Plasma Pulse (also known as Plasma Pulse I) is a 1.9 Insane Demon level created by Giron and Smokes, and verified and published by Giron. It is the first level in the Plasma Pulse series, preceding Plasma Pulse II, Plasma Pulse III, and Plasma Pulse Finale.

Gameplay

[edit | edit source]
  • 0-8%: The level begins with a normal-speed cube section featuring several fake blocks and simple timings.
  • 9-19%: When the music speeds up, the player transitions into a double-speed ball segment with some more fakes and a handful of tricky timings.
  • 20-30%: This is followed by a difficult wave segment with a couple of gravity portals and several tight spaces, as well as a bunch of misleading ones.
  • 31-54%: Afterward, the player transitions to a very skill-based UFO segment that speeds up to triple-speed in the middle (at 41%).
  • 55-67%: This is quickly followed up by a very difficult asymmetrical cube dual section with varying size changes and confusing timings.
  • 68-74%: After a brief but tight mini-wave segment, the player enters a normal-speed dual ship sequence that features several tight spaces, many of which are one-block-wide.
  • 75-77%: The player then transitions into a very short but tricky ship and wave mixed dual segment, followed by a short regular straight-fly segment.
  • 78-100%: Next comes a half-speed mini-cube section with numerous fakes and a couple of tricky timings (using jump orbs located inside portals), with another asymmetrical cube dual coming right after. Finally, the level concludes with the player slowing down to half-speed.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • While the level has a listed length of Long, its actual length is only 58s. This is because when the level was created in 1.9, level lengths were based on the X-coordinate of the furthest right object as opposed to the time taken to beat the level.
  • Blocks are placed behind the player's starting position, similar to Problematic.
  • The level is the only installment of the Plasma Pulse series to have never been added to the Demonlist, as it was not list-worthy upon the creation of the current Demonlist website.
