Tendo is a 2.1 Insane Demon collaboration level by gradientxd, Hadeon, and Yoonsr, verified by Viprin on 11 February 2021.[1]

The level was named after its song, 'Tendo', which was uploaded to Newgrounds a day before the level's release.

Description

[edit | edit source]

Tendo's gameplay is described as precise, fast-paced, and 'flowy', with well-synced gameplay in accordance with the song. The decoration is dominantly red with binary and programming in the background.

  • 0-8%: TENDO begins with a mini-UFO section with timings and gamemode changes that sync to the song.
  • 8-11%: A mini-cube part follows with precise inputs in accordance with the song's beat.
  • 11-14%: A mini-ball part with timings similar to the last few parts follow.
  • 15-18%: A ship part at normal speed with orb timings and rapid size changes. The level dims as the song's tone does.
  • 19-22%: This part consists of a normal cube with some fake ground orbs and timings the player must hold through.
  • 22-25%: A mini-UFO part with slopes and light timings.
  • 26-29%: The last part before the drop is a tight mini-ball corridor with clicks that sync to the song and a black vignette on both sides of the screen.
  • 30-35%: Beginning the drop, an intense quadruple-speed wave part follows with gravity changes and mini-wave sliding. This part of the level is considered a chokepoint among victors of the level.
  • 36-41%: This UFO part consists of gravity changes and timings that sync to the song.
  • 42-48%: This section of the level contains many portal changes. The player begins as a cube-spider dual, focusing on the cube hitting the black orbs as early as possible without buffering the inputs, then a simple but tight UFO part, followed by mini-wave sliding.
  • 49-54%: The part that follows consists of a ship with yellow orbs and portal changes that sync to the song.
  • 55-60%: The next part consists of rhythmic portal changing where three UFO inputs follow a single cube input.
  • 60-65%: This part consists of a spider with tight synchronized inputs and invisible spider portals that change the ground bounds.
  • 66-71%: A few cube orb timings, then a high CPS UFO part with many orbs, portal changes, and precise inputs make up this part.
  • 72-77%: Tight but long wave inputs characterize this part in accordance with the song's beat.
  • 78-84%: This section of the level comprises synchronized speed changes. Firstly, as a triple-speed cube, then double speed before entering a triple-speed ball, then become slower again until a triple-speed UFO, followed by a quadruple-speed wave when the song becomes intense.
  • 84-88%: What follows is a triple-speed mini-ball with gravity changes and flowy gameplay.
  • 89-93%: This part has unstable speeds in rhythm to the song, with a brief mini-wave requiring no clicking.
  • 93-100%: The level's last part is a mini-UFO that begins with two inputs before a size-change portal and a cube that follows with one input.
