Ultra Paracosm (declan)
- For the level by Rulas, see Ultra Paracosm (Rulas).
Ultra Paracosm is a 2.1/2.2 Extreme Demon collaboration level by declan and Renn241, published on 27 July 2025. It is a super-buffed remake of Hyper Paracosm, which itself is an extremely difficult remake of Nine Circles. Despite its relatively short length, Ultra Paracosm features a handful of speed changes, complemented by very tight wave gaps, and its raw precision (based on frame windows) nears that of Tidal Wave.[1] Ultra Paracosm predominantly uses a pink, purple, and blue colour palette, and its decoration serves as a nice throwback to early 2.1 style.
Ultra Paracosm used to be a solo project developed by Renn241. However, he later transferred ownership of the level to declan, as he wanted to redecorate and rebalance it, an idea to which Wity and Renn241 agreed. declan was thinking about making his own remake of Hyper Paracosm before, so he was happy with this decision.
After its verification by Wity on 21 April 2026,[2] Ultra Paracosm was rated on 6 July 2026 and placed at #16 on the Demonlist on 5 August 2026, becoming the hardest Nine Circles level in the history of the list, surpassing Subsuming Vortex.
Verification
[edit | edit source]Wity began his verification journey with Ultra Paracosm on 4 October 2025, after Renn241 had given him the level.[3] In his initial streams, Wity mostly playtested and balanced Ultra Paracosm. By 12 October, Wity had achieved 45% twice and 22-100%.[4] After dropping Subsuming Vortex, he got back to verifying Ultra Paracosm and would get a new best of 91% by 28 December.[5] His other runs around that time consisted of 86% twice, 84%, and 22-100% twice.[6]
After that, Wity would seemingly go inactive; however, he was waiting for declan to redecorate and rebalance the level. His first stream of the new version happened on 18 March 2026, by which he had 37-100% twice.[7] He then achieved 36% on 20 March,[8] 27-94%, 32-100%, and 43% on 23 March,[9] 44% on 25 March,[10] 55% on 28 March,[11] and 27-100% on 13 April.[12] On 14 April, Wity got a new best of 71% after around 73,000 attempts.[13]
Finally, on 21 April, Wity verified Ultra Paracosm after 80,153 attempts and 15 live-streams.[2]
Description
[edit | edit source]- 0-8%: Ultra Paracosm begins with a cube sequence. The decoration is very bright in this section, with glowing obstacles and background. It features gravity and size changes, plenty of orbs, and teleport portals. The player must manoeuvre between tightly packed obstacles, requiring precise timing. The part ends with a dash orb.
- 8-17%: Next is a ship sequence with precise inputs and orbs, similar to those in Sakupen Circles and Sonic Wave Infinity, with speed changing along with music beats. Then, as a cube, the player must commit three difficult orb timings before being thrown into a blue pad corridor, where the level becomes dark purple, gravity portals appear, and another blue pad corridor leads into the drop.
- 17-56%: The drop begins with a quadruple-speed normal-size wave sequence, featuring speed and size changes that are reminiscent of the Tidal Wave drop. The room for error is minimal. The entire section is dimly lit with a glowing purple and pink Nine Circles effect.
- 56-68%: The drop ends, the music calms down, and the atmosphere brightens. Now, as the cube, the player must perform a few difficult orb timings and triple-spike jumps, shrinking in size and turning into a ball, which is the easiest part of the level with just one difficult click.
- 68-84%: The player enters a ship sequence and must navigate between tight spaces with just a few gravity changes, turning into a UFO briefly, and then, as a cube, must use a few fairly difficult orbs to move forward through platforms with spikes on the ground and the ceiling. A short easy ball break follows.
- 84-100%: In this last section, the player becomes a ship and must commit rather demanding and precise timings, which with huge nerves can make it a really difficult challenge to pass them. After that, the player changes into a cube and must hit a black orb, which will slam into the ground, and then they must precisely time their jump on the nearby triple-spike. As the cube moves into the darkness, the level's name and its creators appear, ending the level.
User coins
[edit | edit source]There is only one user coin that is free to collect at the end of the level, but the player can jump off the top of the slope to avoid it.

- According to the verifier Wity, if the entire level was as difficult as 20-37%, Ultra Paracosm could easily be ranked among the Top 3 hardest levels in the game.[14]
- The verifier Wity is known for having beaten every single Nine Circles level that was rated before 10 June 2025.
