Description
[edit | edit source]- 0-4% (CastriX): The Yandere begins with a drumroll of the song and the screen flashing white and grey until it ends at 1%. The gameplay begins with a pink pad as a half-speed mini-cube, followed by five somewhat easy timings before switching to a normal-sized cube with three types of difficult orb timings. The player then must quickly jump and hit two blue orbs before holding down another blue orb. If the player holds down the blue orb, they jump early into a red orb that must be hit late. The part ends with an early jump over a spike (the spike is not there in the Low Detail Mode) into a dash orb that stops with an S block into Partition's part.
- 4-7% (Partition): Partition's part begins with a fairly tight ball section that leads into a short straight-flying section into a relatively easy spider. The part ends with a slightly more difficult straight-flying section that leads into DavJT's part.
- 7-10% (DavJT): DavJT's part begins with a half-speed cube section that can be somewhat tight and then leads into a fairly tight ball section before going into a fairly simple ship section. The part ends with a difficult, timed mini-cube jump, but it can be easily timed because it syncs perfectly with the song.
- 10-14% (Danzmen): This part is arguably the easiest part of the level. It begins with a mini-cube and two easy jumps, then a yellow orb that the player must hit late before hitting two blue orbs and jumping early (but not too early) into a ship. The ship is fairly short and leads into an easy spider section. Danzmen's part ends with a short UFO.
- 14-19% (Alderite): Alderite's part starts with a somewhat difficult cube jump at quadruple speed and a ship section which can be tricky. There is a slightly tight ball section, with two small robot jumps, as well as a red orb at the end of the robot. Next is a UFO section with two easy timings and four fast clicks in gravity portals. Next is a cube where the player must jump after exiting the UFO, hit a blue orb late, and then jump into a ship. This ship is very short, and the player must hit an orb in a portal at the end, which leads to Dorami's part.
- 19-24% (Dorami): Dorami's part begins with a fast-paced quadruple-speed spider, then two quick orbs as a cube and a two-click dual-ship straight-flying section. The player then clicks along to the music for three clicks in a dual-cube. The player must then hold a dash orb to reach a tight blue orb timing as a ball. Next, the player must ensure they do not flip gravity as a ball before entering the UFO and clicking twice. There are a few tight green orbs and a dash orb before finishing Dorami's part and starting MrLorenzo's part.
- 24-30% (MrLorenzo): This part begins with a blue orb in a yellow gravity portal, which the player can hold down with timing until they hit a blue orb and a green orb fairly quickly together. There is a black orb spam that is easy to click on four times to the song. There is a ball section with a few orb timings and a straight-flying section before entering a UFO. The UFO starts with a few tight timings until the player reaches the gravity portals, where they must avoid clicking at all until the black orb afterwards. The player can hold after hitting the black orb to hit a blue orb and reach JonathanGD's part.
- 30-36% (JonathanGD): This part starts at the drop of the song and is arguably the hardest part of the level. It begins with a half-speed cube with a quick black orb timing, then going at quadruple speed, jumping into another orb and a ball at normal speed. The player then must time one click and two fast clicks to hit a black orb in the ball at quadruple speed. There is a one-two-click straight-fly into a two-click UFO and some timed ship orbs that sync with the music. A tight yellow orb timing in a cube leads into a tight spider section and another brief straight-flying section. Then, there is a wave section with three normal-sized wave clicks and a mini-wave where the player must hold a blue orb after hitting two gravity portals at quadruple speed. This part ends by holding the last dash orb as a mini-cube.
- 36-41% (Elisione): This part is fairly easy. It starts with a green and a pink orb that the player must hit, and a UFO that syncs with the song. There are two dash orb timings in the cube after it, which can be tricky. There is a pink dash orb with black orbs on either side leading into a ship, meaning this timing may throw some players off. There is a fairly simple ship section before holding a dash orb into a wave that ends with another dash orb before Jghost's part.
- 41-47% (Jghost): This part begins with a fairly tight triple-speed mini-wave and a tight normal-sized wave into a ship. There is a UFO after this with some relatively easy jumps that are easily sight-readable, and a ball with a black orb before a ship with a dash orb leading into RoiMousti's part. This part contains a subtly hidden change to the boss fight. If the player hits the custom orb, which can be difficult to time, the animal skeleton will wear sunglasses instead of having black eyes with pink pupils.
- 47-52% (RoiMousti): RoiMousti's part begins with four tight cube timings and a ball which the player can jump before hitting the portal to make it slightly easier. There is a single spider click, followed by two mini-wave clicks. Next is a mini-robot and two extremely tight dash orb timings as a normal-sized cube. The first dash orb is a frame-perfect micro-click. There is a somewhat difficult ship before Master X's part.
- 52-57% (Master X): This part is largely themed around Yandere Simulator. It starts with a one or two-click straight-fly into a two-click spider and three UFO timings. Then there is a ship section into a mini-wave spam. Next is a dual that can be difficult, but it mostly syncs with the song. There is a controlled spam UFO section and a mini-wave spam again before BranSilver's part. If the player dies in this part, Ayano Aishi, the protagonist of Yandere Simulator, appears on the right side of the screen, and the words 'Senpai is only mine. MINE!' show up as well. The player can also die in this part if they stop spamming after Master X's logo pops up.
- 57-63% (BranSilver): BranSilver's part starts with a near-blind tight cube jump into four quick ball timings. Next is a double-ship, which is fairly easy to pass. Next is a cube with a few fast jumps and a dash orb the player must hold down for the entire platform. A jump with a blue orb that the player must avoid hitting leads into a wave section before a black orb throws them onto a ramp that shows one half of a girl being peaceful and the other being shrouded with blood and anger, before it leads into Mulpan's part.
- 63-69% (Mulpan): Mulpan's part starts with a few orbs in a ship that can be difficult to learn at first. Afterwards, there is a UFO with completely orb gameplay. Next is a very tight ball with very tight orb timings that can be quite inconsistent at times. A robot with two dash orbs and two green orbs is next, with the player requiring an early micro-click on all four of them. Lastly, a tight spider section ends with a green orb, transitioning into Cirtrax's part.
- 69-75% (Cirtrax): Cirtrax's part begins with a straight-fly segment with a green orb, then a wave the player can hold in, as the top of the segment has D blocks. This section leads to a fairly tight black orb timing in a ball, where the player must click quickly to pass it. Afterwards, there is a single pink orb in a UFO, some very tight cube orbs and jumps, and then a very tight spider section before Mazl's part.
- 75-80% (Mazl): Mazl's part starts with three timed black orbs, although the player can usually skip the third and hold on to the second. Then, the player must hit a red orb to take them into a fairly tight ship section. After the ship, there is a fairly easy ball with two green orbs. Then, there is a somewhat tight robot with a green and black orb and one last jump before a cube with two red orb timings and a ship before the next part.
- 80-86% (Spectex + FarDreamer + GdTheTactiq): The hardest part of the level, Spectex, FarDreamer and GdTheTactiq's part starts with three very tight blue orbs and an extremely tight UFO jump. Afterwards, the player enters a dual where they must time three clicks to reach a ship, then click twice. There is a short and tight ship section before an extremely tight and difficult wave at the end of the section. The wave syncs well, but it is still very difficult. The part concludes with two dash orbs leading into YunHaSeu14's part.
- 86-90% (YunHaSeu14): YunHaSeu14's part starts in a UFO and then changes to a quadruple-speed ship where the player must hold to fly down, where they change to a mini-ball. There is a short mini-ball section with some orbs and timings before Alkali and OSIRIS' part.
- 90-100% (Alkali + OSIRIS): This part boasts fairly difficult orb timings and many dash orbs. The player can hold down in some parts, but others have very tight timings. After the cube timings, there is a ship section with a few orb timings, followed by a straight-flying section leading to a tight jump into a yellow orb.

[edit | edit source]- The Yandere was placed at #10 on the Demonlist on 20 April 2019, above Devil Vortex and below Erebus.
- This addition pushed The Hell Zone into the Extended List and AcropoliX into the Legacy List.
- The Yandere was later swapped with Plasma Pulse Finale, pushing the latter out of the Top 15 on 2 April 2020.
- This addition pushed The Hell Zone into the Extended List and AcropoliX into the Legacy List.
- Yandere (ヤンデレ) is a term for a person who is initially loving and caring to someone they like a lot until their romantic love, admiration, and devotion become feisty and mentally destructive in nature through overprotection, violence, brutality, or a combination of the three.
- The Low Detail Mode on The Yandere is slightly easier than without Low Detail Mode, as a spike at the end of CastriX's part is removed.
- The end art had blood slowly falling, covering the glitching girl.
- The song for The Yandere became unavailable after Acid-Notation deleted his Newgrounds account; however, RobTop later reuploaded most of Acid-Notation's music, hosted on his own server instead of Newgrounds.
- The placement of ORDINARY on 21 August 2024 pushed The Yandere into the Legacy List of the Demonlist.
