The Lost Existence
The Lost Existence (TLE) is a 2.1 Extreme Demon by JonathanGD, verified by Luqualizer. It is an XL level made for the #levelution movement and uses just under 32,000 objects.
Description
[edit | edit source]The Lost Existence is similar to the other XXL Travel levels, like Lonely travel.
The Lost Existence begins with a half-speed cube sequence with a double-spike at the end before entering a half-speed ship sequence with some tight spaces. The ship turns mini, and blocks start moving slightly to make the spaces tighter. The player turns into a cube again, while the level contains a 1.0 block design mixed with some glow. Another mini-ship sequence begins with some tight, curvy straight-fly.
After this is a memory ball sequence that, halfway through, switches the player to a mini-ball; after a quick ship sequence, a UFO segment begins, filled with blue, pink, and purple gears. The design continues into the incoming robot sequence, then into another straight-fly sequence with the mini-ship. Another tight, half-speed ship sequence follows, with a design change.
A rainbow-themed wave sequence follows. The rainbow design continues into a timing-based cube and robot sequence before a quick, symmetrical dual; after that is a ship sequence and a hard UFO sequence during a lava-themed boss fight inspired by the official level Deadlocked. After this is a golden section that often changes game-mode and includes a difficult ball-copter sequence. A cloud-themed section follows, switching from an easy ship sequence to a timing cube sequence, then to a somewhat difficult ball sequence, then to an easy cube sequence, and finally back to a ship sequence. After that is a spider-and-cube sequence, followed by some more straight-flying.
A ball, ship, UFO, and robot sequence inspired by Lonely travel comes afterwards. After that is a tight wave sequence. The last part of the level is reminiscent of the first: a timing-based golden cube sequence.
User coins
[edit | edit source]The Lost Existence contains three user coins; all require certain collectables to obtain.
- The first coin can be found at 29%. The player must find the five hidden hearts to obtain it. Once the player collects all five, they must fly up after reaching the second spiky platform and enter a narrow entrance to collect the coin.
- The first heart is found at 1%: after jumping through the pillar, jump over the cloud right above it to collect the heart.
- The second heart is located at 4% during the first ship sequence, at the mini-ship segment. Be wary: it is in a tight space and requires precise straight-flying to collect.
- The third heart is located at 5%. It simply requires clicking as soon as the player hits the yellow pad to hit an invisible orb and collect it.
- The fourth heart is located at 14%. Hit the green dash orb at 13% a bit later to avoid the upper spikes, and keep holding until the heart is collected.
- The fifth and last heart is located at 24%. As soon as the player enters the robot portal, they must make a moderate jump to collect it.
- The second coin is located at 67%. It requires two vials and one red skull to collect. Both vials are found in the Deadlocked-inspired ship sequence. To collect it, the player must jump and skip the green orb portal, entering a hidden room underneath the platform where the user coin is located.
- The red skull can be found at 44% during the dual-mini-ship sequence. Fly up to collect it, then fly over the gear sawblade to avoid it.
- Both vials require careful ship manoeuvring to collect. The first vial is located at 47%; as soon as the player is about to collect it, they must quickly hold to avoid hitting the hazard. The second vial is located at 48%; the player must fly up to collect it while avoiding the hazardous spikes.
- The third and final coin is located at 93% in the last wave sequence. Before the player can collect the coin, they must collect a hidden purple skull at 82% above the normal route. To get the coin, the player must send their wave below the normal route, where the coin can be collected; however, it is inside a tight slope, so precise timing is crucial.
- The skull requires a quite complicated step to collect: the player must drop two blocks at 72% to unlock the hidden route towards the second skull. To do this: once the player enters the cube portal, they must perform two successive jumps with the cube, effectively collecting two blocks. The hidden route is located at 79%, at the spider sequence. The player must skip the red orb as soon as they enter the blue gravity portal to be led into an alternate route; then a pink orb generates at 80%, and they must hit it to get enough room to change gravity with the spider right before they enter the cube portal. Then, they must jump over the triple-spike to go upwards and meet another triple-spike. The player must make three consecutive timed jumps before finally reaching the skull.
