completing Tartarus.
- Doggie has verified 12 Extreme Demons. The following are rated: Timor, Slaughterhouse, The Reaper, Aerial Gleam, The Gins II, Deimos (ItsHybrid), Delta, and GRIEF. The following are unrated: Aesthetic Abyss, WindFall, Exosphere and Doggie Challenge X.
- Doggie has also verified what he calls a 'fundate' (fun update) to Altered Ascent.
- Additionally, Teno later verified an update to The Reaper.
- While Doggie was initially considered the first victor of Slaughterhouse, he was later credited as its unofficial verifier after spaceuk, the original verifier, was exposed for hacking.
- Besides Slaughterhouse, spaceuk robbed Doggie of the first victor title for Acheron.
- The highest position Doggie has ever achieved on the Stats Viewer is #5.
- Doggie is the only player known to have verified a Top 1 Extreme Demon while holding in-game Moderator status.
- The most Top 10 Demons Doggie has completed at once is seven, achieved after beating KOCMOC in early 2024. At that time, he had not completed Tidal Wave, Avernus and Kyouki. Beating the entire Top 10 remains one of his goals.
- Doggie currently holds the record for the most attempts on a Top 1 verification.
- During a GRIEF stream on 13 May 2025, Doggie spontaneously decided to play Tidal Wave, likely as a break from GRIEF, and ended up achieving a run of 55-100% before abruptly ending the stream.
- Doggie's most liked tweet was posted on the first anniversary of beginning the verification of GRIEF. The tweet featured a 'then vs now' comparison photo with the caption: '1 day with Grief vs 1 year with Grief. Happy anniversary my love.' It received over 13,000 likes, mainly due to a viral quote retweet (over 200,000 likes) that joked, 'i thought this n**** girlfriend died or something he's talking about f**king geometry dash.'[160]
- On 20 December 2019, Doggie rolled Sonic Wave three times in a row using the GDBrowser random Extreme Demon selector, a 1 in 40,000 (0.0025%) probability based on the ~200 Extreme Demons at the time.[161] This occurrence is about as likely as flipping heads 15 times in a row.
