MindCap is an Egyptian level creator and player. He is mainly known for hosting numerous mega-collaboration projects, such as Gamma, its official sequels Sigma and Omega, the dual-based Extreme Demon Celestial Force, the memory-based Extreme Demon LIMBO,[1] and the orb-based Extreme Demon ORBIT.

History

MindCap created his YouTube channel on 27 February 2013, but he did not upload any videos until four years later. His first upload was on 4 February 2017, a relatively tight four-second-long wave challenge level.[2] His next video was uploaded on 2 May 2017, in which he showcased his part in a collaboration level.[3] On 21 June 2017, MindCap uploaded a video of his part in an Extreme Demon collaboration called Gamma.[4] After this, MindCap stopped posting frequently. His next upload occurred on 24 January 2018; it was an official preview of Celestial Force, an upcoming Extreme Demon collaboration.[5]

In March 2021, MindCap was wrapped in controversy after mistakenly leaking that Michigun had died to a few other players ahead of the official announcement. He quit playing and deleted his Twitter account, but returned and made a new account three months later.

Levels

Unrated levels
  • Cake Level (unlisted) - A cake-themed level created as a joke level for April Fools' Day on 1 April 2023. It features cake and various sweets decorations but quickly morphs into modern pop culture art, including Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, weed shots, SpongeBob, etc. Jif verified it.
  • Heliopolis - An mega-collaboration level inspired by Acropolis, projected to be Top 1-difficulty. MindCap initially gave the level to ItsHybrid. However, ItsHybrid was unable to finish it, so he returned it to MindCap. The level was made an open verification on 25 March 2026 in addition to garbag and Abdieldevil already verifying it, with a potential 10,000 USD bounty on the level.[6]
  • orbit copy - A joke level regarding the Extreme Demon ORBIT.
Harder levels
  • Cosmic Level (Epic) - A mega-collaboration level commemorating the Space Gauntlet Contest, released on the date of the Gauntlet Reveal.
Medium Demon levels
  • Collab Level (featured) - A horror-themed level that was verified by Cursed. Previously, MindCap stated that he would not upload it to the servers due to its inappropriate art and horror nature. However, he later posted a Twitter message about downloading the level that requires GDShare to play. As of now, the level has been uploaded to his account, with a warning at the start.
Hard Demon levels
  • bb circles (featured) - A joke Nine Circles-styled mega-collaboration level using the usual style of Nine Circles gameplay but without any wave sections. It stands for 'blue balled circles'.
Extreme Demon levels
  • Celestial Force (featured) - A mega-collaboration level with GaidenHertuny, GeometryTom, MrLorenzo, JustBasic, EndLevel, Xyriak, HelpegasuS, Jghost217, ElayaD, ManHeadRambo, Stormy97, InsanE03, HoshiKido, Zafkiel, and Wolfless. It was verified by Dagger[7] and rated within a week. Some months later, Gizbro verified a bug fix update for the level.
  • Gamma (featured) - A mega-collaboration level with several famous creators like Lemons and Metalface221. It was verified by Sunix[8] and later reverified for a coin update by Technical.[9]
  • LIMBO (Epic) - A memory-based mega-collaboration with several creators and the former hardest memory Demon in the game. BGram verified it.
  • Omega (featured) - A mega-collaboration level with several other creators. It is the sequel to Sigma and the trequel to Gamma. Technical verified it on 15 February 2020[10] and later reverified for a balance update by xander.
  • Sigma (featured) - A mega-collaboration sequel to Gamma. Technical verified it.
  • Every End (starred) - A mega-collaboration level hosted by MindCap and Djoxy set to be a Top Demon accessible by everyone in the community, according to MindCap. The level only uses blocks and spikes without additional mechanics, such as orbs, pads, and portals. It features many famous creators such as Pennutoh, npesta, KrmaL, and more. Hqmy verified it on 16 March 2025.[11]. This is also his only level to not be featured or above.
  • ORBIT (Mythic) - A space-themed Extreme Demon mega-collaboration where every input uses an orb. It features many famous creators, such as Pennutoh, knobbelboy, and others from RETURN 0. It was verified by Zoink on 10 February 2026, and became the first Mythic-rated classic Extreme Demon later that day.[12]

  • Hinds style - A level meant to replicate Hinds' creating style.
  • LIMBO - A joke version of his mega-collaboration level of the same name. The level featured the first few timings of Juhou's part in the real level before teleporting the player to an area with the art of a troll face.
  • Operation Big Demon - The codename for a mega-collaboration with Minus, Nico99, and more. It was intended to be Top 1 in difficulty.
  • RETURN 0 - A machine-themed Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level featuring many famous creators such as Pennutoh, Stormfly, and TrusTa. It was meant as the sequel to LIMBO and set to be verified by npesta. MindCap originally announced on 12 April 2023 that the level was discontinued. On 28 November 2023, he later announced that it may be revived in the future. Currently, there have been no news about its potential revival.
  • retoguitar - A challenge level for GuitarHeroStyles that is his first and only unrated level ever created.

  • Sweet Tooth - A collaboration level with 'Wobbly Tooth, Crunchy Apple' as its song.[14][15]
  • The T Puzzle
  • Valley Of Bowser - A Mario Castle-themed mega-collaboration with gameplay by Hawkyre. It was later given to Vorp, but they soon went inactive and no progress was made.

Trivia

  • MindCap has garnered over 258,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.[16]
  • MindCap's input device is his laptop, on which he plays with the up-arrow key.
  • With the exception of Cosmic Level (a Harder 7*), all of MindCap's rated levels are Demons.
  • MindCap was the seventh guest of The Dasher Podcast.[17]
  • MindCap's levels have pushed two former Top 1s out of the Main and Extended Lists, respectively, on two separate occasions.
    • These occurrences happened with the placement of Every End pushing Zodiac out of the Main List and Bloodlust out of the Extended List, as well as the placement of ORBIT pushing Tartarus out of the Main List and Crimson Planet out of the Extended List.
  • On 7 May 2026, MindCap hosted a discussion podcast dedicated to his level Heliopolis and the controversy that started brewing around it a couple of days prior on Twitter.
    • Not long after the podcast ended, MindCap released a statement, explaining more about the Heliopolis situation.[18]
    • MindCap said that he knew that the $10,000 bounty would not convince many people to play the level, because, as of recently, only iIiLaseriIi with a 48-100% run and Komet01, the winner of npesta's '100 Pros vs Heliopolis' event, had committed to really trying the level.
      • MindCap also mentioned that the recent hate spilling on Zoink because of him starting to play Heliopolis is pointless, and people saying he is 'stealing' the verification are not in the right, as no one besides the two earlier-mentioned players has really tried playing the level after MindCap announced the $10,000 bounty.
    • In MindCap's opinion, Zoink did not start playing Heliopolis for money at all.
    • Despite being happy about Zoink verifying the level, MindCap's dream verifier has been garbag, who beat RUST, then jumped to Every End, and then jumping to Heliopolis would—in MindCap's opinion—be a perfect underdog story, making the Heliopolis verification very unique and 'magical' in a way.
    • MindCap is certain that npesta's 100 Pros vs Heliopolis challenge brought more people into the Heliopolis playing scene than the bounty itself did, thanks to its approachability (since contestants only needed to improve their previous record by 1% every day, not beat the entire level).
    • MindCap said that the $10,000 bounty he will give to the first victor of Heliopolis is located in Djoxy's (his friend's) bank account due to him living in Egypt, because, as he said, withdrawing a large amount of money and keeping it digitally might cause the Egyptian government to steal it potentially.
    • MindCap made the first half of Heliopolis harder and the second half easier because the nerves a player would have while getting past 49% would be enough to balance the level's difficulty.
    • MindCap supposes that the only plausible condition for him to build a fully solo level would be in a situation where he would create an alternate Geometry Dash account and upload it there.
    • In MindCap's opinion, Heliopolis might only be barely harder than Thinking Space II.
      • MindCap is also frightened of GRIEF, which to contrary of what the majority of people say could turn out to be harder than Heliopolis.
        • For this reason, he announced a buffdate of Heliopolis, concentrating on the second, easier half of the level. However, he has changed his mind a few hours later, feeling that he acted selfish to not give any other level a chance to be Top 1.[19]
    • MindCap begged a lot of top players to verify Heliopolis, and Zoink jumping into the level might have been the only lifeline thanks to which the level might get verified in plausible time.
