As of Update 2.0, it is the last of the three official levels that are rated Demon so far. It can be unlocked after collecting 30 secret coins. Later in the small bug fix Update 2.01, Robtop made an update to Deadlocked as well, fixing the bug where you could miss the 3x speed portal at the second wave.

Deadlocked is the twentieth level of Geometry Dash and the third level with a Demon difficulty. 30 secret coins are required to unlock the level.

Description
Description
Deadlocked shows a variety of new map components. Most notable are the green jump rings which reverses the character's gravity and adds momentum. This is the equivalent of hitting the blue and yellow jump ring at the same time or hitting a yellow ring in a blue or yellow gravity portal. It also introduces teleportation portals. These portals instantly move the player from one point to the other, regarding the space between them. Teleportation portals also keep momentum. There are also moving blocks, which were introduced in the previous level. The most attractive part of the level is at the second UFO sequence, when monsters appear, shooting lasers, which is similar to the laser parts in the popular mobile game Jetpack Joyride.
Deadlocked introduces new level components like the green jump ring (which changes gravity with additional momentum as if a combination of the blue and yellow jump rings), teleportation portals (which teleport players to another location from a linked portal along the Y-axis), and keys/keyholes (which serve as a visual guide for touch-triggered triggers, however, green inverted-square triggers were used in Geometrical Dominator). The wave experiences the gravity portal effect for the first time, and a 'boss fight' segment occurs at 64%.
Secret Coins
*The first secret coin is unique compared to others, as it requires a key before it can be acquired. In the first ship sequence, a key is placed high up above the moving squares at 19%. Once successfully retrieved, it opens an area later in the level, in a cube sequence which allows the player to grab the coin at 43%. Failure to retrieve the key will keep this passage blocked and the player will be forced to take the normal route situated below it.
**However, you can brush past the key, and still be able to get the secret coin.
**A similar mechanic is used to get the first secret coin in Airborne Robots and Viking Arena. However, the key is located in a cube section.
*The second secret coin appears at 52% during the second Robot sequence. There will be a two-block wide pillar sticking out from the ground. Instead of flying to the top of the pillar, you must drop down and jump shortly after to collect the coin. To return to the normal path, you must jump on top of an invisible block. This is considered slightly easier than the normal path.
*The final secret coin appears exactly at two-thirds of the level (66%) During the second UFO sequence, there are monsters shooting lasers at the player. Before the first laser is fired, try to get close to the top. There will be a spinning blade; tap twice quickly or just tap once because you don't want to crash into the ceiling, wait a second and tap again and the coin will be acquired. If you do tap twice to start, get right in front of the laser and tap twice the millisecond before it is fired. Try to get down quickly as there will be another round of lasers fired shortly after.

Walkthrough
The level also utilizes a more advanced usage of triggers to create 'laser-shooting monsters', which are seen in the first normal-sized UFO segment at 64%. Anti-gravity is experienced for the first time with the wave, as shown in the second wave sequence.

*A cube sequence takes place from 0% to 2%, which contains two blue orbs.
*A mini wave transition sequence takes place from 2% to 3%.
*A cube sequence from 3% to 12%, involving basic jumping, and introduces the green orb and teleportation portals.
*A very-fast-speed wave sequence from 12% to 17%, where anti-gravity is first applied to the wave gamemode.
*A fast-speed mini ship sequence from 17% to 21%, there is a blue key above the fifth thwomp. The blue key leads to the first coin in the fourth cube sequence, starting at 42%.
*A fast-speed ball sequence from 21% to 24%, with fake red platforms that spawn a monster if touched.
*A fast-speed mini UFO sequence from 24% to 28%, requiring good timing and watching the gravity portals.
*A cube sequence from 28% to 32%, with the effects of the very-fast-speed portal from 30% to 32%, after the teleportation portal, click only every second orb. Timing the jump is crucial to reach the robot sequence.
*A robot sequence from 32% to 36%, with the effects of the fast-speed portal from 34% to 36%. Before the fast-speed portal, make a precise jump between the two spikes
*A mini ball sequence from 36% to 42%, with the effects of the slow portal from 36% to 37% and the effects of the fast-speed portal from 39% to 42%. Beware of the speed increase throughout this part.
*A cube sequence from 42% to 49%, with the effects of the mini portal from 45%. Collecting the blue key from the fifth thwomp from the mini ship sequence unlocks the path to the first coin. Click the second orb after the first portal of the cube sequence, then click the blue orbs except for the one before the second portal. After that, avoid the gravity pad.
*A fast-speed robot sequence from 49% to 56%. Jump over the gear, then choose to fall into a secret passage that leads to the second coin. Then onto the invisible block. Watch for the invisible spikes; make two precise jumps at this point.
*A fast-speed ship sequence from 56% to 64%, with the effect of the mini portal from 62% to 64%. Practice straight fly for this one. After the two portals in the ship sequence, make a sharp input to avoid getting hit by the spikes.
*A fast-speed UFO sequence from 64% to 72%. This sequence is a boss battle against six laser-shooting monsters. Avoid where they are facing. The third coin really needs a bit of practice to collect.
*A very-fast-speed dual wave sequence from 72% to 76%. This sequence is similar to the wave sequence from 12% to 17%.
*A slow-speed mini wave sequence from 76% to 79%. Just be careful of the walls.
*A fast-speed ship sequence from 79% to 87% with the effects of the mini portal at 82%. This section has many moving obstacles; be very careful around them.
*A slow-speed ball sequence from 87% to 89%. Click on every orb; there is no orb to avoid in this sequence.
*A fast-speed UFO sequence from 89% to 93%, with the effects of the very fast portal from 91% to 93%. The moving obstacles there are harder than the 'thwomps' encountered at the first mini ship sequence. Predict well, and then the next sequence will be easy.
*A cube sequence from 93% to 100%.

Trivia
Secret coins
*This is the first demon to contain a dual portal.
*The first secret coin is at 43% and collected as the cube; however, it uniquely requires a key before it can be acquired. In the first mini ship sequence, a key is placed high up above the moving thowomps at 19%. Once successfully retrieved, it opens an area at the 42% cube sequence, which allows the player to grab the coin. Failure to retrieve the key will keep this passage blocked, forcing the player to take the normal route below it.
**This is also the second level to contain a dual wave, the first being Blast Processing.
**If the player barely misses the key, the first secret coin path may still open, as the trigger that opens the path has a larger hitbox than the actual key collectible.
*Both of the icons obtained from this level have reference to super heroes (Iron Man, Wolverine).
*The second secret coin appears at 53% and is collected as the robot. There will be a two-block-wide pillar sticking out from the ground. Instead of jumping on top of the pillar, the player must drop down and jump shortly after to collect the coin. To return to the normal path, the player must jump onto a fading block. It is considered slightly easier than the normal path.
**Coincedentally, both of these superheros are Marvel superheros.
**The platform was originally three blocks wide, but it was changed in Update 2.01.
*This is the first and currently only official level to award 15 stars upon completion.
*The final secret coin appears at 66% and is collected as the UFO when there are monsters shooting lasers at the player. The player must get close to the top of the screen before the first laser is fired. Then, a spinning blade must be avoided, and the coin will be acquired.
*This level has the earliest size portal, appearing at 2%. It also has the earliest form portal, at 2% as well.
*If all three coins are collected, the player will be rewarded with an extra icon.
**It also has the shortest mini-size segment, with the first wave (mini) lasting only 0.75 seconds long.
*Deadlocked is the only official level that features all speed portals.
**Deadlocked is the first official level that uses the slow speed portal 3 times (used in the mini ball part, mini wave part and the last ball part).
*Deadlocked is the first official level to intentionally introduce the upside-down wave.
**However, in Blast Processing, after the first ball segment, the blue deactivation gravity portal on the wave may be skipped if you hold right before entering the portal, thus making the wave travel in anti-gravity. Also, there is a small chance at the end of the dual wave section at around 53%, that the anti-gravity copy of the wave will enter the blue dual deactivation before the real one. Thus, Blast Processing is technically the first level to have an anti-gravity wave.
**Also, it is possible to jump on the yellow pad en route the first secret coin in Geometrical Dominator, causing you to miss the blue pad. You will play the ship and the wave in antigravity.
***Both of these routes are detrimental, as it would be much harder to complete the cube segment after the wave segments. In Geometrical Dominator , this becomes impossible. However, the 2 errors in Blast Processing cancel each other out.
**Thus, Deadlocked is the third level that the upside-down wave is possible.
*The platforms in the first cube section seem to light up whenever the player "contacts" it, activated by "Pulse" triggers. However, if the cube passes it without landing on the platform, it will still light up because the triggers are not touch triggered.
*At the beginning of the first ball sequence, there are two blocks, one with a blue glow and a check-mark above it, and another with an orange glow and an X above it. These mark which platforms are safe and which are fake (a monster appears and crashes the ball if you try to land on it). This can be created if you place touch triggered moving monsters on the top of the map.
*Deadlocked has the shortest distance between the first and third secret coin of any official level, with only a 23% difference.
*This level has the second earliest third secret coin at 66% and its beaten by xStep at 59%.
**Oddly, this has the fifth latest first secret coin.
*Deadlocked is the second level to feature a triple speed portal. The first was Electrodynamix.
**It is also the first level to have multiple triple speed portals (four in total).
*This is the second level that does not have a coin in any of its ship sequences. The first was Electrodynamix .
**However, the key to access the first coin is collected in a ship sequence.
*This level, Viking Arena and Airborne Robots all have keys by a means of collecting a secret coin.
*This level also makes an interesting use of moving objects and monsters to create "enemies" in the second UFO part. The monsters appear to follow the player from in front, shooting "lasers" from their mouths that the player must avoid. This is similar to the lasers in the game Jetpack Joyride.
**Viking Arena does something similar to this at the final cube segment, however unlike Deadlocked the monsters are chasing you from behind and are not shooting lasers.
* It takes 1:40 to complete the level.
*This is one of the three levels that do not touch the ground after the beginning, the other two are Hexagon Force and Geometrical Dominator.
*This is the first level where the ground color only changes once. The ground stays black after the first wave sequence.
*This is the only level after Theory of Everything that does not contain purple rings.
*This level has the most portals as well as form changes in an official level.
**This level also uses every portal available except for the mirror portal.
*It is the first level to use the mini cube form since Clubstep.
**However, in Theory of Everything 2, it is possible to use a shortcut at 83% to become a mini cube. However, this will result in a crash.
*Deadlocked is the only level to feature a triple-speed wave and triple-speed UFO.
**This means every form has been explored in triple-speed in an official level except for the robot form.
*It is the first level to have multiple mini wave sections.
*It has 3 wave portals, the most out of any level, along with Theory of Everything 2 .
*This level and Geometrical Dominator are the only two levels to award robots when completed.
*This is the only level with invisible portals.
**The 6th mini and normal size portal, the 2nd UFO portal, and the 2nd triple-speed portal are all invisible.
***Strangely, these portals are all reached by teleporters.
*This level, Blast Processing and in most cases Electroman Adventures are the three non-meltdown levels that do we're not introduced in 1.0 to end off as form, manipulation and speed the exact same as the start.

Errors
Gameplay
Decorational Errors
reZj2Xbt05Q
*In the second cube section at around 6% to the bottom-left of the orange teleportation portal, the edge of a diagonal spike is missing.
*When you crash at the last green jump ring at the second cube sequence at 12%, you can see that the top areas to the left and right are unfilled.
*In the final ball segment at 88%, single swirls can be seen at the top and bottom of the level. But in the middle of the ball sequence at the top, two of these swirls can be seen overlapping each other. This may or may not be intended.
**One of the swirls was also replaced with a pad, although this was meant to kill the player, and hence the player must jump over it.

Structural Errors
Trivia
*At the first cube sequence at 1%, if you hit the second blue ring late, you can skip the yellow jump pad and jump up from the very edge of the platform and continue safely. However, this will require precise timing.
*Deadlocked is the only level to reward 15 stars, the highest amount of stars rewarded from any level.
**You may also hit the second blue ring too late and crash into the thorns after the platform.
*Deadlocked is counted as an Easy Demon when viewing Demon completions by difficulty on a player's profile.
*At the first wave segment at 2%, if timed correctly one may go through the bottom wall, as seen here.
*Deadlocked contains the earliest portals of any main level at 2%, which are the mini and wave portals.
*At the second cube sequence at 3% you can go on the third anti-gravity jump ring (the first right after the mini wave) and continue normally.
*At the time of its release, Deadlocked contained every form in the game at both normal and mini sizes, except for the Mini Robot.
* At the second cube sequence at 8%, you can jump over a gravity pad instead of hitting it and continue the level by hitting the next gravity ring.
**No official levels since Deadlocked have used every form that was present in the game at the time of their introduction.
*At the second cube segment at 9%, by jumping into the teleportation portal late it is possible to hit the yellow jump ring marked with an 'X' and not crash.
**To this day, the Mini Robot has gone unused in any official levels, as have the more recently added Mini Spider and Mini Swing.
* At the first ship segment at 19%, it is possible to collect the first secret coin without the key, as shown here. This can be done by going slightly under or over the key, so close to it that the path with the coin will be accessible.
*At 21%, it is possible to miss the ball and size portals by flying under them as the mini ship. The level is still possible this way and is not desynchronized from the music.
** This happens because the key has a smaller hitbox than the trigger that opens the route to the secret coin, so the toggle object is triggered without actually getting the key.
*Deadlocked is the second level to give a Robot for beating the level, the first being Geometrical Dominator.
* At the first ball segment at 21%, if you hit the first blue orb late, you will skip the move triggers and the next platform will not appear, which will result in a crash.
*In the second cube section, it is possible, if timed correctly, to skip the third green jump ring and cyan jump ring and land on the platform, which leads into the teleportation portal.
* At the first ball segment at 22%, hitting the green jump ring too early will oddly cause the player to shoot to the ground instead of jumping to the next platform.
*Originally, players could time a jump correctly right before the second wave section that would cause them to skip the wave portal and the speed portal, causing them to enter the second wave section as a cube. However, this was patched in Update 2.01 by adding obstacles that kill the cube at the start of the wave section.
* At the first ball segment at 22%, hitting the green jump ring too late will cause the player to go too close to the following orange platform, activating the first monster trap, but not killing the player; Video.
**As a less significant glitch, players could also time the green rings late before the second wave section, causing them to skip only the speed portal and still enter the section as a wave. Similarly, this was also patched in Update 2.01 by adding an invisible speed portal above the visible one.
* At the first ball segment at 24%, if you hit the last green jump ring late, you will avoid a gravity portal and do the first part of the next mini-ufo segment upside-down.
*At about 9%, the player can use the fake yellow ring to land on the platform, instead of the blue ring and pad.
* At 30%, hitting the green jump ring late into the teleportation portal may cause the player to crash.
*There are three different ways to collect the second coin.
* At the first robot segment at 33%, you can skip a gravity portal and a teleportation portal by jumping further through the set of spikes.
**The intended way is to go in the secret path and jump with very little boost to the platform with the secret coin. Then, a fading block will appear on which the player must land and then jump from to continue normally.
* At the beginning of the second ball segment at 35%, it is possible to flip gravity right before the yellow jump pad and hit the roof. Flip gravity again and hit the next blue jump ring and you can continue safely.
***It is possible to jump at the very end of the platform where the coin is located with full boost, going over the fading block and landing on the normal path.
* at the mini ball segment at 37%, it is possible to skip a green ring and a teleportation portal if timed correctly, which can be seen here.
**Another way is to buffer the green orb so that the robot lands on the platform as early as possible and then instantly jumps with full boost to brush past the secret coin and acquire it. It makes it slightly harder to jump over the invisible spikes following the coin.
** In 2.01, this exploit became much harder to complete, however it is still possible to complete the exploit.
**The last way is to go up on the normal path (going over the secret path), and make a tiny jump from the centre of the platform to fall onto the platform on which the coin stands and then do a full jump from the very end of the platform to make it back on the main path as the invisible block that normally assists the player on the coin route will not appear.
* At the mini ball segment at 37%, hitting the green jump ring into the teleportation portal early will make you crash on the blocky spikes that line the roof after you teleport.
*At 2%, it is possible to go through a slope and survive. It is seen in the thumbnail image of Partition Zion's How to Deadlocked video.
* At the fourth cube segment at 44%, it is possible to hit the first gravity ring (which you are supposed to avoid) and survive by landing on the edge of the pillar and jumping, despite the pillar having spikes on it.
*At 3%, it is possible to go through a slope and enter the second cube sequence as a mini wave. This path makes the level significantly harder, as it now requires playing both the second cube sequence and the second wave sequence as the mini wave.
** In 2.01, this exploit became much harder to complete, as they added smaller spikes on the platform, however it is still possible to complete the exploit.
*At 76%, it is possible to enter the dual deactivation portal with the inverted wave. Doing so results in the following mini-wave starting at 77% gravity-inverted. It is still possible to complete the level this way.
* At the first mini cube sequence at 46%, if you jump over the gravity ring and continue jumping over the sawblade, you could fall towards the orange teleportation portal, hit a jump pad hidden in the portal and continue as normal.
*At 79%, a cutoff can be found.
* At the second robot segment at 52%, after falling down from the pillar into the secret area as normal, instead of making a small jump to reach the coin, make a large jump and avoid the green jump ring. If timed correctly, can enter an overhanging pillar (with torches on both sides), as it is hollow. You can carefully jump off this pillar by jumping over two sawblades and continue normally.
*Deadlocked, Electrodynamix, and Dash are the only levels in the full version to use the very fast speed portal.
**It is also possible to get the second secret coin by hitting the green jump ring late. However, you will crash if you collect the coin, as you will pass the overhanging pillar and hit a sawblade.
*Deadlocked and Fingerdash are the only levels in the full version where collectibles are required for the player to obtain a secret coin.
**Sometimes, making a very small jump on the normal path before hitting the green orb will cause the player to fall to the secret coin and land safely. However, the invisible block that guides the player back to the main path would not be triggered, so a much larger jump must be performed.
*Deadlocked takes 99 seconds to complete and requires a minimum of 77 jumps.
*At the second robot segment at 54%, it is possible to make a large jump through a set of spikes and skip a green and blue jump ring.
*Deadlocked is the only main level not to have any magenta jump rings after they were introduced in Theory of Everything.
*At the third ship segment at 80%, you are able to glide across a certain group of thorns that line the roof of this section and not die (as if they aren't even there), making you able to continue the level normally.
*Hitting the blue orb with the cross decoration at about 3% late enough will result in landing on the upcoming platform.
*Deadlocked was ranked #60 in GDToday's '100 Greatest Levels of All Time' list.

Patched Errors
Gallery
* Just before the second wave segment at 12%, if you hit the last green ring before the wave portal a bit late and hold your jump key, you might be able to play the sequence at a normal speed than a triple speed and the music will be out of sync and in front by 4 measures.
<gallery mode="packed">
** This was fixed in update 2.01, with the portals made bigger and sawblades placed at the start of the segment.
DeadlockedSecretCoin1Task.png|Key required for the first secret coin
** Similar errors are found in Theory of Everything 2 and Hexagon Force, although these erroneous paths were detrimental, where as Deadlocked's error was beneficial.
DeadlockedSecretCoin1.png|First secret coin
** Also, if timed correctly, hitting the second last green orb in the first cube part and missing the last green orb would allow the player to slide up an upper slope in antigravity in cube form and go through the wave segment, but you will crash against the lower slope when you reach the antigravity portal, as seen here. However, if you make a series of perfectly timed jumps, you may be able to continue the wave segment as a cube and then continue the level normally. Jumping early and hitting all the gravity portals will allow the player to survive and head straight to the normal ship sequence. However, this will shatter the synchronization of the music.

* At the first ball segment, it was possible to slip under the ball portal and remain as a mini ship.
Main level navigation
** If you survive through the ball sequence, it was also possible to go through the UFO sequence as a mini ship too.
***This was fixed in update 2.01.
*If you notice, the second orange teleportation portal at 9% has a yellow jump pad peeking on the left of it. This is use to initiate a jump to reach the next orb.
** Update 2.01 fixed it so that the jump pad isn't shown.

Deadlocked is the twentieth level of Geometry Dash and the third level with a Demon difficulty. 30 secret coins are required to unlock the level.

Description

[edit | edit source]

Deadlocked introduces new level components like the green jump ring (which changes gravity with additional momentum as if a combination of the blue and yellow jump rings), teleportation portals (which teleport players to another location from a linked portal along the Y-axis), and keys/keyholes (which serve as a visual guide for touch-triggered triggers, however, green inverted-square triggers were used in Geometrical Dominator). The wave experiences the gravity portal effect for the first time, and a 'boss fight' segment occurs at 64%.

The level also utilizes a more advanced usage of triggers to create 'laser-shooting monsters', which are seen in the first normal-sized UFO segment at 64%. Anti-gravity is experienced for the first time with the wave, as shown in the second wave sequence.

  • A cube sequence takes place from 0% to 2%, which contains two blue orbs.
  • A mini wave transition sequence takes place from 2% to 3%.
  • A cube sequence from 3% to 12%, involving basic jumping, and introduces the green orb and teleportation portals.

  • A cube sequence from 42% to 49%, with the effects of the mini portal from 45%. Collecting the blue key from the fifth thwomp from the mini ship sequence unlocks the path to the first coin. Click the second orb after the first portal of the cube sequence, then click the blue orbs except for the one before the second portal. After that, avoid the gravity pad.
  • A fast-speed robot sequence from 49% to 56%. Jump over the gear, then choose to fall into a secret passage that leads to the second coin. Then onto the invisible block. Watch for the invisible spikes; make two precise jumps at this point.
  • A fast-speed ship sequence from 56% to 64%, with the effect of the mini portal from 62% to 64%. Practice straight fly for this one. After the two portals in the ship sequence, make a sharp input to avoid getting hit by the spikes.
  • A fast-speed UFO sequence from 64% to 72%. This sequence is a boss battle against six laser-shooting monsters. Avoid where they are facing. The third coin really needs a bit of practice to collect.
  • A very-fast-speed dual wave sequence from 72% to 76%. This sequence is similar to the wave sequence from 12% to 17%.
  • A slow-speed mini wave sequence from 76% to 79%. Just be careful of the walls.
  • A fast-speed ship sequence from 79% to 87% with the effects of the mini portal at 82%. This section has many moving obstacles; be very careful around them.
  • A slow-speed ball sequence from 87% to 89%. Click on every orb; there is no orb to avoid in this sequence.
  • A fast-speed UFO sequence from 89% to 93%, with the effects of the very fast portal from 91% to 93%. The moving obstacles there are harder than the 'thwomps' encountered at the first mini ship sequence. Predict well, and then the next sequence will be easy.
  • A cube sequence from 93% to 100%.

Secret coins

[edit | edit source]
  • The first secret coin is at 43% and collected as the cube; however, it uniquely requires a key before it can be acquired.
    • If the player barely misses the key, the first secret coin path may still open, as the trigger that opens the path has a larger hitbox than the actual key collectible.
  • The second secret coin appears at 53% and is collected as the robot. There will be a two-block-wide pillar sticking out from the ground. Instead of jumping on top of the pillar, the player must drop down and jump shortly after to collect the coin. To return to the normal path, the player must jump onto a fading block. It is considered slightly easier than the normal path.
    • The platform was originally three blocks wide, but it was changed in Update 2.01.
  • The final secret coin appears at 66% and is collected as the UFO when there are monsters shooting lasers at the player. The player must get close to the top of the screen before the first laser is fired. Then, a spinning blade must be avoided, and the coin will be acquired.
  • If all three coins are collected, the player will be rewarded with an extra icon.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • Deadlocked is the only level to reward 15 stars, the highest amount of stars rewarded from any level.
  • Deadlocked is counted as an Easy Demon when viewing Demon completions by difficulty on a player's profile.
  • Deadlocked contains the earliest portals of any main level at 2%, which are the mini and wave portals.
  • At the time of its release, Deadlocked contained every form in the game at both normal and mini sizes, except for the Mini Robot.
    • No official levels since Deadlocked have used every form that was present in the game at the time of their introduction.
    • To this day, the Mini Robot has gone unused in any official levels, as have the more recently added Mini Spider and Mini Swing.
  • At 21%, it is possible to miss the ball and size portals by flying under them as the mini ship. The level is still possible this way and is not desynchronized from the music.
  • Deadlocked is the second level to give a Robot for beating the level, the first being Geometrical Dominator.
  • In the second cube section, it is possible, if timed correctly, to skip the third green jump ring and cyan jump ring and land on the platform, which leads into the teleportation portal.
  • Originally, players could time a jump correctly right before the second wave section that would cause them to skip the wave portal and the speed portal, causing them to enter the second wave section as a cube. However, this was patched in Update 2.01 by adding obstacles that kill the cube at the start of the wave section.
    • As a less significant glitch, players could also time the green rings late before the second wave section, causing them to skip only the speed portal and still enter the section as a wave. Similarly, this was also patched in Update 2.01 by adding an invisible speed portal above the visible one.
  • At about 9%, the player can use the fake yellow ring to land on the platform, instead of the blue ring and pad.
  • There are three different ways to collect the second coin.
    • The intended way is to go in the secret path and jump with very little boost to the platform with the secret coin. Then, a fading block will appear on which the player must land and then jump from to continue normally.
      • It is possible to jump at the very end of the platform where the coin is located with full boost, going over the fading block and landing on the normal path.
    • Another way is to buffer the green orb so that the robot lands on the platform as early as possible and then instantly jumps with full boost to brush past the secret coin and acquire it. It makes it slightly harder to jump over the invisible spikes following the coin.
    • The last way is to go up on the normal path (going over the secret path), and make a tiny jump from the centre of the platform to fall onto the platform on which the coin stands and then do a full jump from the very end of the platform to make it back on the main path as the invisible block that normally assists the player on the coin route will not appear.
  • At 2%, it is possible to go through a slope and survive. It is seen in the thumbnail image of Partition Zion's How to Deadlocked video.
  • At 3%, it is possible to go through a slope and enter the second cube sequence as a mini wave. This path makes the level significantly harder, as it now requires playing both the second cube sequence and the second wave sequence as the mini wave.
  • At 76%, it is possible to enter the dual deactivation portal with the inverted wave. Doing so results in the following mini-wave starting at 77% gravity-inverted. It is still possible to complete the level this way.
  • At 79%, a cutoff can be found.
  • Deadlocked, Electrodynamix, and Dash are the only levels in the full version to use the very fast speed portal.
  • Deadlocked and Fingerdash are the only levels in the full version where collectibles are required for the player to obtain a secret coin.
  • Deadlocked takes 99 seconds to complete and requires a minimum of 77 jumps.
  • Deadlocked is the only main level not to have any magenta jump rings after they were introduced in Theory of Everything.
  • Hitting the blue orb with the cross decoration at about 3% late enough will result in landing on the upcoming platform.
  • Deadlocked was ranked #60 in GDToday's '100 Greatest Levels of All Time' list.
