Michael Reisner (9 December 1996 – 10 March 2021), known in Geometry Dash as Michigun, was an Austrian player. Recognised as one of the game's fastest star-grinders, he amassed 61,639 stars, 12,502 user coins, 16,661 diamonds, 1,000 Demons, and 17 creator points. Michigun also created numerous levels inspired by temples from The Legend of Zelda series.

History

[edit | edit source]

Michigun rose to fame in late 2015 when he secured the #1 rank on the Top 100, surpassing players like zNymo98. However, by April 2017, Shaggy23 surpassed him, and later, in June, Noctalium did. By the end of 2017, Michigun was no longer competitive at the top of the leaderboard.

On 8 December 2017, Michigun posted a cryptic status message: 'game over. I wish you all the best. ;)', which he later confirmed was his announcement of retirement from the game.

Michigun passed away on 10 March 2021. His cause of death was not disclosed, and it was announced by Viprin on 30 March 2021, following a request from Michigun's family to delay the public announcement.
