delightful climb is a 2.2 Extreme Demon platformer level by JuNiOr202, verified by GToast on 16 February 2025.[1] The level is inspired by videos from the YouTube channel under the handle @Lw8B00FF.[2] It went infamously unrated for over a year before suddenly getting rated on 1 April 2026.
It was the Top 1 rated platformer Demon between 1 April 2026 and 31 May 2026, succeeding Diamonds For Dashers and preceding Nautical NIghtmares as the Top 1 rated platformer Demon.
History
[edit | edit source]It is unknown when delightful climb was created, because, at first, GToast kept this verification as secret. The earliest video mentioning it was GToast's 93% progress, published on 21 January 2025.[3]
After that, on 16 February 2025, GToast verified delightful climb.
delightful climb was placed at the #1 spot on The Platformer List (TPL), which includes both rated and unrated levels, on 1 March 2025, dethroning CONVOLUTION as the hardest TPL platformer level.
delightful climb was rated a year later on 1 April 2026, 409 days after its verification, dethroning Diamonds For Dashers from being Top 1 level on the Pemonlist, which ranks exclusively rated levels.
Description
[edit | edit source]delightful climb consists of five layers, going from 'Layer V' to 'Layer I', with no checkpoints. Each layer has a different background, colour, and music. The black block structures begin disappearing when touching them, preventing the ability to stop, and there are flashy rainbow spikes that can be removed with Low Detail Mode. The level contains several tight turnarounds and spike gaps, with many 'chokepoints'.
