GeoBound is a 2.1 Harder level created in collaboration by MoonSpark and Axils, the latter who verified and published it. It is the fourth level of the Ice Gauntlet.
Description
- 0-22% (MoonSpark): The level starts with an optional "auto wave" key that the player can grab, along with the sentence "Play this in practice mode before playing". The gameplay starts at half-speed, with cube jumps on slopes. Next, it transitions into a short ship sequence with slopes featuring spikes on it. Then, it speeds up to normal speed for a mini-cube section with jumps on moving platforms, before speeding up to double-speed for a short UFO section. Afterward, it speeds up to triple-speed, and there is an auto blue pad section until the drop.
- 23-48% (Axils): The drop starts with a double-speed wave section featuring several size changes. It is somewhat tight for a 6* but is entirely free if the player picked up the "auto wave" key at the beginning of the level. It becomes a mini-cube that is mostly auto, interrupted by a few jumps and orbs. Next, the level transitions into a ball section with several tricky orb timings. Then, it becomes an asymmetrical dual cube section where the player must hold a few times.
- 49-76% (MoonSpark): The gameplay speeds up to triple-speed for a robot section with large jumps and green orbs, a short ship, then a mini-cube with a few jumps. It then becomes a double-speed wave where the player must click and release towards the music. The gameplay then speeds back to triple-speed for a ball section with several orbs and slopes. This section ends with a short triple-speed cube with a couple of jumps, then an auto portal section with a single orb into the next section.
- 77-100% (Axils): This section starts with a double-speed cube section with several orbs and portals, then a short ship sequence, both of which are set in a more closed tunnel-like area, unlike the rest of the level, which is more open. The gameplay then becomes a ball with several jumps and orbs, before ending with one final cube section, during which the creators' names can be seen.
User coins
- Coin 1: At 12%, in the first mini-cube section, instead of falling down the platforms, the player must jump and hit an invisible orb to collect the coin.
- Coin 2: At 40%, in the ball segment, the player must hit an invisible dash orb while in the air and hold to get the coin. A teleport will put the player back onto the normal route.
- Coin 3: At 66%, in the triple-speed ball segment, the player must jump down and skip the yellow orb. Doing this will cause the player to land on an invisible platform to collect the coin, and a teleport will put the player back onto the normal route.
Gameplay
Trivia
- GeoBound used to be the 2nd level of the Ice Gauntlet before it was shifted to the 4th level, as the gauntlet was rearranged resulting from Skyward's overestimated difficulty.
- Despite being released in 2.1, the only 2.1 gameplay is the dash orb for the second coin and the D blocks during the wave sequence.
