unknown is a upcoming 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration hosted by DrCuber and set to be verified by kywy. The level received a decoration update on June 11, 2022. It is a somewhat short grayscale Extreme Demon decorated in the design style with a dark and mysterious atmosphere. The level's gameplay features narrow straight-flying segments and extremely tight wave sections, as well as generally difficult timings. The level is expected to place in the Top 3 of the Geometry Dash Demonlist when verified and rated, with some considering the level to be Top 4 in difficulty. kywy currently has 95% on the old version.

The old original version of unknown, which had 1.9-styled decoration, was created by Relayne and muriday and released on June 9, 2021. The redecoration update, hosted by DrCuber, updated the level's decoration and made slight gameplay changes to improve its chances of being rated once it is verified and released. However, the old decoration of the level will be accessible through the level's Low Detail Mode.

Gameplay

Note: Relayne created all of the gameplay from 0-52% and muriday created all the gameplay from 53-100%.

• 53-60% (NineDice): NineDice's part is a double-speed ball section where the player must carefully go through gaps in spikes and hit jump orbs. Structures in this part flash between normal design and hand-drawn line art design decoration.
• 61-66% (GD Iris): GD Iris' part in the level is a tight normal-speed mini wave section. Due to the decoration being very difficult to see, the path that the player should take is marked with bright white spike-like objects.

• The old version of the level contains 13,028 objects.
• The level is 42s in length.
  • If placed at #1 on the Geometry Dash Demonlist, unknown would become the shortest Top 1 Extreme Demon in the game's history, as it is shorter than Sakupen Hell.
• The former replacement song for the level was Retro Dancer by Darule, which has a Newgrounds ID of 1244. This replacement song is still used in the released old version but will not be used in the new version once it is released.
