ORBIT is a 2.1/2.2 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level hosted and published by MindCap, verified by Zoink on 10 February 2026.[1] The level is centred on a deep celestial outer-space theme, with orbs acting as astronomical objects such as planets, stars, and black holes.
It is a highly distinctive level in which every input is an orb, creating a gameplay experience that differs significantly from most other Extreme Demons.
History
[edit | edit source]On 15 January 2023, MindCap posted the first preview of ORBIT[2] and then the full layout 12 days later.[3] On 23 November 2025, MindCap publicly announced Zoink as the verifier of the level,[4] and on 2 December 2025, he premiered the full showcase on his YouTube channel.[5]
Verification process
[edit | edit source]On 19 December 2025, Zoink began verifying ORBIT. Additionally, MindCap obfuscated the level, making it difficult for Zoink to make any changes; he could still make minimal changes with the guidance and permission provided. Zoink's first stream had him achieving a run of 69-100%. A day later, he got 12%. On 22 December, he got 59-100% off-stream. On 31 December, he reached 24%, and on 2 January 2026, 34%. On 5 January, he managed to get 40%, 43%, and a fluke to 72% in the same stream. On 18 January 2026, he failed at 72% again.
The ORBIT copy later got updated, which adjusted the percentages, changing the 72% record to 89%. On 21 January 2026, Zoink failed at 82%, and on 23 January 2026, he failed at 87% twice. The copy was updated again, slightly changing the percentages, and on 25 January 2026, he reached 93%. On 29 January 2026, he got 88%, then clicked the wrong orb at the end and got trapped in the ball pit, essentially failing at 99%.
On 10 February 2026, after getting a 15-100% run, Zoink verified ORBIT with ~30,000 attempts.[1]
Description
[edit | edit source]- 0-8% (Pennutoh + SmitN): ORBIT begins with the cube falling in space. An enormous white explosion appears on the left side of the screen, with small asteroids and planets rushing out of it. Gameplay-wise, the cube falls onto a buffer-click yellow orb, followed by numerous other orb timings featuring pink, red, black, green, more yellow, and toggle orbs disguised as blue or black. The base structures are primarily composed of dark grey 1.0 grid blocks with solid outlines, 1.9/2.0 connector pieces, and air decorations consisting of other players' cubes in small bubbles and gears with outlines inside. Towards the end of the section, the player must hit a larger black orb repeatedly as the cube bounces towards it via yellow and pink pads, with an extra yellow and blue orb crammed in as well. The platform, consisting of pads, is also composed of dark-grey 1.0 grid designs with gears inside of it, and a sign that reads '!DROP INCOMING!'
- 8-15% (iKrazo + mels): Following a short transition, the player enters the next section. The first half of this section requires the player to navigate through tight gaps of green structures by performing several pink, blue, and black orb timings at triple speed. The background is a blue gradient with smaller green structures. The end of the first half involves the player hitting four more dash orbs at quadruple speed in sync with the song, while horizontal borders appear at the top and bottom of the screen, with circling rings of orbs, until the second half. The second half of the section involves the player stuck to a multi-hit pink orb while mini at triple speed. The decoration is primarily pink/magenta, with darker colours used to simulate depth. Using the multi-hit pink orb, the player must navigate through moving sawblades, a tight corridor moving upwards, and more moving sawblades while hitting some extra orbs. The end of the second half forces the player back to normal size, and clicking four times with the multi-hit pink orb to avoid spikes at quadruple speed to the song's sync, while the borders with circling orb rings briefly appear again.
- 15-21% (iKrazo + HelpegasuS + Deadlox): The next section slows the player back down to triple speed, before forcing the player onto a red pad with a pink orb above it that the player must click to negate the red pad's boost to enter a small, tight corridor. This section involves orbs either next to or merged into gravity portals. The player must navigate several precise orb timings and occasionally hit toggle orbs to rotate gravity portals correctly or move structures out of the way to make room for the player. The structures are composed of many complicated block designs that flash green and purple. Following another quick quadruple-speed segment with two more dash orb and pink orb inputs to sync with the song, the player must navigate through black, blue, and pink orbs, as well as pink dash orbs, to avoid moving structures and pass through tight gaps while repeatedly getting launched by red pads. After a final yellow orb input, the player enters a toggle orb-shaped wormhole as a transition into the next section, before said wormhole disappears for a split second.
- 21-29% (Djoxy): Another toggle orb-shaped wormhole appears shortly after, and the player pops out of it before the wormhole closes. This section features a dark blue background with large circular poles that spin horizontally. There are large strings of orbs that snake around these poles and occasionally enter and exit the background through wormholes of the corresponding orb types. The player must navigate through these strings of orbs to avoid light-blue obstacles with spikes that either exit or enter their corresponding slots in the background. After nine successful orb inputs, a giant black orb appears out of a large black orb-shaped wormhole with Djoxy's name in the background on it. This black orb automatically exerts a downward force on the player without requiring an input. Afterwards, the player falls onto a yellow string of orbs and must continue to navigate the section of orb strings to avoid more light-blue obstacles from before. The final two inputs of this section involve buffering a red orb and hitting a pink orb to negate the power of the previous red orb. If at any point the player falls out of this part into the floor or ceiling, they will crash.
- 29-36% (Don + Whippie37): Following another quick transition, the player speeds up to triple speed. The player must frequently time orb inputs to manoeuvre through tight gaps between structures with colourful, flashy block designs, with 1.9 connector pieces on top as well. Some spikes also occasionally sit atop these structures and are angled to appear 3D. In some cases, the player will be required to hit orbs to avoid spinning asteroids with colour-changing outlines. Many unclickable orbs appear in the background during this part. Midway through this point, a red and pink laser beam appears, marked by red pillars with exclamation marks that give the player jump boosts based on their colours, while hitting an extra green orb in between. Afterwards, the gameplay remains relatively the same, the only difference being extra toggle orbs thrown in to move structures out of the way with gravity portals occasionally spinning rapidly around said toggle orbs, and also more laser beams of light blue, yellow, pink, and red that occasionally appear to give the player jump boosts based on their colours. Near the end of the section, multiple of the large orbs in the background eventually link up together and begin to follow the player as the player hits one final pink dash orb to transition into the next section.
- 36-43% (PegasusZ + VolteX): Once the transition is over, the player speeds up to quadruple speed and briefly falls onto a red pad and hits their head on a structure before landing on the same string of orbs from the end of the previous section, resembling a snake. The orbs appear in this order from left to right: yellow, red, pink, blue, green, yellow again, and a larger black orb. The player must use this orb snake as it moves rapidly, along with several dash orbs, pads, and gravity portals squeezed into the gameplay to traverse through tight gaps of structures with flashing bright colours, smaller shapes with spikes that move in the opposite direction of the player, and bright-coloured gears that act as air decoration. There are smaller arrows with outlined circles on the main path that also serve as air decoration. In the background, medium-sized asteroids with outlines fly past the player, and a much larger, circular one spins in time with the music, while rays of light shoot from its craters. Near the end of the first half, the orb snake temporarily leaves the screen, and the player must hit at least two orbs on spinning wheels with gravity portals in the correct order while being mini, before hitting another yellow orb and also a pink dash orb, and then changing back to normal size. While the player hits the dash orb, a horizontal corridor with spikes on both surfaces appears, with the top border having VolteX's name on it. Once the borders go away, the player hits a green dash orb while changing to double speed. In the second half, the player speeds back up to quadruple speed as they land on a pink pad, and the orb snake returns. The player must continue to briefly use the orb snake to navigate this section, while occasionally passing through portals. The larger asteroid in the background also splits in half, and a yellow orb emerges from it. After becoming mini again, the orb snake leaves the screen again, and the player changes to mini again before landing on two yellow pads to bounce through a tight gap, before timing four more dash orbs (two pink, two green) correctly. On the fourth dash orb, the player changes to triple speed, enters a mirror portal, changes back to normal size, and numerous orbs and portals fall vertically downwards with a yellow horizontal beam in the background to serve as a transition into the next section.
- 43-50% (PegasusZ + Expa + Classic10): After the transition, the next part begins. The player must dodge green 1.6 blocks that form asteroids via difficult orb timings. The background is a dark turquoise-blue space with smaller yellow-green stars emerging from it. There are yellow-green circles around these asteroids, which hold gears and orbs that the player must navigate. These circles' obstacles spin into place, creating a path for the player to traverse. After hitting a pink orb, two more yellow orbs, and a green orb, the player must hit four more dash orbs that alternate between purple and green dash orbs before hitting another green orb and entering a yellow gravity portal combined with a blue mirror portal. Afterwards, the player must hit another green orb and briefly switch to double speed and triple speed, before entering an area with yellow pillars and turquoise blocks, where the same orb snake from the previous section returns. A larger black orb also briefly appears in the background. The player must carefully hit the orb snake's pink, green, and blue orbs to continue, and then a green dash orb while mini, which leads to a short auto section of gravity portals as the orb snake exits the screen one last time. After landing on two blue pads, a transition takes place, sucking all of the decorations into a larger black orb.
- 50-64% (Zephlin + MindCap + HugoLA): The player is sent into the black hole wormhole, where there are black orbs in almost every spike structure that the player must avoid as a mini-ship, and only hit the other orbs. This part consists of click-and-release gameplay through a tight corridor of spikes, involving blue, slightly bigger black, toggle, and green orbs that the player must click. Hitting any of the extra black orbs in this section will result in the player getting sent into a row of spikes regardless of the player's gravity. The background consists of a dark purple, flashy vortex that spins rapidly and swirls across the screen. In the middle of the part, the player returns to normal size, and the pillars are slightly farther apart so the correct orbs can be placed in the gravity portals. These orbs consist of the same orbs as before, with the addition of an extra red orb. The player must also click more frequently during this middle section, as the song's intensity peaks here. As the player shrinks back down to a mini-ship, the pillars move back closer together, similar to how they were at the beginning of the part.
- 64-72% (ZrKiphal + Th04): The next part turns the player into a normal-sized ball at double speed. The first click of this section is a purple dash orb that sits right on top of the ball portal, before clicking a blue orb on a blue gravity portal. This part features massive blue orbs that shrink into regular orbs before returning to their bigger size in sync with the song. The structures are primarily teal and have spikes that occasionally pulse green. The background is a deep blue space that contains indistinct space rocks. The player must triple-click the first of four of these special blue orbs before passing a vertically descending column of yellow orbs, and then triple-click the second of the blue orbs that alternate sizes. After timing some more orbs, some of which may have portals underneath them, the player must triple-click a third bigger blue orb before switching to mini and timing an extra pink and blue orb. After this, the player will be directed towards a horizontally scrolling line of blue orbs that the player must hit late, before returning to normal size and speeding up gradually to perform precise clicks while avoiding some moving blocks that contain spikes. After this, the player turns into a double-speed mini-cube section and must also click a pink orb that sits on the cube portal. After clicking the pink orb, the player must late-hit a blue and yellow orb before hitting a dash orb while avoiding a red orb with a normal-size portal below it. The player must then click two pink orbs and a final blue orb before subsequently timing a yellow and pink orb, along with two more purple dash orbs, avoiding a yellow orb with a normal-size portal below it in the process. Once the player finishes using the second dash orb, they must hit a red orb into a normal-size portal to speed up to triple speed and time some more orbs accordingly, three of which will revolve around another structure once they become visible. After hitting a pink orb with a blue gravity portal and a quadruple-speed portal on it, the player passes by an ascending column of blue orbs that the player must hit to get directed into another blue gravity portal, after which the next section begins.
- 72-79% (ZrKiphal + Empsea): After the screen flashes white for a split second, the player becomes a ball. The first half of this section is somewhat similar to the previous section's ball gameplay. However, the only differences are that the gameplay is primarily mini-ball, and there are green orbs that rapidly grow and shrink twice as fast as the blue orbs from the previous part. The structures are coloured in lighter and darker shades of pink that pulse brighter to the song's snares, while the designs are simple grid-like patterns with light pink connector pieces and a 3D outline along the edges. Some sawblades have a bottom-layered sawblade coloured dark pink, and a top-layered sawblade that is transparent. Additionally, there is a border around all four sides of the screen, with light pink corners at each. The background is a dark purple space, with planets arranged in a grid-like pattern that matches the background colour. There are three layers of planet-grids, becoming more compressed as they move further into the background. What makes this part stand out is a larger black orb that bounces around the screen throughout this ball segment. As the black orb bounces off each side of the borders, the area in which the orb bounced will create small, cubic cracks. It will repeat eight times until the end of the ball segment. After the player speeds up near the end of the ball part, they will enter a cube part at double speed and be bounced off a pair of pink jump pads. After this, the player must hit a yellow and red orb; when hit, it will begin to follow and bounce around the player. The player will eventually hit a green orb, which in turn activates it to start behaving like the red and yellow orbs from earlier. Afterwards, the player speeds up to triple speed, then quadruple speed, before transitioning to the next part. Throughout the entire second half of this section, the black orb from earlier will fly away to a farther back area of the screen, and then proceed to grow extremely massive before this part ends.
- 79-86% (knobbelboy + Empsea + Knots + Djoxy): After a quick flash, the player becomes a mini-ball at double speed. As a mini-ball, they must correctly time three black orb hits through tight gaps while changing gravity after hitting each black orb. In addition, there are toggle orbs that the player must hit after each black orb to switch the portal types between yellow and blue. The gravity portals that appear at the start of this part are randomised; the correct order is yellow, blue, and yellow again. Thus, the player must activate these toggle orbs accordingly. Of course, with this randomiser in place, it is entirely possible to have to hit all three toggle orbs, or not hit any of them at all. The structures and sawblades that appear at the beginning here are the same ones used previously. After passing the randomised gravity portals, the player passes by a gigantic yellow orb with many objects moving around it. It includes a line of green orbs, numerous structures of the previous block design, a new design, a cube portal, and a few sawblades. The player must navigate this massive yellow orb while switching to a cube and changing gravity a few times to ensure they end up at triple speed. At this point, there are many clusters of block designs, gears, and unclickable orbs surrounded by bubbles and larger blue structures. These orbs occasionally expand and shrink back really quickly for less than half a second. As far as gameplay goes, the player must hit a blue orb hanging over a red orb before timing two sets of spider orbs that lead to pink pads with red orbs. These gaps are much tighter and require much more precision. Obstacles include blocks and slabs with spikes on them raised by thin poles. After hitting the second set of these orbs, the player must hit two more spider orbs that lead to blue pads before returning to normal size. After this, they must either hit or avoid a toggle orb, depending on what type of portal is directly after the blue orb. If it is blue, they must click the toggle orb beforehand; otherwise, if it is yellow, the player can ignore it. Afterwards, the player must hit a pink orb before hitting a large yellow orb in the shape of the letter 'O'. Then they must hit a blue orb shaped like the letter 'R', a pink orb shaped like the letter 'B', a red orb shaped like the letter 'I', and then land a green orb shaped like the letter 'T' consecutively. All five of these orbs spell the level's name—'ORBIT', while behind the word is a larger green orb with yellow orbs orbiting it. Finally, the player speeds up to quadruple speed and lands in a gravity portal also controlled by a toggle orb. The portal must be blue to proceed, so that the blue orb inside it can be used to reach the green orb above it. After hitting the green orb, the penultimate part begins.
- 86-99% (Wespdx + MindCap + Knots + Djoxy): The penultimate part begins with multiple gigantic orbs flying through the screen, most with smaller orbs orbiting around them. In addition, numerous flying structures and gears are present, some lasting for less than a second. The order of main orbs plays out like this: a yellow orb with blue orbs diagonally orbiting it, a red orb with black orbs vertically orbiting it, a blue orb with red orbs vertically orbiting it, a green orb with two sets of black orbs diagonally orbiting it, a pink orb with green orbs vertically orbiting it, a blue orb with yellow orbs diagonally orbiting it, and a green dash orb with pink orbs horizontally orbiting it. The player must use this set of orbs to navigate through the correct path while avoiding flying structures and falling off the screen. Meanwhile, in the background, there are other unclickable orbs that serve only as decorations. These include: a purple dash orb, a spider orb, a pink orb with blue orbs horizontally orbiting it, a yellow orb with red orbs horizontally orbiting it, and a red orb with two sets of yellow and pink orbs diagonally orbiting around it. Once the player passes the large green dash orb, the black orb from earlier shrinks back down to how it was before, and the player must use it to click to the sync of the song's main melody while changing gravity from the use of portals that swiftly appear from behind the black orb. As the player repeatedly hits the black orb, a blue orb descends from the top of the screen to follow them, which they must avoid. The background is a large, disc-like, blue-purple vortex with many structures and orbs orbiting it counterclockwise. On the final yellow gravity portal, the player must hit the blue orb that has been following them to enter a blue teleport portal that swoops up from behind the black orb. Following that, the disc-vortex is sucked into the black orb as a transition starts up to sync with the song, in which the black orb from before appears again, grows bigger, and eight strikelines of blue, red, pink, spider, toggle, red, green, and teleport orbs quickly sprout out of it. The camera zooms out to make room for the player, who is lined up on the row of blue orbs. They must hit one of the blue orbs to be in time with the song, as they angle down to hit one of the teleport orbs in time with the song, to enter the ball pit. All teleport orbs will transfer the player to the ball pit, but only one of them will allow them to complete the level.
- 99-100% Ball Pit (HDanke): Over the next minute or so, a black screen will slowly fill with orbs of various sizes and types. Notably, three black toggle orbs will fall. If the player clicked the wrong teleport orb at the end of the previous part, their cube will fall into the ball pit, replacing one of the toggle orbs, and be trapped there indefinitely, forcing a restart. If the correct orb is picked, the player's cube will not appear in the pit, and the level will be completed.

Trivia
[edit | edit source]- ORBIT was rated on 10 February 2026, less than a day after its verification, and became the first classic Extreme Demon level to receive a Mythic rating.[12]
- ORBIT was placed at #5 on the Demonlist on 10 March 2026, above Nullscapes and below Tidal Wave.
- This addition pushed Nullscapes out of the Top 5, Subsuming Vortex out of the Top 10, Acheron out of the Top 15, Tunnel of Despair out of the Top 20, LIMBO out of the Top 50, Tartarus into the Extended List after six years, and Crimson Planet into the Legacy List after nearly seven years.
- This change makes ORBIT the second MindCap level in a row to push two former Top 1 levels into the Extended and Legacy Lists, following Every End's placement, which pushed Zodiac into the Extended List and Bloodlust into the Legacy List.
- MindCap had always planned to have the best player verify ORBIT. He initially intended to have the level be verified by spaceuk, the 'best player' at the time.[13] However, spaceuk would be exposed for being a hacker; hence, the verification was passed to Zoink.
- Zoink once found a secret way in ORBIT, which completely broke the level, but did not result in completing it.[14]
- Zoink said that after verifying ORBIT, he will upload another version with its difficulty as an easy Extreme Demon.[15]
- There were a few parts that have been changed.
- SmitN's decoration for Pennutoh's part was originally different, but it was presumably changed to accommodate Update 2.2 features.
- iKrazo's second gameplay segment originally had a different ending, also decorated like the rest of the part, though it was removed to transition to Djoxy's first part.
- Don had a much longer part, but the first half was replaced by Djoxy to accommodate Update 2.2 features.
- Before Don's first half of gameplay was replaced, the part was originally decorated by DavJT. However, this decoration was presumably removed to make room for ivyteal's decoration before this gameplay was replaced entirely by Djoxy.
- Whippie37's decoration for Don's second half of gameplay was also originally different, but it was upgraded in the final version.
- Voltex's decoration for PegasusZ's first part was reworked twice. The first time, it was updated by MindCap's request, and the second time, it was updated by Djoxy.
- Xolarzz's decoration for PegasusZ's second part was replaced by Expa and Classic10.
- HugoLA's decoration was also slightly different, though it was later reworked.
- KiwiPenguin originally decorated ZrKiphal's second gameplay segment, but it was replaced by Empsea's decoration instead.
- SrGuillester had a part, but it was replaced by knobbelboy also to accommodate Update 2.2 features, especially the spider orb. The latter's gameplay was later reworked by Djoxy while retaining the same ideas.
- Wespdx's part had different gameplay, but it was revamped while relatively keeping the same idea.
- Before Wespdx's original gameplay was removed, the part was originally decorated by AudieoVisual and Ballistic. However, it was replaced by Djoxy's second part to make room for the ball pit ending.
- The layout version included a recreation of the ORBIT spearmint gum made by CuLuC at the end of the level, but it was scrapped in the final version.
- Currently, ORBIT is the only classic Extreme Demon to have a Mythic rating and the hardest level to have a rating higher than Epic.
- On 1 April 2026, MindCap uploaded the showcase of an 'easier' version of ORBIT on his YouTube channel, which, as a part of April Fools' Day, turned out to be an Electroman Adventures-themed joke level.[16]
Notes
[edit | edit source]- ↑ Although ORBIT's length is calculated as 2m 42s, the actual length of ORBIT without the ball pit is about 2m 17s. With the ball pit, a successful attempt would take about 1-1.5 more minutes. Getting trapped in the ball pit would make the length infinite.
