The End is Here
The End is Here is a 2.2 Insane Demon level by Doggie, verified on 3 October 2025.[1] The level contains a unique dual gimmick at the beginning before dropping to a hard hellish section. The level has no real meaning, and Doggie says he intended it to be interpreted in different ways.[2]
History
[edit | edit source]The End is Here was first shown as a layout on Doggie's second channel.[3] He states he wanted to work on the full level, and he finally showcased it in mid-October.
Description
[edit | edit source]The End is Here is presented with a square screen and is vibrantly made with glow and decorations. It starts with a dual where the icons are both together, and the player must traverse fields, a house, a neighbourhood, and then the sky.
The level then drops to an asymmetrical dual with a chain attaching both icons through a corridor, with the player's colours as the main colour, before dropping into a single-player bright orange section with the second icon flying around. The player then encounters a hellish red wave that is hard to see before entering a robot section in a crumbling castle, culminating in a slam into the ground via a few spider orbs.
Gameplay
[edit | edit source]- 0-3%: The End is Here begins slowly with a cube sequence involving a few simple spike jumps, and the second player icon descends, then both icons fall, starting the dual.
- 3-6%: The gameplay of the dual consists of gameplay where the player must time jumps for both dual icons. One of them must grab a key to open the path.
- 6-11%: The lyrics begin as both icons change to a robot as the sky goes dark. The player must hit a series of orbs and gravity portals, which the robot timing counts on, before turning back into a cube, where both icons then go into a house.
- 11-14%: Both icons transition into a ball sequence, where one must grab a key and hit a black orb, breaking the breakable block, before timing some invisible platforms and pads.
- 14-17%: The player then turns into a mini-wave sequence, involving timings and some inputs before switching to normal size, where both icons go into a different path before returning together and going out a window.
- 17-21%: Next is a ship sequence that requires both icons to hit a black orb, then fly through some walls and sawblades, before flying into a bolt of lightning, with the lyrics saying '...a bolt of lightning...' at this part.
- 21-24%: The player returns to a cube and must hit a few orbs and jump on invisible platforms. After that, both icons land on a paper plane and must fly up to the next section.
- 24-30%: The scenery is gone, leaving a dark background with a moon. Now, both icons are chained together in a traditional dual sequence. Each icon takes turns hitting orbs and going through portals; then one turns into a ship and must fly and avoid any black orbs while controlling the cube that hits orbs.
- 30-35%: The player now enters a dual-UFO sequence, requiring them to hit orbs and switch places, before turning into a dual-swing and must control both going through a tight staircase and sawblades.
- 35-42%: The player then enters a robot sequence, requiring them to land on more platforms, while also sometimes falling off the level and teleporting to the opposite path, as they then go through a series of gravity portals.
- 42-49%: The player turns into a dual-ball, where they must hit a few orbs and, again, fall off the level to get teleported back. Then the player becomes a ship and must fly towards a glowing section.
- 49-55%: The player now becomes a single cube, with a chain flying behind them as their other icon flies around. The background is now yellow and orange. The player must hit a series of spider orbs, pink dash orbs, and black orbs; each input makes the background flash and expand as they travel into a ball portal, and their chain burns off.
- 55-61%: The player then must do more of the same with a few more spider orbs and dash orbs timed to the beat before holding dash orbs and doing a ball sequence, with the words 'The', 'End', 'Is', and 'Here' flashing to the lyrics.
- 61-67%: The player transforms into a swing and, once again, must do more of the same with spider orbs and dash orbs, with staircases now, and the words 'The end is here' flashing to the lyrics.
- 67-72%: Next, the player becomes a UFO. The pattern of orbs and pads is about the same sequence as the swing.
- 72-75%: The player returns to a cube and must jump on orbs and platforms, before hitting an orb with a fake-out portal.
- 75-89%: The screen runs red with a spinning blade in the background, as the player becomes a mini wave, now having to go with the pattern without hitting the ground or slopes, while being tricky to see, and also hitting a couple of dash orbs in a few scenes before heading to the next section.
- 89-93%: The player then enters a robot sequence. The walls and bricks crumble underneath the player as they hit more orbs and bounce on more platforms, with the screen flashing every few times. The player must hit a dash orb, which slowly brings them towards a cube.
- 93-100%: After they turn into a cube, the player must jump up a few more platforms before coming to a spider orb cluster. Hitting it three times launches the player upwards towards the end.
