Surv was seen as the best Geometry Dash player for a while due to Riot's inactivity on YouTube and Geometry Dash. Surv would eventually quit the game and delete all his channel's contents. However, he has since returned to the game in 2022 and beaten Zodiac.
Following his return, he has beaten Bloodlust, Lucid Nightmares, Tartarus, verified a currently unrated Extreme Demon named Duplication, and beaten his current hardest, Oblivion, on 28 January 2024.[1]
History
On 4 March 2016, he was involved in some drama against Quasar after Surv had crashed near the end of Bloodbath (96%). Quasar, an unknown player at the time, beat the level shortly afterwards, yelling, 'Get rekt, Surv, get fricking Surved!' on his stream.[2] Surv took offence, and Quasar promptly posted an apology video.[3] Surv apologized in return for overreacting.
On 23 May, he beat Phobos. Surv got 87% on the level the day it was rated and later beat it days after.[4]
On 23 June, he had also been tasked to verify Yatagarasu after Riot had given up on it. Surv's record stood at 33% at the time, and it was his main focus.
On 31 August, Surv announced that he was quitting Geometry Dash and moving on to other games. This decision is because he found the community annoying. He also announced he was passing Yatagarasu to TrusTa. Later, Surv said he would still create levels but not play difficult levels. On 27 December, however, Surv beat Artificial Ascent on a stream, at the time, ranked #5 on the Official Extreme and Insane Demon Records List.[5] Then, on 16 January 2017, Surv beat Yatagarasu, being the second person to do so (after TrusTa).
On 29 October 2018, Surv released a video called #FREERIOT. In it, he talked about how Riot's channel got removed and how he was supposed to have it back by now but had not gotten it back yet. Surv made the video free to reupload and wanted everyone to reupload it on their channels.[6]
On 13 June 2019, Surv released a video showcasing his finished part in Night Rider. In the video description, he stated that it was decorated by OSIRIS.[7]
On 18 July 2019, Surv uploaded a 72% progress video on Spacial Rend,[8] and beat it on 16 August 2019.[9]
On 1 July 2022, Surv beat Sonic Wave.[10]
On 4 July, he beat New Record.[11] On 12 July, Surv got 84% on Zodiac.[12] His previous record on the level was 59%.[13] On 29 July, he completed Misty Mountains,[14] then TORNADO on 23 October,[15] Infernal Abyss on 31 October,[16] Athanatos on 2 November,[17] aftermath on 2 November as well,[18] and NecropoliX on 27 November.[19] Finally on 28 December, Surv beat Zodiac as his new hardest.[20]
On 25 January 2023, he beat CHROMA FINALE.[21] then Glide on 27 January,[22] Bloodlust on 2 February,[23] Quantum Processing on 4 February,[24] Lucid Nightmares on 9 February,[25] verified Duplication on 13 February,[26] and completed Photovoltaic II on 18 February.[27] He then started playing Tartarus - he had 52% and 46-100% by 26 February,[28] 60%,[29] 91% the next day,[30] 97% on 1 March,[31] 98% on 11 May,[32] and finally beat the level on 12 May as a new hardest.[33]
On 1 June 2024, Surv verified Pantheon, a remake of Acropolis by Zobros created by himself, Xavell, Lieb, Graded, Jhemyson & Cryo.[34] On 5 June, he got Slaughterhouse in two runs - 51% and 45-100%.[35] On 17 November, he fluked Crackhead Circles from 47% to 91%.[36]

- Surv was often considered one of the best players during the 2017 era, along with TrusTa, BlassCFB, Skullo and Sunix.
- Surv was the second victor of Bloodbath.
- Surv used to frequently livestream his gameplay, especially when playing difficult Demons.
- Surv kept his icon colour scheme nearly the same during his whole Geometry Dash career.
- Due to completing several Extreme Demons within a relatively short time, Surv had skyrocketed in YouTube subscribers (growing from about 200 subscribers to 11,000 in three months) and Twitch followers. He was one of the most rapidly growing Geometry Dash YouTubers in the community, thanks to his incredible skill and large exposure since he beat Bloodbath.
- Following Surv's return to the game in 2022, he has also beaten levels such as TORNADO, Infernal Abyss, Athanatos, aftermath, NecropoliX, CHROMA FINALE, Glide and Quantum Processing.
- Surv was originally from the United Kingdom but lived in South Africa for most of his life before living in the Netherlands.
- This is why Surv speaks with a British accent.
- Surv had said he lost lots of his data, including that of Yatagarasu. This problem was then fixed.
- While playing Yatagarasu on a stream on July 18, 2016, Surv raged and removed numerous objects from Jeyzor's part, then accidentally saved it,[40] though the objects were eventually recovered.
- Surv participated in the mega-collaboration Fusion Z (now Molten Gear).
- RobTop stated on Surv's stream that he would release Update 2.1 once Surv beat Yatagarasu. That night, Surv achieved 100%, uploading the completion to YouTube hours before the release of 2.1.
- Zimnyte started a joke of calling Surv 'Sruv'.
