“09/08/2023: Reworked to remove invisible speed changes and to make it more readable and conventional (old version reuploaded separately)~ RadiationV2
Magmatic Sanctuary is a 2.0/2.1 Harder level by RadiationV2. It is the fifth and final level of the Fire Gauntlet.
Description
- 0-16%: The first 8% is a relatively easy half-speed cube section. The player can jump over the small gaps present. The first transition leads into a ship sequence with numerous moving objects, notably orange square blocks.
- 17-37%: After that is a normal-speed cube section. There are extra jump orbs the player can use. The player must avoid the orange wheels to prevent crashing. A noticeably harder wave segment follows, and the wave alternates between large and small.
- 38-55%: The two short half-speed UFO and ship segments succeed the wave segment. There are multiple white skills and blocks at the top and bottom that the player cannot touch. These segments preceded a normal speed cube and then a half-speed ball segment at the buildup to the drop. Right before it, a message appears, saying 'Caution: Erratic Speed'.
- 56-88%: After the drop, the player enters a mini-wave segment. It leads to many different short sections focusing on every game-mode that often changes speed.
- 89-100%: The end of the level has a short boss fight against a Minior from Pokémon and then a short cube and ship sequence in between. The Minior will attempt to shoot laser beams at the player to make them crash. At the end of the boss fight, it will fling itself at the player. If the player dodges it, they will get to a short cube section and finish the level.
User coins
- Coin 1: At 30%, in the first wave section, the player must go into a relatively tight gap with the wave at the bottom.
- Coin 2: At 63%, the player must go into a hidden tight corridor with the mini wave to collect a key (the hidden corridor gets shown to the player if they miss it). The coin is then given for free at 65%.
- Coin 3: At 74%, the player must precisely jump to collect a key without hitting the sawblades. They then must jump over the blue pad at 79% and hit a blue jump orb to return to the main route.
Gameplay
Trivia
- Magmatic Sanctuary was originally the first level of the Fire Gauntlet, but its position was shift to the fifth after it was evaluated to be the most difficult level among the levels in the gauntlet.
- The boss at the end of the level is the Rock/Flying type Pokémon Minior.
- The creator of the level requested a Demon difficulty rating.
- On 8 September 2023, the Magmatic Sanctuary received a major update (it previously contained 27,045 objects). Some changes include:
- The portals at the end of the first UFO section have pink orbs inside them when they did not previously.
- The text at the drop says 'Caution: Erratic Speed' instead of 'Unstable Speed'.
- The speed portals during the drop were made visible, and the game-modes change speed a lot less.
- The transition at 70% was made more fair.
- A yellow orb at 76% was removed.
- The boss swoops down instead of up for its last attack.
