Practice mode is available on all levels, whether default, or user made.

Sound Effects

Whenever one enters practice mode, the default music will stop and the song Stay Inside Me by OcularNebula will start playing. Even though the song is an official Geometry Dash soundtrack, it is not available to use in the Level Editor. This is the only song in the game that will loop after ending. After completion of a level in Practice mode, the song will keep playing and looping.

Visual Effects

In practice mode, there are several visual effects that will take place. The first one is that objects that pulse will stop pulsing. Secondly, there will be a box appearing at the bottom of the screen. The box will contain two icons, the first is a green diamond that looks like a Plumbob from The Sims. The second is a green Plumbob with a red No Sign on top. These have a significant use in practice mode. The former icon places a checkpoint, while the latter removes the last checkpoint placed. The third visual effect is checkpoints. Checkpoints are green Plumbobs that are placed on the map. Checkpoints will re spawn you from that point whenever you die. Checkpoints can either be placed automatically or manually. The fourth visual effect is seen at the end of the level. When you hit the goal, the screen will immediately display the words Practice Complete in blue letters instead of seeing the rays of light coming from the goal before seeing the words Level Complete in green letters.
