Template:Infobox Level Codependence is a 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level created by TCTeam, originally verified by Kapinapi and ViralDl[1] and verified solo by Pukklez on 4 June 2023.[2] It is a two-player level in which each icon completes the equivalent of an Insane Demon to ExtremeDemon. Codependence initially placed at #8 on the Demonlist, and is currently considered the most difficult two-player level in the game.

History

Template:Stub/Section

With freedom granted by TCTeam; Kapinapi and ViralDL applied some nerfs before the level's verification to make it more playable.[1]

Many people initially thought the level was impossible to beat by a single player. In April 2022, a player named Pukklez began to attempt a solo verification of Codependence. On 4 June 2023, almost three years after Codependence's initial verification, the level was verified solo by Pukklez after 165,000 attempts.[2] Pukklez had used the W and Up Arrow keys for two-player control, earlier mentioned.

Gameplay

Pre-duals

  • 0-8%: (Konsi): The level starts with a sync-based cube section at half-speed with simple orb timings (also with toggle orbs) and sudden size changes after a short ball section at normal speed (later at double-speed). The player transitions into a sync-based mini-robot at triple-speed followed by a wave spam section at quadruple-speed before the player gets thrown into the infamous duals; the wave spam also consists of a text message in 'Konsi' as the creator of this part.

First duals (8-45%)

Gameplay Part Player One Player Two
8-20% (Zent + Hko + Arceus + AutumnLotus) The first player transitions into a mini-robot at triple-speed before being normal-sized and entering a short mini-wave segment, after which the first player goes back into a mini-robot followed by a short mini-ball section, then a simple mini-spider segment followed by a straight-fly section, and then into a ball section followed by a timing-based UFO with gravity changes and a dash orb. There are only two segments at the bottom portion of this part; the second player enters into a mini-cube with orb timings and various dash orbs followed by a mini-robot also having orb timings.
20-32% (Cotchy + Delta + Carloz) After a short mini-cube section, the first player goes into a mini-robot, then into a mini-cube again and then into a mini-robot again. The first player transitions into a simple mini-spider section; later, the first player returns to the mini-cube and the mini-robot for a moment before a mini-UFO with simple orb timings. After the continuation of the mini-robot, the second player proceeds into a wave before going mini-sized and returning to the mini-robot for a brief moment. The second player transitions into a cube where they hit the ceiling; after a short mini-ball and mini-cube section, the second player enters into a mini-robot followed by an auto-mini-ship section; after a short timing-based UFO, a ball section with a size change and a teleport spam section is also included; after a short auto-mini-cube, the second player enters into a mini-ship with few size changes and a gravity change, then into an auto-mini-cube after the short mini-cube and mini-ball sections and then a mini-ship straight-fly at the end.
32-43% (Licen + CesDroid + StarkyTheSalad + ViralDL) After a short cube section and a straight-fly, the first player enters into a robot followed by a wave spam, then into a short mini-cube and wave, a short timing-based UFO, and an auto-mini-ship section followed by a timing-based robot. Next, the first player transitions into a ball and a timing-based cube, followed by a ship segment, also timing-based; after this, a fast-paced ball section and an upside-down straight-fly are also included. The second player transitions into a timing-based UFO followed by a wave spam section with a size change; after a short mini-robot, the second player proceeds into a fast-paced mini-ball followed by short mini-ship and mini-cube sections; the second player returns to the mini-ship and mini-cube sections later on. Next, the second player goes into a timing-based mini-robot followed by a timing-based mini-ball, a simple mini-cube and a mini-ship straight-fly segment with size changes.
  • 43-45% (hadeon): This section only features a simple mini-cube at normal speed with two jumps as a break before the second row of duals.

Second duals (45-78%)

Gameplay Part Player One Player Two
45-56% (GaidenHertuny + Isane + Xyl) After a short mini-robot, the first player enters into a fast-paced mini-wave at triple-speed followed by a mini-UFO consisting of short spam while the rest is timing-based and a ship section with constant size changes and some gravity changes; then, the first player transitions into a fast-paced mini-wave, the mini-wave segments contain fast-paced clicking while the normal wave consists of a spam section; after a short ship section, the first player goes into a cube with fast-paced orb timings followed by a mini-wave and a mini-cube with two dash orbs in which the player hits the ceiling. After a short mini-robot, the second player transitions into a mini-cube after the two blue pads; this section consists of two pink orbs in small blocks at the end, followed by a fast-paced CPS consistency wave segment. The second player then goes into a timing-based mini-UFO with gravity changes after a yellow pad; after a short mini-cube section, the second player enters into a simple mini-ball section, a ship segment consisting of manoeuvring through obstacles followed by a mini-robot and a mini-cube.
56-69% (Jhreen + para + Xaren + Artos) The rest of the level consists of sudden speed changes; after a short mini-spider, the first player proceeds into a cube with many game mode changes in a mini-ball, a mini-cube with sudden size changes, a mini-ball again before returning into the mini-cube, a mini-UFO, a mini-cube again before returning into the mini-UFO, a short wave spam, a mini-ball, an auto-mini-cube with size changes, a mini-ship straight-fly, an auto-mini-cube again, a fast-paced mini-UFO, a mini-cube with a dash orb, a mini-robot and a mini-cube with black orb hits above pink pads; the top portion from this part consists of fast-paced timings, however. The rest of the level consists of sudden speed changes; the second player transitions into a mini-robot, a mini-ship, a mini-UFO, a wave and another mini-ship; the first three segments are timing-based and a total of eight dash orb hits in which the player hits the ceilings and platforms are also included; the second mini-ship on this part consists of manoeuvring through obstacles while the normal sized ship is a straight-fly.
69-77% (Yuki + Keyblade + GeometryTom) The first player enters into a mini-cube with a size change before the straight-fly with a gravity change at the centre; after a fast-paced wave spam segment, the first player returns to the cube being normal sized, a short mini-ball and a mini-cube with a dash orb in which the player hits the ground at the beginning; after that, the first player transitions into a timing-based UFO, an upside-down mini-ship straight-fly, a mini-wave after a short mini-cube, and the first player returns to the mini-cube being timing based. After a short cube, the second player enters a robot section followed by a ball for a short period before an auto-ship section; after this, the second player goes into a spider section followed by a mini-ship straight-fly before the green orb as the rest of the mini-ship section consists of manoeuvring through obstacles; after that, a wave spam section and a simple ship segment were also included on this part.
  • 77-78%: This section is only an auto part with a pink pad before the third and final row of duals.

Third and final duals (78-100%)

Gameplay Part Player One Player Two
78-88% (Woomy + Astion + Pingui + Cultrix) Afterwards, the first player faces a mini-cube segment with over 20 transition changes in a mini-ball, a mini-cube, a mini-UFO, a mini-cube, a straight-fly, a mini-ball, a mini-cube, a mini-wave, a mini-ball, a mini-robot, a mini-ship, a mini-cube with two red orbs in the platforms, a wave, a mini-robot, a mini-cube, another straight-fly, a mini-robot, a mini-ball, a mini-cube, a mini-wave, a mini-ship and a mini-cube at the end; the entire gameplay segment is timing-based and has various gravity changes. Afterwards, the second player enters a mini-robot segment with over ten transition changes in a mini-spider, mini-robot, mini-UFO, an upside-down straight-fly, another mini-UFO, a wave, a UFO, a straight-fly with a yellow orb, mini-ball, mini-robot, a UFO, a mini-cube with a dash orb, a mini-ship and a mini-ball with a dash orb and sudden size changes at the end; all UFO parts from the bottom portion of this part are spam sections and the entire gameplay segment is timing-based.
88-96% (Eridani + Brittank88) This part is unique compared to other parts; the first player proceeds into a slow timing-based mini-cube transition followed by a fast-paced mini-ball; after this, the level speeds up at quadruple-speed as the first player goes into a short fast-paced mini-spider followed by a fast-paced wave section; the wave section also includes an inclined wave spam segment followed by a mini-ship straight-fly along with the second player. This part is unique compared to other parts; the second player enters into a timing-based UFO; the rest of the UFO transition consists of fast-paced timings, including a pink dash orb in which the player hits the ground, gravity changes and turns mini-sized for the rest of the part; after a quadruple-speed change, a spam based segment was also included; after a short mini-cube section, the second player returns to the mini-UFO with two last blue orbs at the end; after the UFO part (that also consists of few teleports), the second player goes into an upside down mini-ship straight-fly along with the first player.

Note: In Eridani and Brittank88's part, there is a text message saying 'rip skele :(', referring to GDSkele being removed from the mega-collaboration.

  • 96-100% (floppy + Yoonsrdynamix): The player transitions into a short cube, a short UFO with a gravity change, a robot with sloped jumps, an auto-cube transition, a ship part with gravity and speed changes up to normal speed and a cube with a triple spike jump before the level ends.
