Zoink is an American player, widely regarded as the best player in the game today and possibly the greatest of all time. He is known for beating top Extreme Demons with incredibly low attempt counts, and he is the second player after nSwish to complete all Main List Demons of the Demonlist.

Zoink gained recognition after he jumped from Bloodbath to Zodiac, later becoming the first victor of Slaughterhouse. His popularity skyrocketed after he verified Acheron, Avernus, and Tidal Wave, all in just over a year, becoming the first player to verify three Top 1 levels consecutively. He later also verified KOCMOC (update) and Tunnel of Despair, bringing the total to half of the Top 10. After a period of inactivity in early 2024, Zoink made a comeback and went on to verify Nullscapes, Ashley Wave Trials, Quanteuse processing, Defeated Circles, and Thinking Space II.[1] Besides that, he also became the first victor of Amethyst,[2] Flamewall,[3] and Society.[4] Around April and May 2026, he would start verifying Heliopolis, an upcoming Top 1 level by MindCap. He also verified the projected Top 1-5 level called Artemis 13 on 9 September 2026.[5]

Zoink is the #1 player on the Pointercrate Individual Stats Viewer, currently with a Demonlist score of over 7,500 as of 11 September 2026.

History

[edit | edit source]

Beginnings

[edit | edit source]

Zoink created his YouTube channel on 1 January 2018, but he did not upload any Geometry Dash-related videos until 11 December 2020. The video was titled 'Cold Sweat Without 'D' blocks, (Geometry Dash)', in which he used speed hacks to play the layout of the wave part in the level Cold Sweat without having the wave slide on the blocks.[6] His next video was uploaded on 18 January 2021, in which he did a noclip run on the old version of Silent Circles.[7]

A few videos following this, Zoink uploaded his first progress video on Sonic Wave on 2 March 2021, in which he makes a 55-94% run on the level.[8]

On 31 March 2021, Zoink verified an unrated Extreme Demon Jumper remake titled Bruhmper, uploaded to an alternate account named awmenewq.[9] The level and account no longer exist on the servers.

On 9 May 2021, Zoink achieved 75% on Sonic Wave,[10] and on 4 June, he got 50% on Zodiac, attempting to make a jump from Bloodbath.[11] He continued to upload progress videos on Zodiac, in which he achieved records of 77%[12] and 97%.[13] Sometime before his 97% record on Zodiac, he also started playing Tartarus, on which he got 64-100%.[14]

Rise to fame

[edit | edit source]

On 24 October 2021, Zoink successfully beat Zodiac as a jump from Bloodbath.[15] This level would not only be his first ever List Demon, but also one of the biggest jumps in Geometry Dash at the time.

On 27 October 2021, Zoink beat WOW, made by a popular Swedish player and level creator, TrusTa.[16] After a break from playing the level, on 17 December, Zoink beat Sonic Wave, an Extreme Demon verified by Sunix.[17] Four days later, he beat Deimos by EndLevel.[18] On 4 January 2022, Zoink achieved 51% on Slaughterhouse,[19] beat Cold Sweat on 7 January,[20] Calculator Core on 15 January,[21] and Bloodlust on 22 January.[22] After four months of playing, with fails at 92% and 93%, and 76,004 attempts, Zoink became the first victor of Slaughterhouse.[23]

On 4 February 2022, Zoink beat Tartarus after just 13,909 attempts, despite it being #4 on the Demonlist at the time.[24]

Zoink later joined Acheron's open-verification race after Wolvez dropped it. On his buffed version he got 66%,[25] then 82%,[26] 91%,[27] and 96%.[28] Zoink took a short break from verifying after failing at 96%. He finally verified the level on 23 August, after 72,808 attempts and a fail at 97%.[29]

On 14 January 2023, Zoink completed xo, which made him overtake spaceuk on the Pointercrate Individual Stats Viewer, who was the #1 player at the time.[30] Had spaceuk never hacked (or been caught earlier), Zoink would have become the Top 1 player back in the autumn of 2021.

On 22 March 2023, after 27,732 attempts, Zoink verified his buffed version of Avernus.[31] It sparked controversy in the community because of the 'fixed hitboxes', referring to the hitboxes of spikes that Zoink buffed, making the level look easier than it was in reality.[32]

On 24 April 2023, Zoink completed The Art of the Blade, the final level in the Top 75 he had not yet completed, making him the second player to complete the entire Main List after nSwish. On 7 June, Zoink verified Tunnel of Despair after about 12,000 attempts.[33] In the video's description, he said he was working on a secret project, saying he had about 30,000 attempts, with runs such as 20-100% and over 60%.

On 7 August 2023, Zoink completed Deimos by ItsHybrid after 5,209 attempts and a fluke from 78%, becoming its first victor.[34] On 18 September 2023, he completed Widestep after 3,500 attempts. Then on 9 October, he beat The Lightning Rod after 10,000 attempts.[35] On 30 December, Zoink verified the unnerfed version of Yatagarasu.[36]

Tidal Wave verification

[edit | edit source]

On 22 July 2023, Zoink finally revealed his secret verification project, Tidal Wave, which he had teased earlier and had been struggling with for the past two weeks. The furthest he progressed in that time was 50%, which took him about 25,000 attempts.[37] He also added that, from his view, 30-39% is the most difficult part of the level. A week later, he got a new 67% record.[38] Another week later, 74%,[39] and on 10 August, he got to 90%, commenting that it took him about 39,000 attempts to reach that point.[40]

Three days after his furthest run, Zoink failed at 95%, triggering a phenomenon known as 'Zoink's curse',[41] which is also associated with wPopoff, Trick, and Netermind, three Tidal Wave victors who also failed at 95%. Zoink's video was his last before completion, and he had already spent about 40,000 attempts by then.

On 9 September 2023, Zoink finally beat the level. This achievement took him 49,534 attempts, 25 fails past 73%, including the furthest fails at 95%, 94%, 93%, 92%, and 91%. It spanned over two months of practice. Tidal Wave was his most prominent achievement in the game yet, as the level was set to place at #1 long before its rating, which took over six months and sparked many controversies throughout the community.

2024 completions

[edit | edit source]

On 21 January 2024, Zoink became the first victor of Jigsaw, completing it in about 4,400 attempts.[42] On 6 February, he beat Eyes in the Water after 6,720 attempts.[43] After this completion, he would tend to go inactive quite often, posting way less than usual. Finally, half a year later, on 13 July, he achieved a 65% world record on Ashley Wave Trials, a solo Extreme Demon level created by OddMod.[44]

On 2 September 2024, after over 90,000 attempts and more than six months of playing, Zoink verified Nullscapes, calling it his hardest mental challenge, as the level was the opposite of his skill set.[45] His next completion was Belladonna, beaten after a fluke from 74% and 5,000 attempts.[46] On 27 October, Zoink got an 83% record on Ashley Wave Trials before achieving 89% not long after, although he decided not to upload the latter.[47]

On 2 November 2024, Zoink verified Ashley Wave Trials after 13,677 attempts.[48] The verification was completed using the Click Between Frames (CBF) mod, preventing the level from being rated until CBF (now known as Click Between Steps, or CBS) was officially added to the game in Update 2.208.

On 3 December 2024, Zoink completed Waterfall after two days and 3,460 attempts.[49] On 24 December, after five days and about 9,000 attempts, Zoink beat Anathema and became its second victor.[50]

On 31 December 2024, Zoink verified Quanteuse processing, a buffed joke remake of Quantum Processing, after playing it for the past three months.[51] The same day, he posted a 30-minute video showing his struggle with reactions to failed attempts and the eventual completion of Spectre, which he beat after five days of playing.[52]

Thinking Space II verification

[edit | edit source]

After verifying Ashley Wave Trials (and in the middle of his other verification project at the time, Quanteuse processing), Zoink would start verifying another upcoming Demon, Thinking Space II. On 16 November 2024, during his first stream of the level, he achieved runs of 50%, 47-77% and 68-100%.[53] He would launch his next stream on 3 January 2025, and by then, he had already verified Quanteuse processing. After three more streams, he beat his record, achieving 51%, 53-100% and 26-72%.[54]

On 4 February 2025, Zoink got a new best of 72%.[55] Eleven days later, he improved his record to 77%,[56] and on 18 February, he got a run of 40-100%.[57] On 25 February, Zoink made a post on Twitter, informing that he had achieved a new record of 79%[58] (the level's difficulty decreases around where Zoink failed, with 83% onwards being the credits at the time). The level has since been updated to shorten the credit screen, ending it at 95% instead.[59] Two days later, he failed at 73%. It was his 10th fail past 72%.[60]

Zoink would then take a rather long break from playing Thinking Space II. Right after coming back to it on 14 April 2025, he made notable progress on the level, achieving a new best of 90%.[61] The next day, he failed at 87%.[62] He reached 87% again on 20 April.[63] A week later, he achieved 88%.[64] By this time, Zoink had already failed three times at 90%. On 2 May, he would get a new best of 95%, marking his furthest fail on the level.[65] On 7 May, he achieved a 29-100% run.[66]

Finally, on 24 May 2025, after 80,000 attempts, 83 ending attempts, and 31 streams, Zoink verified Thinking Space II, and the verification of this level, as well as beating Amethyst, is his most difficult achievement in Geometry Dash.[67] On 8 June, Zoink uploaded an over-an-hour-long compilation video of the most memorable moments during the level's verification.[68]

2025 completions

[edit | edit source]

On 14 January 2025, another longer video appeared on Zoink's channel;[69] He tried beating the levels that can be found on the Speedhack Demonlist site. He attempted to beat Deadlocked, Theory of Everything 2, Bloodbath, and Sonic Wave. On 30 January, Zoink became the first victor of andromeda. It was the fifth video on his channel to be much longer than his usual completion videos, a style that he would later adopt for his future content.[70] On the post, famous creators like Vortrox and Vit12 encouraged him in this decision. On 9 February, he completed Judgement Knights after 2,230 attempts.[71] On 22 February, Zoink achieved a world record of 67-100% on Exasperation, an old former impossible level.[72] This run took Zoink 2,200 attempts. On 15 March, Zoink completed Apocalyptic Trilogy and became its fourth victor,[73] and then beat Subterminal Point on 30 March.[74]

Two weeks later, Zoink became the first victor of Every End, the hardest mega-collaboration hosted by MindCap.[75] As the next weeks slowly approached, Zoink fully concentrated on beating Thinking Space II, eventually verifying it on 25 May 2025.[1] On 31 May, Zoink verified Defeated Circles, which remained unrated for over three months until 27 September.[76] After returning from New York on 29 July 2025, Zoink resumed playing the Top 1 at the time, Amethyst, on which he had earlier achieved 80% and 28-100%.[77] On a stream that Zoink did on the same day, he achieved 47-100%, 46% and 19-74%.[78] On the next stream, recorded on 1 August, Zoink finally beat Amethyst, becoming the first victor.[79] He achieved this after 45,717 attempts, a furthest fail at 80% (98% not counting the end screen), and 15 streams overall.[2]

After beating Amethyst, Zoink started streaming Exasperation again. During his second stream on 2 August 2025, he set a record of 56% on the level.[80] He achieved 53% several minutes later. On 7 August, he beat his previous run record, achieving a 65-100% run.[81] Three days later, he got to 52% three times,[82] and on 14 August, he achieved 54%.[83] A week later, on his latest stream, Zoink got a new record of 67%.[84] On 1 September, he completed Delta,[85] the next day, Axinie after 1,243 attempts and two hours of playtime,[86] and on 7 September, ATOMIC CANNON Mk III after about 3,000 attempts and three hours of playtime.[87]

When completing Gaggatrondra on 15 September 2025, he called the level a 'secret top 1'.[88] On 26 September, he completed Operation Evolution after about 3,200 attempts. On that stream, he also started practising Swing Swing.[89] He completed it on 28 September, despite difficulties posed by his lower skill with the swing game-mode.[90] On 2 October, Zoink beat Damascus,[91] followed by Blood Echo and Allegiance on 3 October, with the latter taking only 350 attempts in total.[92] On 7 October, he beat Sevvend Clubstep after 2,993 attempts,[93] on 12 October, Viprin UFO,[94] and then submitted 23 levels he had previously completed to the Pointercrate Demonlist.[95] On 18 October, he completed NETWORK.

Flamewall completion

[edit | edit source]

Some time after that, Zoink started playing Flamewall and live-streaming frequently. On 2 November 2025, he got a 47-90% run.[96] On that same stream, he also reached the 500,000 YouTube subscribers milestone. Three days later, he did 38-64%,[97] and on 10 November, 24-76% and also 14%.[98] The next day, he was blessed with a 28% record.[99] The day after that, a 36% record.[100] On 16 November, he was extremely consistent, getting a new record of 68% and 16-100%.[101] On 21 November, he got a new best of 77%.[102]

On 25 November 2025, Zoink's worst fail on the level occurred at 99%,[103] the same as Cuatrocientos a while back on 31 August. After coming back from a nine-day break, he got 79% on 30 November,[104] 78% on 2 December,[105] and 90% and 93% on 4 December.[106][107] On that same day on his Twitter account, Zoink informed that he had finally beaten Flamewall after over 63 hours of playtime and 11,745 attempts.[108] He then released the completion video on 19 December, comprised of funny moments and his fails on the level.[3] The same day, Zoink would start his next great project.

ORBIT verification

[edit | edit source]

On 5 November 2025, MindCap, a well-known level creator, teased a new project on his YouTube channel called ORBIT, of which Zoink was chosen to verify.[109] The level functions so that every input the player makes is an orb click. The community already knew that Zoink would be the verifier of the level, long before MindCap had even revealed him. It was due to his game icon finding itself stuck in the Ball Pit—a giant pool of orbs that slowly fill up, and if a player clicked the last orb incorrectly, they would find their cube stuck in this exact way.

On 23 November 2025, MindCap finally revealed Zoink as ORBIT's verifier.[110] Then on 2 December, he showcased the level in its entirety.[111]

On 19 December 2025, Zoink began verifying ORBIT. On his first stream, he already achieved a run of 72-100%, followed by 69-100% a few minutes later.[112] On his next stream on 21 December, he achieved 59-72%.[113] On 22 December, Zoink did 69-100% again.[114] The next day, he achieved runs such as 42-71%, 36-62%, 56-72% twice, and 72-100%.[115] He then got 32-57% on 26 December.[116] Two days later, he got 56-72%.[117] On his 30 December stream, Zoink started playing from 0%, quickly achieving 12%, 14% and 15%, but also 12-23% and 28-49%.[118]

He started playing ORBIT again on 3 January 2026, achieving a new record of 34%.[119] On 5 January, it was Zoink's most consistent stream yet. He got runs ranging from 26-58%, 40% to 43%, 42-78%, 69-100%, and 72%.[120] On a stream on 9 January, Zoink got to 57%,[121] and two days later, 61-100%, 23-59%, 44% and 58%.[122] Zoink achieved 57% the next day,[123] and 35% two days later.[124] On 16 January, Zoink reached 60%.[125] The next day, his consistency with the level really showed, as he achieved 56% and 62%.[126]

On the stream on 18 January 2026, Zoink reached his best of 72% again.[127] He also gave a reaction to Quanteuse processing's at #6. On 20 January, he achieved a new record of 74%.[128] The next day, Zoink got a new record of 82%.[129] On 25 January, Zoink got a new best of 93%.[130] On 30 January, Zoink almost beat ORBIT, as his icon fell into the Ball Pit mentioned earlier.[131] This happened because he clicked the wrong teleport orb at the end of the level. On 31 January, Zoink got 87% twice.[132]

The next month, on the fourth day, he got runs of 92% and 90%.[133] Then, he got 83% the next day.[134] On 7 February, he got a 73% run.[135] On 8 February, Zoink got 87% once again.[136] On 9 February, he achieved 71%.[137]

On 10 February, Zoink finally verified ORBIT.[138] Although it took him around 50 days of playing, dispersed over various streams, he completed the level in only around 30,000 attempts. Throughout his entire journey with the level, despite MindCap opposing it at first, he buffed it beyond its initial Top 15 difficulty. The level ended up placing at #5 on the Demonlist, above Nullscapes and below Tidal Wave, and at the same time became MindCap's new hardest created level that got verified.

Post-ORBIT

[edit | edit source]

On 17 March 2026, he made a comeback to the Top 8 level BOOBAWAMBA, with his most notable runs being 36-73%, 64-100%, and 36-86%.[139] On 18 March, he got 55%, 9-62%, and 57%.[140] The next day, he got 50-100%, 65%, and a new record of 69%,[141] The next couple of days, he got 36-100%, 71%, and 74%.[142]

On 22 March 2026, Zoink finally beat BOOBAWAMBA after six streams, seven total days of playing, a worst fail of 83%, and 7,946 attempts, by far the fewest attempts anyone had spent on the level.[143] With this completion, Zoink has also completed the entire Top 25 of the Demonlist. On 31 March, he completed CHIL in around 6,500 attempts.[144] On 5 April, Zoink completed the Top 150 level Graceful, then completed it twice in a row, and got 50% while going for a three-in-a-row completion.[145] On 9 April, he beat Diabolic ClubStep in only around 2,200 attempts.[146] On 12 April, Zoink almost fluked chrome hearts from 28%, but he unfortunately died to the last straight-fly at 93%.[147] He completed the level on 17 April.[148]

Zoink then started playing the Penumbral on 22 April 2026, achieving 69%, 35-97%, and 60-100% that day.[149] The following day, he got 77% and 53-100%,[150] then achieved 93% and 92% twice on 24 April.[151] On 25 April, he completed Penumbral after about 6,300 attempts and seven hours of playtime, of which about 2,700 of those attempts were from the first click.[152]

Heliopolis verification

[edit | edit source]

Zoink started playing Heliopolis after seeing various Twitter posts calling him out for playing 'easy' levels on the Demonlist and urging him to play a much more difficult level that would genuinely push, test, and likely improve his skill.[153] What also might have contributed to him deciding to start playing Heliopolis is the large number of people on his live-streams asking him if he would try or verify the level.

On 27 April 2026, Zoink would start playing the level simply for fun and to see how far he could get from 0% in a day.[154] During his stream, he got past 21% and achieved 16-28%, all in just 2,969 attempts. Seeing how fast Zoink progressed, with the beginning of the level being more difficult than the later parts, a large number of people started urging him to verify the level and claim the $10,700 bounty placed by MindCap.[155]

On day 2, Zoink set a new best of 24% and then a new record of 26%, all in 5,988 overall attempts.[156] On day 3, he would try making runs in the second, easier half of the level,[157] meanwhile also setting a new best of 29%, passing the UFO with 8,357 overall attempts. On day 4, he managed to achieve 82-100%, 77-100%, 60-100%, 27-44%, and 49-79% on the level that day, beating it in five runs after 11,020 overall attempts.[158] On 2 May 2026, he got a new best of 32%.[159] He also did 27-63% that day, beating Heliopolis in three runs after 14,613 overall attempts. Zoink would then work towards achieving 49-100%. On 3 May, despite falling sick, he still achieved 32% again, with 37-85%, 10-48%, 24-56%, 49-80%, and 49-96%, across 17,086 attempts.[160] Finally, on 5 May 2026, Zoink managed to tie the 49-100% (48-100% using pre-2.2 percentages) world record committed by Abdieldevil.[161] His other good runs consisted of 49-98%, 27-63%, 30%, and 34%.

On 7 May 2026, Zoink announced that he would attempt to verify Heliopolis.[153] However, this announcement caused an uproar in the Twitter community, with various players looking down on Zoink, seeing him as a 'thief' of the verification despite only Abdieldevil and garbag having given the level a serious shot, and both of them standing in support of Zoink and wishing him the best of luck on the verification.[162][163]

After this verification announcement, Zoink later reached 37% and 40% in the next stream,[164] then 27-65%, 37-89%, and 33-78%.[165] Just the next stream, on 10 May 2026, Zoink did 37-100%, essentially beating the level in two runs in just 25,581 attempts.[166] Another stream later, he got 39%,[167] and the next stream, another 39%, as well as the second 40%, and a run of 16-56%.[168] On 13 May, he increased the record to 41%, and then finally set a new world record of 47%, tying the record set by garbag but going further by a few decimals.[169] The next stream, he got 46% and a record run of 27-73%.[170] On 17 May, he attempted to play Heliopolis with CBF, as he did in the first stream. In that stream, he got another 47%.[171] On 28 May 2026, Zoink took a break from streaming until 4 June, as he would go outside his town. Zoink returned from his break and, on 7 June, set a new world record of 51%, reaching the spider part.[172]

After that achievement and a couple more streams, Zoink would take a break from Heliopolis and move on to other ventures. During his first stream of beating Snowbound on 15 July 2026, he mentioned that Heliopolis would receive an update in August with buffs and fixes.[173]

Extreme Demon Roulette

[edit | edit source]

On 26 March 2026, Zoink started playing a very popular challenge within the top player community, the 'Extreme Demon Roulette', where a player rolls an Extreme Demon currently placed on the Demonlist. In this challenge, the player must generate 100 levels and achieve a certain percentage on each level; the percentage increases by 1% for each new level. The challenge progresses until the player gives up or reaches the end by completing an Extreme Demon 100%.

On the first day of the 'Extreme Demon Roulette' challenge, Zoink got to 25% after completing 24% in Delta.[174] On 31 March, he played roulette again, getting to 28% after reaching 27% in Wavterminal.[175] On 1 April, he completed 28% on Silent clubstep and rolled 29% on Sevvend Clubstep.[176] On 3 April, he got to 32% after reaching 31% on Starlight Summit.[177] On 8 April, he got to 35% after getting 34% on Natural Disaster.[178] On 10 April, he got to 37% after achieving 36% on The Wonder of You.[179] On 19 April, he continued with the roulette, getting 37% on Belladonna, then 38% on Levigo, 39% on KOCMOC, 40% on Waterfall, and 41% on UNKNOWN.

Society completion

[edit | edit source]

On 21 June 2026, Zoink began streaming the newly verified Top 1-level Society. He had stated that he had previously pre-practised Society on a harder copy of the level for 17 hours. During that stream, he completed the level in seven runs and achieved 33%.[180] Off-stream, he achieved a new best of 67%.[181] In his second stream the day after, he reached 74% and got a run of 65-100%.[182] He then achieved a run of 46-100% in his third stream.[183] By the next stream, he had gotten 44-100% twice.[184] Eventually, he managed to get a new best of 81% the next stream.[185] Later that day, he accumulated six 44-100% runs.[186] On 30 June, he improved his best to 86%.[187] In the meantime, he had a meetup with TCD on 2 July. During that meetup, he also beat Cycles X.[188] He returned to streaming Society on 8 July. He accumulated many fails past 73% throughout his sessions. Meanwhile, on 12 July, he beat a parody level of GRIEF called GREFG.[189] On 13 July, Zoink finally beat Society, becoming the first victor.[4]

Artemis 13 verification

[edit | edit source]

During his first stream of beating Snowbound on 15 July 2026, Zoink announced his next verification project, Artemis 13, which was projected to be roughly Top 1-3 in difficulty.[190] Note that the level's original host, suffixpoint, allowed Zoink to alter the level however he wants, so Zoink most likely wanted to buff it to overtake Society, the current hardest Demon. The level is heavily inspired by Extreme Demons such as Acheron, UNKNOWN, and Penumbral.

Meanwhile, on 18 July, Zoink quickly beat Snowbound.[191] Right after, he tried playing Artemis 13 and also learning Ultra Paracosm by declan, which he later beat on 22 July, after his worst fail of 54%.[192]

Zoink shifted his full focus to Artemis 13, making his first major progress of 52-90%.[193] By the next stream, he achieved runs of 28%, 16-47%, 45-80%, and 68-100%.[194] He would continue improving his runs each stream: 35%,[195] 41%, 32-74%,[196] 42%,[197] and 48%.[198] Eventually, he managed to get a new best of 61% on 30 July,[199] followed by 66% on 3 August 2026.[200] Later that day, he also beat Voltage off-stream.[201] On 5 August, he got a record run of 32-93%.[202] On the side, he beat Tung Tung Sahurcles on 7 August.[203] He set a new record run of 42-100% on 12 August.[204] After taking a small break to beat Phobos, fluking from 61%,[205] Zoink got a new best of 70% on 15 August.[206] After a few more streams and a small break to revisit Exasperation, he improved his best to 72% on 21 August.[207]

Zoink would get on a streak of new bests, achieving 73% twice[208][209] and 79% by 27 August, making it his first attempt at the last cube.[210] That would later be updated to 82% due to a percentage update.

On 30 August 2026, a controversy involving the suffixpoint, the original host of Artemis 13, unfolded, prompting Zoink to drop the level initially.[211][212] However, news came out that the suffixpoint transferred ownership of the level to mvngo. Zoink later continued verifying the level, but he nerfed it to roughly Top 5-10 difficulty; he achieved 86% that day. On 4 September, he improved his best to 90%.[213] The next day, he got a 95% fail.[214] In that same stream, he beat aftermath, completing the entire Apocalyptic Trilogy.[215] Right after, he tried playing ROCKBOTTOM and achieved 83%;[216] he beat it the next day.[217] Besides these levels, he had been briefly playing Antarctic Lights in the background, releasing his first notable progress of 69% on 8 September.[218] Finally, Zoink managed to verify Artemis 13 on 9 September.[5]

Heliopolis resumption

[edit | edit source]

On the day Zoink verified Artemis 13, MindCap finished and released an update to Heliopolis on 9 September, as Zoink teased about two months earlier, intended to be harder than Society but easier than GRIEF.[219] In the meantime, Zoink preferred to finish up Antarctic Lights before tackling Heliopolis again. In a stream on 11 September, he improved his best from 69% to 77%.[220] Two days later, Zoink beat Antarctic Lights after two ending fails: 88% and 90%.[221]

After finishing Antarctic Lights, Zoink picked up Heliopolis again, with his first stream reaching 36% and a 49-94% run.[222] In the next stream, he managed 50%, almost back to his original best of 51%.[223] The very next stream, he tied his new best, getting 51% on the buffed version and beating his original best by a few decimal places.[224] Afterwards, he finished off the run of 49-100% in the next stream.[225] He later set a new record run of 16-80%.[226]

On 21 September, Zoink finally surpassed his record, reaching 66% and passing the spider part.[227] On 1 October 2026, Zoink achieved 85%, fluking from 66%.[228]

Zoink's verified levels

Rated levels
  • Acheron (Featured) - The 'spiritual successor' to Tartarus hosted by ryamu and Riot. The level was not only Zoink's first Top 1 verification but also his first-ever verification on the Demonlist.
  • Artemis 13 (Featured) - A projected Top 1-3 level hosted by mvngo.
  • Ashley Wave Trials (Featured) - A wave-only Extreme Demon created by OddMod and believed to be nearly impossible in its unnerfed state. It was eventually slightly nerfed to be Top 1-difficulty at the time. The level was unexpectedly rated by RobTop on 29 January 2026 after he had implemented his own version of CBF into the vanilla Geometry Dash.
  • Avernus (Star-rated) - The 'antagonist' to The Golden hosted by PockeWindfish. It dethroned Acheron as the hardest level in the game. Despite initially receiving a lot of criticism, it is now considered one of the best Top 1s in the game.
  • Defeated Circles (Star-rated) - A space-themed Nine Circles level hosted by Galaxium. The inspiration for its creation was taken from various Nine Circles levels and the 'You So Defeated' challenge levels.
  • KOCMOC (Epic) - Initially verified by Trick, an Extreme Demon created by the members of Cherry Team. Its gameplay is heavily inspired by Slaughterhouse's.
  • Nullscapes (Featured) - The sequel to Shardscapes, featuring tighter gaps with significantly less room for error.
  • ORBIT (Mythic) - An outer-space-themed level by MindCap where every single click is an orb. It is the first Mythic-rated non-platformer Extreme Demon.
  • Quanteuse processing (Star-rated) - A joke remake of Quantum Processing created by Blankb and Renn241. It took over a year to get rated.
  • SLAM (Epic) - A NLW (Not List Worthy) level created by Darwin. It features bright visuals, fast-paced gameplay, and many triggers. Verified by Zoink on 12 April 2026.[229] This is the only Zoink verification that is not difficult enough to place on the Demonlist.
  • The Bloop (Star-rated) - A significantly buffed remake of Kenos with blue as the main colour instead of red, with its theme concentrated around oceanic depths and the titular Bloop, a fictional sea monster. It took about three months to be rated on 23 June 2026.
  • Thinking Space II (Featured) - The sequel to Thinking Space hosted by DrCuber and CairoX, and a former Top 1 level on the Demonlist. It uses a greyscale colour palette throughout, paired with a nostalgic song and short but excruciating gameplay similar to its predecessor, making it an intimidating endurance test. Took over three months to get rated.
  • Through The Gates (Star-rated) - A formerly impossible level, known for its extreme difficulty increase in its ending. It was unexpectedly rated nearly 2.5 years later on 19 January 2026, along with four other levels that had been unrated for a long time.
  • Tidal Wave (Star-rated) - A three-minute-long Extreme Demon created by OniLink. It was finally placed at #1 on the Demonlist after infamously taking five months to be rated, widely considered Zoink's best verification to date, as his completion video of the level was his first ever upload to reach 10 million views.
  • Tunnel of Despair (Featured) - Often mistaken as a sequel to Abyss of Darkness, created by Exen and decorated by ivyteal. Uses an intense song and visuals, a black-red-white colour palette, and contains a lot of tight and demanding wave gameplay.
Unrated levels
  • Acheron buffed - A planned update to Acheron that was later uploaded as a separate level after Acheron was update-locked.
  • Christmashouse - An unchanged version of Slaughterhouse using green colour, as Christmas is often associated with a lot of green.
  • Unnerfed Yatagarasu - A Top 20-difficulty level that is a remarkably harder and never-officially-released version of Yatagarasu.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • Zoink has garnered over 1.3 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.[230]
    • Zoink became the first top player ever to achieve 1 million subscribers.
    • On his 400,000 subscriber milestone celebration, Zoink revisited Zodiac, his first-ever List Demon.
    • Zoink has a second YouTube channel, ZoinkLIVE, with over 215,000 subscribers, reserved for clips of varying lengths from his streams, uploaded in advance to his main YouTube channel.
  • Zoink was the first guest of The Dasher Podcast.[231]
    • Zoink later reappeared as 40th guest of The Dasher Podcast.[232]
    • Zoink was also the first guest of the Secret Way interviews.[233]
  • Zoink dethroned spaceuk on the Pointercrate Individual Stats Viewer on 13 January 2023, holding the #1 spot until 11 June 2024, when Trick overtook him after a reign of 515 days.
    • After Trick overtook Zoink, the two battled for the #1 spot for three months, overtaking each other back-to-back several times, but since 14 November 2024, Zoink has retained the #1 spot.
  • On 24 April 2023, Zoink completed The Art of the Blade. With this completion, he became the second player in the history of Geometry Dash to complete every Top 75 Demon on the Demonlist.[234][235]
  • After the verification and the placement of Nullscapes at #3 on the Demonlist and Avernus being moved from #5 to #2, Zoink held the title of verifying the entire Top 4 at the time: Tidal Wave, Avernus, Acheron, and Nullscapes.
    • Zoink is the first player to verify four Top 1s on the Demonlist, those being Acheron, Avernus, Tidal Wave, and Thinking Space II.
  • Zoink used to play with a 'lenny' cube.[8]
  • On 19 September 2025, Thinking Space II was rated, followed by Defeated Circles on 27 September. The former is currently ranked Top 1, and the latter is currently placed above Slaughterhouse.
  • Zoink's attempt count for Nullscapes (over 90,000) is the highest amount he has spent on any level, followed by Thinking Space II (83,913) and Slaughterhouse (76,004).
  • Zoink verified a small buff-date of Acheron on 30 January 2023, adding slight buffs and fixes to the level.[236] However, RobTop update-locked the level, so Zoink uploaded the updated version onto his account.
  • Zoink did a run of 60-100% on Cold Sweat at 1.2x speed, which contains the infamous wave segment.[237]
  • Codependence, the hardest 2-player level in the game, has become a running joke among Zoink's fans due to him famously avoiding playing the level.
    • Zoink is most likely waiting for Codependence to fall off the Main List of the Demonlist to complete its entirety for the second time.[238]
      • While Codependence fell off the Main List, another 2-player level cognitohazard was placed, so he is likely going to wait for cognitohazard to also fall of the list.
  • On 24 December 2024, Zoink posted a 30-minute video on his YouTube channel, marking the beginning of a new era for his content, as many of the videos that followed would exceed two minutes.[50]
  • On 2 January 2025, due to acquiring a new computer, all of his game statistics were reset. On 3 February 2025, Zoink tweeted that he had regained his game statistics.
  • On 30 March 2025, Zoink beat Time Extreme within two hours of its verification by Vortrox.[239]
  • On 4 May 2025, while verifying Thinking Space II, Zoink failed at 95%, the same percentage at which his furthest Tidal Wave fail was located. He beat the level three weeks later.[240]
    • Zoink's fail occurred on the same day as wPopoff's 94% fail on Amethyst.
      • Interestingly, both players completed their verification on the same day, 25 May 2025.
  • On 13 July 2025, wPopoff reverified Amethyst to input a CBF blocker into the level. This reverification made Zoink, who used the CBF extension, lose all the progress he had made on the level.[241][242]
    • On 29 July 2025, Zoink attempted to beat Amethyst again and completed it swiftly on 1 August 2025.[2]
      • On his Geometry Dash account, Zoink called the level the 'worst top 1', and expressed his dissatisfaction about Thinking Space II still being unrated.
  • On 26 July 2025, Zoink travelled to New York, celebrating the creation of the TCD YouTube channel, along with wPopoff and all TCD members. A live stream and three shorts were uploaded to the channel.[243]
  • Zoink's completion of Penumbral, on which he took about 6,300 attempts, is almost eight times lower than the first victor's and over four times lower than the second's.
  • In early 2025, Zoink stated that his final Top 1 verification might be the currently work-in-progress project, Tsunami by OniLink, a sequel to Tidal Wave. However, it is not certain whether he has since changed his mind, especially given his unexpected decision to pick up Heliopolis.
  • On 18 August 2025, Zoink's profile was completely removed from the Pointercrate Stats Viewer page during a Discord call due to Cursed banning him as a joke, causing all of Zoink's records to be removed, which then had to be manually accepted one by one.[244]
  • On 24 March 2026, during a stream of doing one attempt on every Extreme Demon he has beaten, Zoink would be hacked on Pointercrate alongside wPopoff. His Pointercrate name would be changed several times to 'Tripple T zoink', 'hi zoink', and 'nah, it's a vuln', as well as 'When Exasperation? Shoutout GD BEAN NEWS', while his nationality was changed to North Korean. These changes would ultimately be reverted.[245]
  • During his live-stream on 12 September 2025, Zoink did a face reveal.[246]
  • On 27 September 2025, Zoink's live-stream of the level Swing Swing got viewbotted, giving him over 13,000 fake viewers at one point. His subscriber count was also botched, showing over 501,000 subscribers.[247] The next day, his subscriber count was briefly back to normal before the same thing occurred on his next stream, with the stream's fake viewer count peaking at over 113,000.
  • Zoink's YouTube completion video of Pagoda was unlisted and made public over a year later. One user in the video's comments said, 'Randomly unlisting the pagoda completion over a year later is such a zoink move.'[248]
  • On 16 May 2022, Zoink changed his in-game name from Z01nk to zZoink.[249]
    • On 23 January 2026, Zoink changed his name again from zZoink to Zoink.
      • On 15 February 2026, Zoink's in-game account got leaderboard-banned. He thinks it is due to the latest name change.
  • Zoink is estimated to earn anywhere between $20,000 and $40,000 per month in YouTube ad revenue, donations, and other ways of receiving income online.
  • The 'The Geometry Dash Awards 2025: Winners' video on RobTop's YouTube channel, in which Zoink was awarded the best player, premiered on the same day as his birthday.
  • EtherGD made a video covering Zoink's history and quick domination of the game.[250]
  • Vortrox reacted to Zoink's announcement of verifying Heliopolis, mentioning the drama coming from it, calling out people who were making unintelligent accusations, and generally supporting Zoink's decision of doing what he wants to do, as long as it is fun for him.[251]
  • Zoink's verification of Heliopolis (provided he beats the level) differs from his other Top 1 verifications, as MindCap prohibited anyone from changing anything in the level, as it is an open verification.
    • Zoink thinks it is a good thing, because his click pattern can become substantially more refined and he could therefore potentially take less time to beat the level.
  • Zoink has a Heliopolis poster on his room's wall.
  • Zoink's verifications are known for taking a very long time to receive a rate, which has led to a joke within the community that RobTop dislikes Zoink.
    • Zoink is also infamous for severely underestimating the levels he verifies. One of the most egregious examples is The Bloop, which he estimated to be in the Top 20-75 on the Demonlist but actually placed at #10.
  • One of Zoink's old in-game names was awmenewq.[252]
  • Zoink's verification of Artemis 13 sparked criticism for being a 'slop' level, with people saying its gameplay and decoration are generally bland, boring, and repetitive, and that it was made only to place high on the Demonlist. The popular Geometry Dash YouTube Shorts creator Mr. Happy Junior uploaded a video in which he concurred with this sentiment, calling Artemis 13, before its nerf, the worst Top 1 in the game's history.[253]
    • Zoink reacted to the video, saying the level's gameplay is not that bad, and it was atrocious when he first laid his hands on it. Zoink also explained that the level looks mostly the same throughout because it was made by only four creators: suffixpoint, STARhack, CerrunoGMD, and Hexy. Zoink added that as long as the level maintains consistent quality throughout, it can look similar from beginning to end, and there is essentially nothing wrong with it.
  • Zoink verified Artemis 13 exactly three years after verifying Tidal Wave.
