Whizkid05

Whizkid05 is a Scottish player. He is often considered the most all-rounded player in Geometry Dash, known for his many unconventional skill sets, most notably his consistently high CPS, including on levels such as the unnerfed Grains of Sand,[1] Checked Steam[2] and Silent poltergeist.[3] He also excels at 2-player levels, having beaten Codependence in nine days,[4] and demonstrates exceptional memorisation skills, being the first to complete The Art of the Blade without pausing.[5] He is also skilled at platformer levels, beating former Top 1s and other hard levels such as Null, CONVOLUTION, CaveofTheScarletSky, Estufa, dish rags (deathless), Nullspace, and fake sunrise. He is widely considered one of the best spam challenge players, and he ranks in the Top 25 on the Spam Challenge Leaderboard List.

Whizkid05 verified Menace as his second-hardest verification project.[6] and, more recently, Anathema, the sequel to Renevant, which is his current hardest Demon.[7] Besides fully completing levels, Whizkid05 goes out of his way to play and get notable runs of very difficult levels, such as his 24-100% on BOOBAWAMBA, 83% and 17-100% on Nullscapes, and 58% and 55-100% runs on Silent Club Plus.

History

[edit | edit source]

Early history

[edit | edit source]

Whizkid05 created his YouTube channel on 17 December 2015, but did not upload any videos until five years later. He uploaded his first Geometry Dash-related video on 21 September 2020. In the video, he achieved a 34-62% run on Cold Sweat on his iPhone SE.[8] His next video was uploaded on 8 March 2021, in which he verified a very difficult wave spam challenge, called 'Look ma I can spam'.[9] A few videos following this, he uploaded a video of his completion of Misty Mountains on 31 October, his first ever Extreme Demon.[10]

Beginning of career

[edit | edit source]

On 28 January 2022, Whizkid05 beat his first List Demon on the Demonlist, Black Blizzard, spending 12,181 attempts and failing at 98% in the level.[11] His next achievement was Bloodbath, which he completed after 21,958 attempts and his furthest fail at 97% on 1 March.[12]

After beating Bloodbath, Whizkid05 would complete RGB on 21 April 2022, after 23,141 attempts and a fail at 92%.[13] On 14 May, he beat Blade of Justice after 14,414 attempts and a 94% fail,[14] then on 16 June, Quantum Processing after 17,293 attempts and 89% fail,[15] on 25 July, Sunset Sandstorm after 8,789 attempts and 95% death,[16] and Delta Interface after 12,854 attempts and furthest fail at 89% on 22 August.[17]

On 24 October 2022, Whizkid05 completed Yatagarasu, making it his hardest after 17,971 attempts.[18]

On 19 April 2023, Whizkid05 got a 43% record and a 43-100% run on an upcoming Top 1 remake of Silent Club, called Silent Club Plus, which he was set to verify.[19] The version of the level he was playing was not decorated yet. On 16 September 2024, he uploaded a showcase of the already fully decorated level, stating that he would start verifying it sometime in 2025.[20] He has currently postponed the project in favour of prioritising other levels, but he still intends to finish it off eventually.

The rise

[edit | edit source]

On 24 July 2023, Whizkid05 beat Kenos after 18,957 attempts as his new hardest.[21] On 10 August, he completed Zodiac as his next hardest after 13,343 attempts.[22] Thirteen days later, he would beat The Golden as another hardest after 21,779 attempts.[23]

On 8 May 2024, Whizkid05 became the first pauseless victor of The Art of the Blade, which has a randomised memory maze at 62%.[24]

On 25 May 2024, Whizkid05 beat Codependence, becoming its third solo victor.[4] On 14 July, he verified Menace.[6] On 20 November, he verified Anathema, which became his current hardest.[7] On 29 January 2025, Whizkid05 verified the former-impossible level Silent poltergeist.[3] Sometime before Silent poltergeist, he also beat another Top 1 platformer level, CONVOLUTION.[25] On 5 May, he got 42% on BOOBAWAMBA,[26] on 18 May 2025, 54%,[27] and on 21 May, 24-100%.[28] He completed Sakupen Circles on 24 July.[29] On 31 July, he beat the, at the time, Top 1 platformer level, Null.[30]

On 14 September 2025, Whizkid05 uploaded his first verification progress video on Silent Club Plus, as he had foreshadowed a year earlier. In said video, he got runs of 58% and 55-100%.[31] On 1 October 2025, he began playing Nullscapes. During this time, he had gotten runs of 59% and 17-100%, both achieved on 8 January 2026.

On 10 October 2025, Whizkid05 announced the release of a project called 'Unrated Appreciation'. He stated that he spent all of 2025 completing over 50 unrated Extreme Demons. The video was released in December 2025.[32]

Recent achievements

[edit | edit source]

On 19 February 2026, Whizkid05 verified cognitohazard, a level made for MatMart's 'GD Civilization 2' event.[33] On 3 March 2026, he became the first deathless victor of the platformer Extreme Demon dish rags.[34] On 9 March 2026, he achieved 83% on Nullscapes, his newest, hardest project.[35] On 31 March, he beat the former unrated platformer level Nullspace.[36] On 14 May, he uploaded a video showcasing his completions of four 'wacky' platformer levels: Rabbit Hole, Pandora, vortex, and MT UBER.[37] On 31 May, he beat the former unrated level ULTRA dimension.[38]

On 30 June 2026, Whizkid05 uploaded three completion videos of Wavterminal,[39] fake sunrise, his new hardest platformer level,[40] and Garden.[41] On 9 July, he beat ROCKBOTTOM, which he had initially planned to beat in June for 'Unrated Appreciation' before it was rated, so he postponed it.[42] He also became the first player to beat Double Dynamo solo on 23 July.[43] After that, he would beat several other levels, such as Losing Your Mind,[44] Starlight Summit,[45] the impossible kid,[46] MINUSdry,[47] and ANGEL ON A SATELLITE.[48]

Afterwards, Whizkid05 focused on beating Acheron, achieving 49% on 10 September.[49] He improved his best to 85% on 20 September and getting a 96% fail on 26 September.[50][51]
