icedcave (IcEDCave in-game, also known as ssoh) is a prominent Canadian level creator renowned for pushing creative boundaries in the editor. He is known for creating tons of impossible levels and challenges. His most notable levels include DIAMOND BLADE, Final Destination, Fever Dream and SUPERHATEMEWORLD. However, he is best known for hosting one of the longest-reigning Top 1 levels, Slaughterhouse, and the current Top 1 level GRIEF, both verified by Doggie.

History

icedcave's history with Geometry Dash began in the Update 1.6. During that time, he would create a difficult 10-15-second Demon on his friend's phone called Death Roads. However, the original version was not preserved because he was playing the Lite version of Geometry Dash.

In Update 1.8, already in the full version of the game, icedcave built a remake of Death Roads, which lost progress once due to a save error. He later found his level on an old iPad. It was inspired by such Demons as Ice Cream, Heaven And Hell, ICE Carbon Diablo X, Silent clubstep, and Silent Club.

icedcave created his YouTube channel on 10 April 2015, but he did not upload any videos until November of that year. His first upload was on 3 November 2015, when he reached 4% on Silent clubstep. He uploaded his next video two years later, on 19 May 2017, where he plays an auto-noclip version of Silent Factory. On 26 June 2017, he uploaded another video, showcasing his own level called PIT, a grey level with Clubstep monsters looking similar to those from TON 618. The next month, he uploaded a video of his verification of Apocalypse Eve, a grey challenging level with tight wave sections. The level has not been rated.

Extreme Demon levels

• Cat Planet (Star-rated) - A joke Nine Circles remake with a difficulty around a low-end Extreme Demon. Its song and elements likely drew inspiration from Aquamarine.
• Fever Dream - (Star-rated) - An unofficial sequel to Devil Vortex verified by BGram on 27 July 2023.
• GRIEF (Epic) - A Top 1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level hosted by icedcave, verified by Doggie. It is an extended, possible remake of icedcave's 2.0 impossible level Slaughterhouse and the prequel to his 2.1 Extreme Demon with the same name. It is his first level to receive a rating higher than the standard rate.
• Icotact (Star-rated) - A continuation of ozpectro's unfinished level of the same name.
• moment (Star-rated on Arekushi14's account) - A flow-themed level with a simplistic yet pleasing design.
• Slaughterhouse (Star-rated) - His most famous level. The level was originally a 1.9 impossible level, full of quarter-block wave-spam sections, but it was updated to a rate-worthy Extreme Demon, It was hack-verified by spaceuk but legitimately verified by Doggie. The original was uploaded to icedcave's account under the title 'Slaughterhouse II'.
• Stellar Night (Star-rated) - A level that was originally impossible but was nerfed to Top 10 in difficulty, verified by Tuggy. It remained the hardest verified unrated level in the game for a relatively long time after its verification.
• SUPERHATEMEWORLD (Star-rated) - An old 'impossible' level that UFokinWotM8 verified. It was redecorated soon after and set to be verified by icedcave himself, but he dropped it due to school after buffing it to Top 10 difficulty. UFokinWotM8 took up the verification but commissioned a cover of the song to replace the one banned from Newgrounds. The verification was then given to declan, who achieved 85%. Following a nerf to Top-50 difficulty, it was verified by Cursed on 30 September 2022. A remix of the song was uploaded to Newgrounds in June 2022, and the remixer, who goes by the name Muffinly (his Newgrounds username is BlueBerryGamer2008), is responsible for it. Players will be able to enjoy the full level experience only if the remix is featured in Geometry Dash.
