OMG ALIENS is a 2.1 Insane level by Danzmen, published on 1 February 2018. It is the second level of the Monster Gauntlet.
Description
[edit | edit source]- 0-20%: The level starts as a slow ship in a cave corridor filled with monsters, then transitions into a UFO.
- 20-31%: A wave section begins, with occasional 4x and 2x speed sections.
- 31-41%: The Danzmen logo shows as the cube section starts, filled with staircase-like structures.
- 41-49%: After becoming a slow ship once again, the Monster Gauntlet logo shows up in the transition. The words "go tbh" show up shortly after.
- 50-57%: A small ship section is placed between a cube section.
- 57-65%: The player now switches to the ball and spider gamemodes. In the coin route, the player goes through the ship and wave gamemodes instead, and returns to the normal path after a black transition.
- 65-83%: Gameplay is similar to the two previous sections, starting with a ship, a cube, a dual cube, and finally a single wave.
- 83-100%: The boss consists of two green aliens commanding a UFO in an open wave corridor. The level's logo is shown at the end.
User coins
[edit | edit source]OMG ALIENS has a single user coin.
- Immediately after the cube portal at 53%, the player must jump over a yellow jump pad, hitting a translucent gravity portal under a platform. Shortly after, at 56%, a very late click on the gravity orb is required to fall into a secret path below. Following the descent is a mini ship and wave section, with the coin at 64%. The player is teleported back to the main route at 66%.

[edit | edit source]- The level was ranked 5th place in the creator contest for the Monster Gauntlet, ahead of Shuriken and behind Monster Mischief.
- The boss fight includes visibly obscured dialogue between the two aliens:
- "Arnold, aim better"
- "Shut up, Barry"
- "Well you can't aim"
- "I said SHUT UP"
- "Well we can't kill him. Whose fault is that, Arnold?"
- "Barry when we get home I swear..."
