Template:Infobox Level Saul Goodman is a 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level hosted and published by Renn241 and verified by Jori on 3 May 2023. The level is the fourth installment of the Breaking Bad tetralogy, preceded by walter white. It's decoration is filled with different memes. The level's popularity is moderate among players, as its gameplay is quite decent in terms of playability and enjoyability. The level also features user coins, which is rare for levels of such difficulty.

The level is named after Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman, the main protagonist of the Saul Goodman television show. The level's gameplay contains fast timings, straight-flying segments, and tight wave sections.

History

The first mention of the level dates back to 29 August, when Renn241 uploaded the first preview of his new project, the final level in the Breaking Bad trilogy, Saul Goodman, on his YouTube channel.[1] He informed that the level was originally aimed to be the potential new Top 1, but now it would be nerfed to Silent clubstep difficulty. On 8 October, he uploaded the second preview of Saul Goodman on his channel.[2] On 23 October, Renn241 showcased the fully completed level, stating, that level is aimed to place within the Top 10 of the Demonlist, and that he chose iIiLaseriIi as it's verifier.[3]

However, iIiLaseriIi finally didn't verify the level, as Jori became the next and final verifier, with 38,951 attempts and two fails at 92%.[4] In the video's description, he briefly explained how it came to be that he ended up as a verifier: 'i had wanted to verify this for so, so long but since it already had a verifier, i never asked. this was until one day when i was in a call with renn and i went "hey, whats happening with saul goodman?" one thing lead to another and now we're here.'

Gameplay

  • 0-15%: The first section begins with a challenging cube, followed by a short robot and ball sequence. The gamemode then switches back to the cube, with music that is often timed to clicks. The gameplay now blends cube and ship with dash orbs. This section ends with several jumps over triple spikes and the alternating 'Better Call Saul' sign .
  • 15-35%: The design of the level changes significantly, with the drop starting at maximum, followed by two ufo clicks on orbs. Player briefly turns into a wave, where after flying between obstacles, they must click on an orb, and the game mode changes. A varied and very fast-paced sequence of gameplay follows.
  • 35-54%: Gray becomes the dominant color in this part of the level, with different shades of this colour making it really beautiful. The player is now a ship, and must perform complex straight-fly with additional difficulties. The gamemodes change very quickly again, but the speed of the level has calmed down a bit. The main difficulty in this section is precise timing with rapidly changing patterns, with the player sometimes having to click along with the music, with effects such as bright flashes and lasers that add to the vibe of the gameplay. This section ends with a short mini-ship straight-fly.
  • 54-73%: The second half of the drop is divided into four equal-length segments: The first is a cube which has to memorize and jump on the correct orbs. The second is ship with tricky straight-fly, which also has to watchout for black orbs, increasing the difficulty of this section. In the fourth segment, the player has to navigate the very challenging wave, similar to the difficulty of Sakupen Circles. This section ends with a cube with several clicks that has to jump over triple spikes.
  • 73-92%: The final section of the level features weird, humorous decorations with fast gameplay that requires precision, and the visual synchronization with the music becomes more noticeable. It also features a mix of straight-fly and difficult wave. The final part is the wave gamemode, gradually increasing in speed, after which the level ends.
  • 92-100%: This part is an almost completely empty section where the player can collect two user coins. At the very end, a drawing of Saul Goodman's face will appear.
