Sakupen Circles (Diamond)
- For the original level by Nick24, see Sakupen circles (Nick24).
Sakupen Circles (formerly known as Iron God, and abbreviated as SKC) is a 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level hosted by DrCuber and GhostVandalf, verified and published by Diamond on 29 December 2021.[1] The level is a remake of the 1.9 impossible level of the same name and takes several gameplay ideas from Iron God, an older level created by Muffy450. It was verified by Diamond after a fail at 76% and a run of 37-100%. Sakupen Circles placed at #1 on the Demonlist before being shifted to #2, below Slaughterhouse, becoming the hardest rated Nine Circles level at the time, as well as the current hardest level under one minute long.
Description
[edit | edit source]Note: Only decorators will be mentioned in the following section, as the original gameplay was made by Nick24 with some changes throughout the level made by Muffy450.
- 0-8% (DrCuber): Sakupen Circles begins with a semi-impossible three-block-tall jump at half speed. After this, the player must hit the blue orb, jump over some spikes, fall into a mirror portal, and change to double speed. The player must keep jumping over multiple spikes. The player is given multiple orbs to choose from, but they can only hit the first pink orb and the last blue orb. They must then jump over the spikes to pass through a mirror portal, and their speed is reduced to half. They need to jump on the edge of a block with a spike and time a pink orb to reach the double-speed ship.
- 8-17% (korewa): The player hits the ceiling as the double-speed ship and must continue with a series of yellow orbs with gravity changes.
- 17-49% (Renn241): The player changes into a ball part containing difficult orb timings, leading into a tight corridor with spikes on the sides. They transform into a dual mini-ball with small spikes on each side that they must avoid. They turn into a cube and must do a couple more cube timings. The word 'Ready?' appears right before the first wave part. The wave part has incredibly tight gaps with little room for error. They turn into a mini-wave and must spam on the sides of the walls to avoid the spikes.
- 50-66% (Mzero + endevvor): The player becomes a dual mini-wave and must perform frame-perfect clicks to get through. They turn back into a normal wave and have to perform even tighter timings, leading into a mini-wave section where they must spam fast but consistently through a downward spam. They grow big again and must spam more, albeit not as fast, before transitioning into an auto-ship section for the next part.
- 66-72% (NineDice): Considered one of the hardest and most inconsistent parts of the level, the player must memorise and spam through one-block gaps as a triple-speed wave, making some clicks inconsistent and hard to time.
- 72-100% (GhostVandalf): The player changes into a dual wave where they have to make it through some more diagonal gaps with spikes on them, leading into a two-block spam section back into a ship section. They must precisely control the ship and learn the fakes to get past the section. Finally, the ship turns mini into a reasonably easy straight-fly. After that, the player returns to normal size and must perform the final straight-fly to finish the level.

Notable completions
- Cursed was the first victor of Sakupen Circles on 7 January 2022.[2]
- Before the completion, Cursed dropped the verification due to demotivation. However, he stated that he would not drop Sakupen Circles completely and might return to it as a victor rather than a verifier.
- On 16 August 2022, Cursed rebeat Sakupen Circles and was also the first victor to beat with true full detail. (spaceuk before being exposed, Zoink, and Tuggy had full detail, but they used LDM.)
- Zoink used to have the lowest attempt count on Sakupen Circles, with 26,901 attempts.[3]
- theopex58 currently has the biggest fluke on Sakupen Circles, with his furthest fail only from 53%.[6]
- Tunax became the 100th victor of Sakupen Circles on 27 August 2025.[7]
- ⟢Ellie⟣ is the only person who has ever died at 98% on Sakupen Circles.[8] They completed the level a day after on 29 April 2026.[9]
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Sakupen Circles was rated on 5 January 2022 and placed at #1 on the Demonlist on the same day, above Slaughterhouse.
- This addition pushed Kenos out of the Top 10, Cognition out of the Top 20, Icotact into the Extended List, and Ziroikapi into the Legacy List.
- Kenos was ironically the extended remake of Sakupen Hell, as it shares the same song as Sakupen Circles; the former also omits the second major drop of the song, whereas Sakupen Circles focuses solely on that.
- Sakupen Circles is regarded as the 39th instance of the hardest rated level in the game's history.
- On 17 March 2022, Sakupen Circles's and Slaughterhouse's placements had been swapped; thus, Sakupen Circles dropped to #2 on the Demonlist.
- Sakupen Circles was at #1 for 70 days.
- This addition pushed Kenos out of the Top 10, Cognition out of the Top 20, Icotact into the Extended List, and Ziroikapi into the Legacy List.
- Sakupen Circles is the second Top 1 Nine Circles level of the Demonlist after Sonic Wave and the second Top 1 Medium-length level after Sakupen Hell.
- Sakupen Circles is often seen as a somewhat first 'bridge' between the Challenge List and the Demonlist, as many sections throughout the years have been made into stand-alone challenges.
- IvoryIdk has attempted to complete Sakupen Circles as a jump from Clubstep, achieving of 67% twice, 37-70% twice in a row, 37-100%, 53% and 82%. They were also playing USKC, with their overall attempt count going beyond 324,000.[10][11] However, after the furthest fail at 82%, they quit playing both levels entirely.
- There is a sequel called Aquamarine, which DrCuber is currently remaking. The original version of the level, made by Alex, Taika, and Scorpion, is an extension of a challenge named I Cry, made by Cursed.[12]
- The original version of Aquamarine has been verified by seels55 on 9 October 2024.[13]
- Aquamarine has two completed decorated versions, one made by SuperioxX, Soywues, and itsAley,[14] and the second, by Alex and more.[15]
- After seels verified the level, Aquamarine placed at #4 on the Global Demonlist on 20 October 2024.
- On 26 May 2026, ItzAmethyst achieved a world record of 69% on mobile.[16]
- Sakupen Circles is generally criticised for its gameplay, especially the drop; some believe it should not be rated.
- Sakupen Circles uses the same song and has similar length to Sakupen Hell, uses similar colour scheme, and the two levels also garner most of their difficulty through their wave gameplay.
- The placement of Quanteuse processing on 18 January 2026 pushed Sakupen Circles out of the Top 25 of the Demonlist after over four years since its initial placement at #1.
- Alongside Sakupen Circles, another level with the same song, Kenos, was pushed out of the Top 100 on the Demonlist.
