Moderators are Geometry Dash players whose accounts have been granted special tools for monitoring and moderating elements relating to player activity. They were introduced in Update 2.0.

Description

Moderators are selected by the game's developer. As of Update 2.11, a moderator can be distinguished by an "M" badge appearing next to their username on both their profile page and comments (excluding leaderboard moderators). The full list of current moderators, elder moderators, and former moderators can be viewed here.

Moderator

Moderators are players who have privileges to send unrated levels and suggested difficulties to RobTop, as well as add levels to the "Sent" tab. Additionally, have a higher priority when suggesting demon difficulty ratings. Comments left by moderators appear in light green text (hex code: #c8ffc8).

Elder Moderator

Elder Moderators are the highest class of Moderators, being introduced in Update 2.11. These players hold additional special responsibilities over regular Moderators. Elder Moderators can delete comments on levels, give users temporary bans from commenting, remove non-featured user levels with under 1000 downloads from the server, and whitelist featured Newgrounds artists. Comments left by Elder Moderators appear in darker green text (hex code: #4bff4b).

Leaderboard Moderator

Leaderboards Moderators are an additional type of moderator who moderates the Leaderboards. Unlike other Moderators, Leaderboard Moderators do not have unique coloured comments. These were first assigned during the latter half of Update 2.11 and officially added in Update 2.2.

Trivia

  • Initially, Moderators had white text for their comments until a server-side update changed their text to light green on September 17, 2020.
  • Prior to update 2.1 the Mod Suggestion button was initially located beneath the Rate button, whilst having an identical appearance.
