Red World
Red World is a 1.8/2.1 Extreme Demon collaboration level by saRy and Neptune, hack-verified and published by saRy. It is one of the first levels to use the dual-ball swing-copter game-mode. The level became impossible after Update 1.9 because a block at 2% was changed to a decoration. The level has been made into a rebirth version, decorated by Hinds, Findexi, and Viprin, and verified and published by Riot. Red World was impossible until 3 June 2021, when RobTop and Pauze, in a spree of fixing old levels that became impossible from later updates, made the 2% block solid again. The level was rated the same day.[1]
Description
[edit | edit source]Red World begins as a relatively simple ball-timing section, though it includes some tricky timings. It then shifts to a ship part that is not too difficult if the player knows where to go. Then the player must jump over a few triple-spikes and enter a UFO section, which is quite difficult and tight. They then enter a ship segment, which is not that difficult. After that, the player enters a dual-mini-ball sequence that functions like a swing-copter (pre-2.2 swing), with arrow spikes. Then the difficulty of the 'ball-copter' increases significantly as it grows to normal size. Afterwards, the player enters a tricky ship section that requires luck and memorization. The player enters another mini-ball-copter sequence, much more difficult. After that, the player enters what is considered the hardest part of the level, the end. It is a ship with difficult manoeuvring and straight-flying.
Gameplay
[edit | edit source]Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Red World is technically the oldest Extreme Demon.
- Red World is, if we consider only the ID of the level, the oldest level that is rated Extreme Demon due to the rated version of Silent Club—technically older—being a reupload by Luqualizer. As a result, Red World remains the oldest Extreme Demon by ID.
- Red World was nerfed from its original state.
- Lation, a content creator, suggested that the last ball-copter sequence in Red World may have been originally designed to play at normal speed rather than at half speed, based on the observation of how it synced with the ship portal's entrance at the end of the level.[2]
- Red World has several parody remakes of different colours other than red.
- Red World used to be the easiest classic Extreme Demon according to the All Rated Extreme Demons List (AREDL) ranking until 18 August 2026, when Rauchkammer was placed below Red World.
- There is an upcoming Top 10 remake of Red World called Infernis, hosted by silence and Aquix,[3] which itself is a super-buffed remake of Bette Rouge.[4]
Notable fails
- FinnStreams failed at 91% and 92% but was happy with both fails.
