The Treasure Room is a room in Geometry Dash, Geometry Dash Lite and Geometry Dash World, introduced in Update 2.1. It is accessed through the door in the lower-right corner of the creator menu. The Keymaster opens the room permanently once the player has collected five Demon Keys.

The room contains 604 regular chests opened with Demon Keys, three bonus chests unlocked by opening specified numbers of regular chests, twenty chests opened with Gold Keys, and entrances to four shops. Its selection of chests was expanded substantially in Update 2.2, while the Gold Key section was added in Update 2.207.

Before the player has collected five Demon Keys, selecting the Treasure Room door summons the Keymaster, who states how many more keys are required. Upon collecting the fifth key and selecting the door again, the Keymaster opens it permanently. Entering the room does not consume those five keys; keys are spent only when individual chests are opened.

Demon Keys are principally awarded as the player collects eligible mana orbs, with one key awarded for every 500. They can also be obtained directly from certain reward chests and Event Levels. Gold Keys are obtained from the reward chests of selected Event Levels and are spent separately from Demon Keys.

Description
The first screen contains 3 different chest textures, each leading to a subsection of one type of chest. the first one leads to a room with 400 chests costing one demon key each. the second one leads to a room of 100 chests costing 5 demon keys each. the third one leads to a room with 60 chests costing 10 demon keys each. These chests contain a variety of rewards, including orbs, diamonds, shards, icons and colors. Some chests contain a mix of these rewards, with 10 key chests guaranteeing a combination containing an icon or a color.
The Treasure Room is divided into five main screens. The first two lead to six categories of regular chest, separated into Tier 1 and Tier 2. A chest's required number of keys is displayed beneath it, and attempting to open one without enough keys causes the Keymaster to state the remaining requirement.

The second screen is titled "Tier 2" and, much like the first one, has three different chest textures each leading to a subsection. The first chest leads to a subsection of 24 chests costing 25 demon keys each. The second chest leads to a subsection of 12 chests costing 50 demon keys each. The final chest contains 8 chests costing 100 demon keys each. All of these chests contain one or more icons or colors, alongside other types of rewards, often multiple types of rewards (such as orbs and diamonds in one chest.)

Access

Description

The Treasure Room is divided into five main screens. The first two lead to six categories of regular chest, separated into Tier 1 and Tier 2. A chest's required number of keys is displayed beneath it, and attempting to open one without enough keys causes the Keymaster to state the remaining requirement.

Screen Chest type Number of chests Keys per chest Keys for category
Tier 1 1-key chest 400 1 Demon Key 400 Demon Keys
5-key chest 100 5 Demon Keys 500 Demon Keys
10-key chest 60 10 Demon Keys 600 Demon Keys
Tier 2 25-key chest 24 25 Demon Keys 600 Demon Keys
50-key chest 12 50 Demon Keys 600 Demon Keys
100-key chest 8 100 Demon Keys 800 Demon Keys
Total 604 3,500 Demon Keys

The regular chests draw from finite reward pools associated with their chest category. Their contents include mana orbs, diamonds, shards, colours and Icon Kit items. Higher-cost chests generally contain larger currency rewards and more cosmetic items. Opening every regular chest requires 3,500 Demon Keys.

Bonus chests

The third screen contains three bonus chests. These do not consume keys; each becomes available after the required number of regular Treasure Room chests has been opened.

Requirement Rewards Additional function
50 chests opened Ball 23 and Green Key The Green Key removes the corresponding lock in the Basement.
100 chests opened Cube 104
200 chests opened UFO 27

Gold chests

The fourth screen contains twenty Gold Chests. Each costs one Gold Key and awards the next reward in a fixed sequence, rather than allowing the player to choose a particular reward by position. Once all twenty have been opened, the Keymaster states that no Gold Chests remain. Opening the complete set requires twenty Gold Keys.

Shops

The fifth screen contains four hanging ropes leading to shops. Access is determined by the player's total collected diamonds; entering a shop does not spend them.

Rope Shop Access requirement Currency used inside
First Secret Shop 500 diamonds Mana orbs
Second Community Shop 200 diamonds Mana orbs
Third Mechanic 2,000 diamonds Mana orbs
Fourth Diamond Shop 1,000 diamonds Diamond shards

Loot chances

The tables below describe the complete reward distribution within each finite chest category. “Probability” expresses how many chests in that category contain the specified reward, while “Percentage” expresses the same figure as a proportion of the category. Percentages can total more than 100% because one chest may contain several different rewards.

Trivia

  • Prior to Update 2.2, there were only 1-key and 5-key chests, which were individually displayed in 4x3 arrays across numerous screens.
  • The total number of keys required to open all chests is 3,500 demon keys and 20 gold keys.
    • Prior to Update 2.2, the total number of keys required to open all chests was 440 demon keys.
    • If all 3,500 Demon Keys are obtained solely through eligible mana-orb progress, they correspond to 1,750,000 mana orbs. Keys awarded directly by chests or Event Levels reduce the number of mana orbs required.
  • The music that plays in the Treasure Room is Random Song 01 and was produced by Robert Topala. It is also used in the Vault.
  • The sprite used for the Keymaster in the "insufficient keys" dialog box changes based on how many keys the chest requires, him getting more/less shocked the more/less keys required.
