Ultra Paracosm is a 2.2 Extreme Demon collaboration level by ⁨Declan and ⁨Renn241, published on 27 July 2025. It is an extremely difficult remake of Hyper Paracosm by ViRuZ and TheRealSneaky, which itself is an extremely difficult remake of Nine Circles. Despite its relatevily short length, Ultra Paracosm features a handful of speed changes, complimented with very tight wave gaps, and with its raw precision (which is based on frame windows) nearing this of Tidal Wave.[1] Ultra Paracosm predominantly uses Pink, Purple and Blue colour palette, and its decoration serves as a nice throwback to early 2.1 style.

Ultra Paracosm used to be a solo project developed by Renn241. However, he later transferred ownership of the level to Declan, as he wanted to redecorate and rebalance it, to which Wity and Renn agreed. Declan was thinking about making his own remake of Hyper Paracosm before, so he he was happy with this decision.

After its verification by Wity on 21 April 2026,[2] Ultra Paracosm was rated on 6 July 2026 and placed at #16 on the Demonlist on 5 August 2026, becoming the hardest Nine Circles level in the history of the list, surpassing Subsuming Vortex.

Verification

Wity would start his verification journey with Ultra Paracosm on 4 October 2025, after Renn241 had given him the level.[3] Wity in his initial streams was mostly playtesting and balancing Ultra Paracosm. By 12 October, Wity had achieved 45% twice and 22-100%.[4] After dropping Subsuming Vortex, he got back to verifying Ultra Paracosm and would get a new best of 91% by 28 December.[5] His other runs around that time consisted of 86% twice, 84% and 22-100% twice.[6]

After that, Wity would seemingly go inactive, however, he was waiting for Declan to redecorate and rebalance the level. His first stream of the new version happened on 18 March 2026, by which he had 37-100% twice.[7] He then achieved 36% on 20 March,[8] 27-94%, 32-100% and 43% on 23 March,[9] 44% on 25 March,[10] 55% on 28 March,[11] and 27-100% on 13 April.[12] On 14 April, Wity got a new 71% best after around 73,000 attempts.[13]

Finally on 21 April Wity verified Ultra Paracosm after 80,153 attempts and 15 live-streams.[14]

Description

  • 0-8%: Ultra Paracosm begins with a cube sequence. The decoration is very bright in this section, with glowing obstacles and background. It has gravity and size changes, plenty of orbs and teleportation portals. The cube must maneouvre between tightly packed obstacles, making difficult frame window clicks. The part ends with a dash orb.
  • 8-17%: Next is a ship sequence with precise clicks and orbs, similar to those in Sakupen Circles and Sonic Wave Infinity, with speed changing along with music beats. Then the cube must commit three difficult orb timings before being thrown into a blue pad corridor, by which the level gets dark-purple color, gravity portals and another blue pad corridor, leading into the drop.
  • 17-56%: The drop begins with a quadruple-speed normal size wave sequence, featuring speed and size changes that is reminiscent of the Tidal Wave drop. The room for error is minimal, as most of the clicks are 5-6 frames on 240 FPS, as well as plenty of 4 and sometimes 3 frames. The entire section is dimly lit with glowing purple and pink Nine Circles effect.
  • 56-68%: The drop ends, the music calms down, and the atmosphere brightens. Now as the cube the player does a few difficult orb timings and triple spike jumps, shrinking in size and turning into a ball, which is the easiest part of the level with just one difficult click.
  • 68-84%: The ship must navigate between tight spaces with just a few gravity changes, turning into a UFO briefly, and as a cube uses a few fairly difficult orbs to move forward through platforms with spikes on the ground and the ceiling. A short easy ball break follows.
  • 84-100%: In this last section the ship has to commit rather demanding and precise timings filled with frame windows, which with huge nerves can make it a really difficult challenge to pass them. After that we change into a cube and and clicking the black orb we slam into the ground clicking precisely on the nearby triple spike, and as the cube moves into the darkness, the level's name and its creators are presented to us, ending the level.
