Sonic Wave Rebirth (abbreviated as SWR and formerly known as Alter Sonic Wave) is a 2.0/2.1 Extreme Demon collaboration level by Serponge and FunnyGame, verified by Moosh.[1]
Description
Sonic Wave Rebirth is a remake of Sonic Wave. IT began as a project by Mefewe in 2016 to verify a modern, definitive version of Sonic Wave after achieving 98% on his buffed version of the level. Following Mefewe's departure from playing Geometry Dash, the level remained predominantly dormant for five years. It was later picked up by Aeden, who had the level redecorated and buffed to Top 1. Without explicit permission from Serponge, Aeden's version was considered illegitimate and was later dropped.[2] An official version with approval from Serponge and featuring a few of the former buffs was verified by Moosh on 28 April 2021, and received an Epic rating the same day, placing directly above the original level on the Demonlist.
The original version of Sonic Wave Rebirth featured numerous buffs Mefewe had made to his version of the original level. These buffs would not be reflected in the final version of the level, whose gameplay is virtually identical to the original Sonic Wave. For information on the full gameplay, see here.
The level features a four-second ending that displays the names of the level's creators.

- The first coin is located at 8% at the end of the first cube section.
- The second coin is located at 55% in the fourth cube section.
- The third and final coin is located at 98% in the final cube section.

- Sonic Wave Rebirth was placed at #33 on the Demonlist on 4 May 2021, above Sonic Wave and below Spacial Rend.
- This addition pushed Auditory Breaker into the Extended List and Ancestral Calamity into the Legacy List.
- Sonic Wave Rebirth is currently Serponge's only Extreme Demon, the hardest published level, and the only one on the Demonlist.
- The movement of the wiener on 8 October 2023 pushed Sonic Wave Rebirth into the Legacy List of the Demonlist.
Notable completions
- DashY became the first player to beat Sonic Wave Rebirth on mobile on 28 May 2021, using a 120Hz phone.[3]
